Elizabeth's POV:

"Ok everyone" Varian said "i think it's time we stop for the night, it's getting late"

"I agree, Yong fell asleep already" i said.

We found a clearing where we set up a tent and laid out a blanket in the grass.

We laid Yong down in the tent so he could sleep, Athena and Ruddiger went to sleep too, while me, Varian, and Hugo stayed up a little longer.

Varian took a smaller bag off of Prometheus' back.

"Who's hungry? I packed ham sandwiches and cocoa" he asked.

He handed out food to each of us as we sat on the blanket and stared up at the stars in the sky.

We sat there for a good half hour hanging out and pointing out different constellations.

And by 'we' i mostly mean me and Varian, Hugo wanted nothing to do with what we were doing.

After he finished eating he went to bed and it was just me and Varian.

"Hey Ellie?" Varian got my attention.

"Yeah?" I turned to him.

"Do you think we'll be able to save mom?" He asked.

"Of course we will" i said.

"Varian it's getting really late, we should go to bed."

He looked at me and nodded.

I laid down next to him on the blanket.

He kissed my forehead.

"Goodnight Varian" i said.

"Goodnight Ellie" he yawned "i love you"

I laughed a little.

"I love you too" i said.
