(Yes i'm still planning to update the previous books, but i've made everyone wait long enough as it is for the next part so here it is :) )

Leila's POV: 5 years later

I was sitting in the fields when a butterfly flew by.

I got up and started chasing it before tripping and falling on a rock.

I looked up and watched it get scared and fly away.

"Butterfly?" I said sadly.

"Leila, it's time to go home now"

I turned around to see my mom smiling at me.

"Ok mama" i said, standing up and grabbing her hand.

Varian's POV:

"Ok, if my calculations are correct, adding a few drops of this compound here should be enough to finally get our plant growth solution working" i said.

I turned to look at Ruddiger who was helping clean up the lab.

"What do you think buddy? Think we've finally figured it out?" I asked.

He chittered happily.

"I think so too" i said.

I held the solution over the vial.

"All i need is a drop" i said.

Suddenly the door opened causing me to lose focus and spill half of the solution into the vial.

"We're home" Ellie said.

I quickly grabbed the nutralizing compound and poured it into the solution before it could explode.

"Hi papa!" Leila said, happily.

I laughed a little and lifted my goggles up from over my eyes.

"Hey, there are my girls! How was the walk?" I asked.

"I saw a butterfly!" Leila said.

Ruddiger ran up to her, chittering excitedly.

She sat on the floor and started petting him.

"Hi Ruddy!" She laughed.

Ellie laughed a little and walked over to me.

I gave her a kiss and we both turned to look at our daughter who was now staring up at us.

"Can i watch you work, papa?" Leila asked.

"As long as you promise not to mess with anything you shouldn't" i said.

"I promise" she said.

"Well, you two have fun now" Ellie laughed a little before going upstairs.

Leila looked at the vial containing the solution i was working on.

"What's that, papa?" She asked.

"Oh" i picked it up and showed it to her "It's supposed to help plants grow but i can't seem to get it right, i've been trying for years"

"I think you can do it!" She said "you and mama are the smartest people i know!"

I smiled and put the vial back on the table.

"Thanks for the encouragement sweetheart" i said "get yourself a pair of goggles and you can help me"

"Really!? Ok!" She said.

"There should be a pair in the storage closet" i said.

Leila's POV:

I ran to the storage closet and looked through the boxes.

Then i noticed something in the corner.

A mouse caught in one of my dad's traps.

"Papa!" I called him over.

"One minute" he said.

I looked back at the mouse, then at the nutralizing particle on the shelf.

"Maybe i can help you" i said, grabbing the particle and sprinkling it on the pink goo.

The mouse didn't move.

"Are you hurt?"

I looked at the healing serum on the shelf.

I took a little bit and gave it to the mouse.

"Not to much" i said "my papa says to much can be dangerous for animals"

"What are you doing over there?" Dad laughed.

He walked over to me.

"I helped the mouse!" I said happily, watching it go back into the little hole in the wall.

"Papa, you need to check your traps more often" i said.

"I'll try to remember that" dad said.

Varian's POV: later

"Ready to go?" I asked, packing Leila's bags for the trip up to the castle.

She nodded but stopped halfway out the door.

"Wait!" She said, running back over to Ellie and putting her hand on her stomach.

"I forgot to say bye to baby brother" she laughed.

"You go have fun" Ellie said, ruffling up Leila's hair.

"Bye mama!" She said, before running back over to me.
