Preview- Eliza Potter: Harry Potters Sister 2

I was walking back to 4 Privet Drive after spending another day at the park and walking around. The sun was beginning to set rapidly and I knew Dudley would be getting home soon so I'd better be home before him. I was turning onto the street and knew I would make it home fine. I turned and went inside the perfect house of 4 Privet Drive. The living room had the TV playing as I closed the door behind me. I crept towards the stairs and then ran up them into Harry and my room.

Harry was sitting at our desk and staring at Evening Prophet again. I grabbed it from his hands and threw it on the ground.

"Eliza, I was reading that," he said as he turned the old chair towards me.

"You don't have to study every newspaper," I said concerned. It's true, every day since we had gotten back to the muggle world Harry would get two Daily Prophets the morning and evening and read them all day and night. When he would leave our room it would be to go outside for a few minutes after reading bad news or to stuff a piece of bread in his mouth.

He sighed. "Anyway, where have you been all day?" He asked me.

"At the park and walking around," I said as I walked over to my closet and pulled out some pajamas to get changed in to.

"I was worried about you-" he started like he did everyday.

"Don't be Harry-" I said seriously. I grabbed my hairbrush and toothbrush and left the room. I walked down the hallway into the bathroom and locked the door behind me as I slid down it onto the floor. I sighed deeply and rubbed my eyes. I was extremely tired, and had barely slept since we'd gotten back. Like Harry, I was always stressing but trying not to let it show, unlike Harry. Since we'd been back, I had matured greatly.

I slipped out of my sweaty tanktop and exercise shorts and into my summer pajama set that I had gotten one day after I'd gotten into a fight with my aunt and uncle and ran off. I walked all the way to the nearest mall and picked up a pajama set with the little money I had saved up. They were white shorts that had Tour turquoise hearts on them with a matching top. The top was a small crop top that matched the bottoms. I then put a cream colored pajama button down shirt on top but didn't button it. The weather was far to hot. I brushed my teeth and put my hair in two braids. Then I went back into our room. Harry was sitting on our bed reading a newspaper again. I grabbed it from him again.

"I know it's what makes you feel connected to the wizarding world but-" I started but my interrupted.

"Uh Liza, you know I hate it when you wear that thing," he said gesturing to my pajama shirt.

"Well so what you sleep shirtless," I said.

"That's different-" he said.

"So, Dumbledore said he'd be here tomorrow-" I said.

"If- he comes," said Harry. It's true we both doubted that he would come but Harry had told our Aunt and Uncle we'd be leaving anyway. Last week we had received a letter:

Dear Harry and Elizabeth,
If it is convenient to you, I shall call at number four, Privet Drive this coming Friday at eleven P.M. to escort you to the Burrow, where you have been invited to spend the remainder of your school holidays.
If you are agreeable, I should also be glad of your assistance in a matter to which I hope to attend on the way to the Burrow. I shall explain this more fully when I see you.
Kindly send your answer by return of this owl. Hoping to see you this Friday,
I am, yours most sincerely,
Albus Dumbledore

"Yes, now back to that last comment... It's not like it's the first time I've ever slept with a naked man-" I said.

"WHAT?!" Harry screamed as I laid down on the bed that was mine tonight.

"Goodnight," I said turning off out desk lamp.

"Eliza, you better be kidding," he said laying down.

A while later after I heard Harry sigh for about the sixth time I said.

"I don't know what Ellie did," Harry actually slapped me.

"Now, go to bed," I said turning to face the alarm clock next to the bed.

-------------------------------------------------------

The next morning, I spent extra long figuring out what to wear. I ended up choosing a white skater skirt with a pink tanktop that had a pretty pattern on the back. My hair was in a dutch braid. I packed up a few of my things but kept most out in case Dumbledore didn't end up coming... I don't want to have to unpack again. But I left all my school books in my funk and all that I don't pack was in one place.

"Harry-" I begged.

"No, I'll wait here," said Harry staring out the window of our bedroom.

"Harry, come on we can just walk around the park trail once and get outside," I said again.

"Okay... Fine I'll go with you," said Harry getting up from his seat at the window. It was only ten in the morning and Dumbledore said that he wouldn't be here till eleven at night and Harry wouldn't eat or sleep or move yet.

We walked out the door and to the park. We talked about a lot of things like how much we hated the Dursleys, Hogwarts, and getting to see everyone again if Dumbledore came. Then we were back. Harry ran right back up to our room but I walked slowly behind him and then sat down on our desk chair and Harry on our bed and we stared out the window for hours and hours until finally we were asleep.

I was suddenly shocked awake by Harry who was staring out the window.

"Dumbledores on the street," said Harry he scrambled around our room and threw his belongings into his school trunk roughly. I picked up the rest of my stuff and threw it in my trunk after seeing the street lamps of Privet Drive go out. Downstairs the doorbell rang.

"Who the ruddy hell is calling us at this time of night?" Said a disgruntled Uncle Vernon.

"Good evening, you must be Mr. Dursley, I dare say Harry or Eliza has told you I would be coming for them at this time," said Dumbledore. Harry suddenly sprinted out of our room and ran down the stairs almost three at a time. I ran after him quickly.

"Judging by the look of stunned disbelief on your face I guess Harry did not warn you of my coming," said Dumbledore. I was beside Harry staring at the scene in front of me in shock. Then I hit Harry hard in the ribs he hadn't told them that we'd be leaving.

"However, let us assume that you have welcomed me warmly into your house. It is unwise to linger long over doorsteps in these troubled times..." Said Dumbledore as he walked inside of the house.

"It's been long since my last visit, I must say you agapanthus are flourishing," said Dumbledore.

"Ah, Harry, Eliza... Excellent, Excellent," said Dumbledore.

"I don't mean to be rude-" said Uncle Vernon obviously disgusted that Dumbledore had called us excellent.

"-yes accidental rudeness sadly occurs very often," interjected Dumbledore. "Best to say nothing at all, ah this must be Petunia," he said as Aunt Petunia walked into the room.

"Albus Dumbledore... We have corresponded of course," he said after there were no introductions. I stood scratching my left wrist rapidly.

"And this must be your son, Dudley," said Dumbledore as a scared looking Dudley walked into the living room.

"Shall we assume that you have invited me into your sitting room?" Said Dumbledore. Harry and I followed after Dumbledore quickly. Dumbledore had sat down on the couch.

"Aren't- aren't we leaving sir?" Asked Harry anxiously.

"Yes, indeed we are, but there are a few matters we need to discuss first. And I would prefer not to do them in the open. We shall trespass upon your aunt and uncles hospitality a little longer," said Dumbledore.

Suddenly, the scar on my left wrist began to burn. I quickly withdrew my right hand from it and swallowed quickly.

"You will, will you?" Said my Uncle Vernon. I sighed.

"Yes, I shall," said Dumbledore. Suddenly Dumbledore withdrew his wand and the couch zoomed forward after he shad stood up from it and knocked all the Dursleys onto it. I surprised a laugh.

"We may as well be comfortable," said Dumbledore as he put his wand away. I looked at Harry who was staring at Dumbledores hand, I saw that it was black and shriveled.

"Sir- what happened to your-" asked Harry.

"Later Harry please sit down," he said.

Harry sat in the remaining armchair and Dumbledore conjured up another chair for me. I sat down and stared at the Dursleys who were stunned to silence.

"I would assume that you were going to offer me refreshments... But the evidence so far suggests that that would be optimistic to the point of foolishness," he again withdrew his wand and a old bottle appeared in the air along with six glasses. The bottle tipped and poured a maple looking liquid into each glass and the glasses went to each person.

"Thanks," I whispered taking my glass. I took a sip of the drink. It was a different flavor than anything I had ever had before.... But not in a bad way.

"Well Harry, a difficulty has arisen which I hope you will be able to solve for us- and by us I mean The Order Of Phoenix. A week ago Sirius's will was discovered, he left everything he owned to you and Eliza, Eliza- he left you a few things named to you specifically," said Dumbledore turning towards us. I nodded and bit my lip thinking about Sirius.

"Oh, right." Responded Harry.

"This is, in the main, straightforward, you add a reasonable amount of gold to your vault at Gringotts, and you inherit all of Sirius's personal possessions. The slightly problematic part of the legacy-"

"His grandfathers dead? His grandfather? Dead?" Asked uncle Vernon. "Why didn't I know about this?" He said, I grew mad at that last comment.

"You never asked-" I snarled.

"Eliza!" Dumbledore said looking at me.

"Sorry," I mumbled averting my eyes from him.

"Yes," said Dumbledore. He continued towards Harry mad me as if there had been no interruption. "The problem, is that Sirius also left you number twelve, Grimmuland Place," said Dumbledore.

"He's been left a house?" Said Uncle Vernon greedily. I glared at him before looking back to Dumbledore.

"You can keep using it as headquarters," said Harry at once. "I don't care. You can have it, I don't really want it," said Harry.

"That is generous, we have, however, vacated the building temporarily," said Dumbledore.

"Why?" Asked Harry.

"Well, Black family tradition decreed that the house was handed down to the next make with the last name Black. Sirius was the very last of the line as his younger brother, Regulus, predeceased him and was childless. While his will makes it perfectly plain that he wants you to have the house, it is nevertheless possible that some spell or enchantment has been set upon the place to ensure that it cannot be owned by anyone other than a pureblood," said Dumbledore.

"I bet there has," said Harry.

"Quite, and if such a enchantment exists then the ownership of the house is most likely to pass to the eldest of Sirius's living relatives, Bellatrix Lestrange,"

"Bellatrix?" I said angrily. Dumbledore nodded.

"No," said Harry angrily.

"Well, obviously we would prefer that she didn't get it either," started Dumbledore. "The situation is fraught with complications. We don't know wether the enchantments we ourselves have placed upon it, for example, making it unplottable, will hold now that the ownership has passed from Sirius's hands. It might be that Bellatrix will arrive on the doorstep at any moment. Naturally we had to move out until such a time as we clarified the position," said Dumbledore grimly.

"But how are we going to find out if I'm allowed to own it?" Asked Harry.

"Fortunately, there is a simple test," said Dumbledore.

"You see if you have indeed inherited the house, you have also inherited-" he flicked his wand and the house elf Kreacher popped into sight.

"Kreacher," said Dumbledore.
"Kreacher won't, Kreacher won't, Kreacher won't!" Croaked the house elf. I looked over at Harry who was staring at the house elf.

"Kreacher belongs to miss Bellatrix, oh yes, Kreacher belongs to Blacks, Kreacher wants his new mistress, Kreacher won't go to potter brat, Kreacher won't, won't, won't-" said Kreacher.

"Miss Bellatrix?" I said in disbelief.

"As you can see Kreacher is showing some reluctance to pass into your ownership," said Dumbeldroe gesturing to the house elf.

"I don't care, I don't want him," said Harry staring at the angry elf.

"You would prefer him to pass into ownership of Bellatrix Lestrange after he had lived in headquarters of the Order Of Pheonix for the past year?" Said Dumbledore.

"That woman-" I started but Dumbledore shushed me.

"Give him a order, if he is passed into your ownership he will have to obey, if not, then we hall have to think of other ways of keeping him from his rightful mistress," said Dumbledore.

"Won't, Won't, won't," screamed Kreacher. The Dursleys were in shock staring at the house elf.

"Kreacher, shut up!" Harry said. Kreacher shut up but started beating his fists in the carpet angrily.

"Well, that simplifies matters, it seems like Sirius knew what he was doing. Harry, you are the rightful owner of number 12 Grimmuland Place and Kreacher," said Dumbledore cheerfully.

"Do I- do I have to keep him with me?" Harry asked Dumbledore wearily looking at the elf having a silent tantrum in front of him.

"Not if you don't want to. If I might make a suggestion, you could send him to Hogwarts and work in the kitchen with other house elves," said Dumbledore.

"Yeah, I'll do that. Kreacher I want you to go to Hogwarts and work in the kitchens there with the other house elves," said Harry. Kreacher gave Harry a loathing look and then with a loud crack left.

"Good, there is also the issue of the hippogriff, Buckbeak. Hagrid has been looking after him since Sirius died, but Buckbeak is yours now, so if you would prefer to make different arrangements-"

"No, he can stay with Hagrid. I think Buckbeak would prefer that," said Harry.

"Hagrid will be delighted," said Dumbledore smiling. "He was thrilled to see Buckbeak again. Incidentally, we have decided, in the interest of Buckbeaks safety, to call him Witherwings. We don't think the Ministry would be to happy to find a Hippogriff they once sentenced to death with Hagrid. Now Are your trunks packed?" Asked Dumbledore with a grin towards Harry. I nodded and turned towards Harry.

"Erm.." Started Harry.
"Doubtful that I would turn up?" Said Dumbledore.
"I'll just go finish it off-" said Harry running up the stairs. I ran after him.

"Harry, I thought I told you to get packed-" I said as I threw the last of my things into my trunk and closed it then started to gather up Harry's. We finished in about seven minutes, now, we went down the stairs with our trunks and Hedwigs.

"We have to go back inside?" I said wearily looking out the door.

We entered the living room and the atmosphere was very thick. Dumbledore was humming merrily to himself. I nudged Harry in the ribs he took the signal.

"Professor- we're ready now," he said. I noticed neither of us were looking at the Dursleys.

"Good, just one last thing," he said turning towards the Dursleys.

"Oh, no," I whispered to Harry. Dumbledore laughed a little at me.

"As you will not be aware, Harry will come of age in a year-" said Dumbledore.

"No," said Aunt Petunia.

"I'm sorry?" Asked Dumbledore politely.

"No he doesn't he's a month younger than Dudley, and Dudders doesn't turn eighteen till the year after next," she said.

"Ah, but in the wizard world we come of age at seventeen," said Dumbledore. I laughed a bit, this time it was Harry that nudged me and shushed me instead of Dumbledore.

"Now, as you already know, the wizard called Lord Voldemort has returned to this country. The wizarding community is currently in a state of open warfare. Harry, whom Lord Voldemort has already attempted to kill a number of times, is in even greater danger now than the day when I left him on your doorstep fifteen years ago with Eliza and a letter explaining about his parents murder and expressing the hope that you would care for these children as if they were your own-" said Dumbledore.

"Wait, so is Elizabeth just normal than?" Uncle Vernon said not looking at me.

"No, she is actually the only person Lord Voldemort ever cared about but in a different life," said Dumbledore.

"Professor!" I said quietly but sternly. He did not look at me but held up a finger to me. I quieted at once.

"You did not do as I asked. You have never treated Harry or Eliza as your own. Harry and Eliza have known nothing but neglect and often cruelty at your hands. The best that can be said is that they have at least escaped the appalling damage you have inflicted upon the boy sitting between you-" said Dumbledore.

"Us- mistreat Dudders-" said Uncle Vernon.

"The magic I evoked fifteen years ago means that Harry has powerful protection while he can still call this house 'home'. However miserable as he had been here, however unwelcome, however badly treated, you have at least, grudgingly, allowed him and Eliza houseroom. This magic will cease to operate the moment that Harry turns seventeen, in other words, at the moment he becomes a man. I only ask this: that you allow Harry to return once more, to this house, before his seventeenth birthday which will ensure that the protection continues until that time," Dumbledore said. The Dursleys said nothing.

"As for Elizabeth here, we have some things that need discussing about her but if she is to need to stay with you I ask you allow her to," said Dumbledore.

"Now, Potters... I believe we must be off," said Dumbledore send with a sweep of his cloak we walked out the front door.

"Bye," said Harry hastily to the Dursleys. I said nothing and just followed. Dumbledore had put the lights back into the street lamps.

"Harry, we do not want to be encumbered now. I ask that you bring your invisibility cloak with Eliza. Just in case..." Said Dumbledore hastily. Our trunks and Hedwig disappeared. They were inevitable at the Burrow.

"And now, let us step into the night and pursue that flighty, temptress, adventure," said Dumbledore.
