Varian's POV:2 years after Vat7k

"Goggles this is your proposal plan! You're making it sound like we're planning some kind of robbery" Eugene said.

I looked up at him from the map of the castle i laid out on my desk.

"I- well- uh...i have nothing to say to that!" I said.

"Can you fill us in on the plan again, Varian?" Lance asked.

"Ok, so you two are going to cause a distraction that will cause Ellie to be away from the garden long enough for me to set everything up, she's usually out there helping with the plants, we've been trying to find a way to make them grow quicker, anyway, you're going to keep her as far away as possible"

"Uh huh, got it" Eugene said.

"You're not even listening are you?" I asked.

I turned around to see them messing with my alchemy spheres.

"Guys! Focus!" I yelled.

"No offense Goggles but this plan is more elaborate then the multiple times i tried proposing to Rapunzel before i got it right"

"Look, i never forced you guys to help, i could've sent Ruddiger as a distraction but you insisted on helping, and now you aren't even listening to me" i said.

"I'm doing this for team awesome kid, we stick together"

"Right, well can you pay a little more attention please?"

"Alright alright, keep her away from the garden, we got that, and what will you be doing?" Lance asked.

"I'll be at the terrace setting up for our date, i spoke to Rapunzel, got her permission, and then when the time is right, i pull this out" i reached into my pocket and pulled out the ring .

"Oh! Pretty" Lance commented.

I put it back in my pocket.

"Yeah, and i'm not trusting either of you with touching it, i'm not gonna risk losing it! Now, if we want this plan to work we need to put it into action now!" I said.

They both ran out.

Ruddiger got up on the desk and looked at me.

"I hope i don't regret trusting them with this" i said.
