Elizabeth's POV:

"You two kids have fun now" Eugene joked.

I rolled my eyes.

"Oh! Please be careful with those!" I heard Varian tell one of the guards that was helping load our stuff into the caravan.

I looked over to see the guard carrying a box of Varian's alchemy equipment.

"Need some help over there?" I asked.

"That's okay! I've got this!" He said, taking the box from the guard and loading it into the caravan.

"Will you guys be able to handle things while we're gone?" I asked.

"Of course" Eugene said.

"Remember! The hot water tanks need to be checked every three hours, you can't let them overflow! If they do you know what will happen, and i don't want my machines being responsible for another explosion! Oh which reminds me! Keep Lance away from my stuff!"  Varian reminded him.

"Relax, we've got this under control! You two lovebirds go have fun!" Eugene reassured us.

"Oh, but be careful not to get turned into actual birds! It happened to us once, it was not fun!" He added.

"Noted" Varian said.

Then he turned to me.

"Well, shall we get going m'lady?" He asked.

"Let's go" i said.

A few hours later

"You know, it feels weird to not hear our friends being crazy all the time." I said.

"Yeah, tell me about it, but at least we get a little break" he said, getting up from where he was sitting.

He went and turned music on, making it a little less awkwardly quiet.

"Plus, this means i'll get to spend some quality time with my wife without any distractions"

He held out his hand and i took it.

He pulled me out of my chair spun me around.

I laughed a little.

"It's still so weird to hear" i said.

"I'm helping you get used to it, is it working?" He asked.

I grabbed his shirt collar.

"Yeah" i said, before pulling him into a kiss.
