Ulla's POV(past):

It's more amazing then i could have imagined....

a few quick trips to our home kingdoms and we were in the library.

this much knowledge could take years to go through.

but that wasn't my main focus

i looked at a few things, incantation writing, advanced alchemy, even some forms of magic, even if that's never really been my strong suit.

Donella was way more into it.

I gathered my notes and waited by the exit.

Donella looked over at me.

"Ready to go?" i asked.

"i'm not leaving yet"

"What?"

Elizabeth's POV(present):

I opened my eyes to see we were all sitting in a dark room.

"Is everyone ok?" I heard Varian ask.

"I'm ok" i heard Yong say.

"Yeah" Nuru said.

"I'm fine" i said.

"We're alright, where are we?" Hugo asked.

We heard laughing and a tall man with dark armor like clothes and a scratch over his eye walked in.

"Who are you!? Let us out!" Nuru demanded.

"Sorry princess" the man said "i don't take orders from you, the boss said to keep you all here till she returns"

"Cyrus, i'm back" i heard a voice say as a hooded woman walked into the room.

She pulled her hood down.

.....mom?

"Let us out!" I yelled, trying to stand up before being pulled back down by a chain around my ankle connected to the wall.

"Ah ah ah, don't be so hostile now my dear, i'll let you all out...eventually" she said.

The man, Cyrus, walked over to Hugo and undid his chains.

"Well done Hugo, all according to plan..." mom said.

Hugo had a nervous look on his face.

We all looked over at him.

"Hugo?" I heard Varian say.

"Can we all give a round of applause to our amazing little actor!?" Mom laughed.

"You've been working for her this whole time!?" I yelled at him.

He didn't speak.

"Answer me!" I yelled.

"I'm sorry..." was all he said.

"I don't believe it..." i said angerly.

I looked over at Varian who had tears starting to form in his eyes.

Then i looked at Nuru and Yong.

"Guys hold me back!" I said.

Each of them grabbed one of my arms to stop me from trying to attack Hugo.

"Do you have any idea how much it hurts to have someone betray you!?" I cried.

He glanced at Varian then looked a me.

"You would know..." he said.

The room went silent.

Nuru covered her mouth in shock so i took the opportunity to use my now free hand to hit him in the face.

He was just close enough for me to reach.

"Do not drag Varian into this! He's changed!" I cried.

Varian was completely silent, i could see tears running down his face.

"I'd like to thank you all for helping Hugo retrieve the Totems for me, well, we best be on our way" Mom said as Hugo hesitantly walked over and stood next to her.

Cyrus grabbed Varian's bag before walking over and grabbing him by the arm.

"What are you doing!? Let him go!" I yelled.

"We need someone to translate Ulla's journal" Mom laughed

Cyrus walked out with Varian, Hugo following behind.

"I won't let you do this!" I yelled.

"You don't understand my dear" mom sighed "just like your father...i'm only doing what's best for us"

"What's best!? I was perfectly happy with the life i was living!" I told her.

She left the room without saying anything.

As the door slammed shut Ruddiger ran up to it, scratching at it sadly.

He was trying to get to Varian.

Then i remembered.

"Ruddiger!" I got his attention.

"Look in my bag buddy, there should be something in there to melt these chains!" I said

I had made a compound a couple months ago that could melt any kind of metal.

He found it and poured it on the chains, causing them to melt.
