Chapter 3: A Dream And Departure
I sat in the Hogwarts library as a piece of paper floated towards me. I looked around before I quickly grabbed it and opened it.
Ellie
Come meet me at the usual spot.
Tom
Why? I knew better than to keep him waiting though so I kept my book and before I even got halfway out of the library I was stopped by a boy with blond hair.
"Tom wants you now Ellie... Best not keep him waiting,"
"I'm on my way," I mumbled as I walked past the boy.
Walking down the maze of corridors was pure torture. It gave me way to much time to think. Thinking was not good for me... I was told that all to often.
I walked into the girls bathroom quickly and saw Tom was already there.
"Ahh you came so fast. How nice of you," he said.
My insides burned with anger.
"Tsk tsk my dear Ellie you mustn't lose your temper with me now," he said as his eyes flashed red. It made me nervous.
A though popped into my head. I thought to myself while looking at Tom in front of me. "Do you know how to read minds?"
"Yes," he said as his eyes glinted red again.
"You see Ellie my pet, some of my... Followers were beginning to have second thoughts and didn't want to follow anymore and I had to know who so now I do...and I took care of them," he said calmly.
"What did you do to them exactly Tom?" I asked, my teeth gritted.
"Just erased their minds of my plans. Now do you see why I grasp you so dearly? You can't fight me back," he stated with, sick grin on his face.
" I could and I would Tom," I said cooly.
"No, no, no learn to hold thy tongue pet," my whole body shivered as I heard him correct me. I knew something bad was to come.
"Silencio" said Tom with a flick of his wand. I knew I was muted. I walked over to the wall of the bathroom and slid down on it.
"See precious-" he said as he knelt in front of me and moved a piece of my hair away from me. I slapped his hand away and turned away. I knew I would pay for that bitterly.
"I've lost my patience with you today Ellie. Crucio"
Pain consumed my body.
----------------------------------------------
I leaned my head up swiftly and opened my eyes. I could see everyone, Harry and my rescue squad staring down on me. I was drenched in a cold sweat. I had had another of those weird dreams about Tom Marvalo Riddle. Lupin looked down at me nervously and brushed a piece of hair from my eyes. I tried to move away for a moment but he was kind so I didn't.
"What happened to you?" Asked Lupin.
"Nothing... It was just a bad dream" I responded.
"And what we this 'dream' about, Elizabeth?" Asked moody.
I thought of a bad lie in the spot.
"Um- Harry- he got expelled from Hogwarts,"
"Then why were you saying:
No Tom, I could stop it if I wanted to,
You can read minds, And no Tom don't please don't not again and screaming and thrashing like you were under a curse,"
I looked at each of their worried faces and slowly got to my feet ignoring the fact that I was drenched in sweat and shaking uncontrollably.
"Elizabeth, you can't hide whatever you're trying to hide forever," said Tonks and I noticed that Harry was stand in front of me.
"The signal," I stated. I could just tell it was time. We all took off on our brooms and flew and flew for what's seemed like hours over the city streets of London. Then finally we were told to land. I calmly did so.
We had landed on a old London Street full of red brick houses.
Suddenly right between 11 and 13 the houses moved and appeared a house numbered with a golden 12.
"This is headquarters," Moody explained as we entered.
It was dark and when we first saw Mrs. Weasley. The house smelled of dust and had a after hint of cleaning supplies. As if someone had been trying to scrub away years of dust but wasn't doing to well.
"Oh dears, you must be so hungry. I'm afraid it will have to wait til after the meeting, here, go upstairs. Ron and Hermione are waiting for you both," she hugged us together. Harry and I looked at each other before started to climb a flight of rickety stairs.
When we reached the top I saw a room and in it were Ron and Hermione sitting on a bed. Ron literally ran at Harry.
"Harry! Dementors really in Surrey?"
"Hello, Eliza" Hermione said as she hugged me. She let go and hugged Harry as I said hello to Ron.
After Hermione had explained how they couldn't expell Harry I sat on a bed awkwardly. They were the golden trio and I was interfering on their reunion. But they didn't seem to mind. Harry exploded on them about them not writing and all and then they explained how Dumbledore made them swear they wouldn't say anything. Once he had calmed down he sat down next to me and Hermione and Ron sat in the bed opposite of us. I realized that they had whispered about something and was now aware how they were all staring at me.
"Hello," I said awkwardly.
"What happened, Eliza?" Asked Harry turning towards me.
"Nothing," I replied, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Don't play this game with me, Elizabeth. What happened?" he asked again.
"I already told you I dreamed you got expelled," I said getting a little frustrated.
I was saved by a sort of cracking noise in the room. Fred and George Weasley were suddenly standing in the room. I lightly smiled towards them.
"Wanna see what that meetings about?" Fred asked mischievously.
----------------------------------------------
About ten minutes later we were all gathered around the top of the stairs, eavesdropping trough a pair of extendable ears, one of the twins many inventions.
"No, we can't tell him," said Mrs. Weasley
"No...." Said Professor Snape
"Snapes in the Order?" I asked feeling confused. Ron nodded silently.
We didn't here much more until the sound of footsteps coming towards the stairs.
Fred and George glanced at us and then bolted towards a door and went inside the room behind it. As did Ginny who had appeared shortly after we had started listening. I followed Hermione, Ron, and Harry into the room we had sat in earlier while Harry talked with them. Footsteps were at the bottom of the stairs.
"Dinner," called Mrs. Weasley.
We all filed out of our rooms and down the stairs.
"Remember to keep your voices down in the hall,"
"Why?" Asked Harry as we passed a blanket covering something on the wall. It dropped quickly. A old-looking portrait was revealed and behind it was a screaming woman,
"Mudbloods, half-breeds, sons of filth, insults of my fathers,"
I backed away slowly as she shrieked those awful words at the top of her lungs.
"I see you've met my mother," said a formulae voice as they covered back up the portrait.
"Sirius!" I screamed as I hugged Harry's godfather.
"Hello, Elizabeth," he said happily.
"Harry," he waved.
"Do you know anything that's going on?" I quickly asked.
"Let's not talk about that right now, dear," although I hated hearing that again, I was over joyed to see Sirius so I didn't really mind.
While I talked to Sirius briefly a old batty house elf managed to appear behind Harry.
"What would my mistress say if she knew who was living in her house?" He murmured glaring at me.
"Be quiet Kreacher and go back to the attic," ordered Sirius.
The elf whispered to himself some more and walked back up the stairs glaring at Sirius.
We walked down the rest of the stairs and into the kitchen. I instantly saw Mrs. Weasley fussing over the table.
"These things have to be cleared away right after the meetings," she said as she moved around some papers.
"Harry," I whispered. "Where are we?"
Harry looked at me before asking Sirius.
"Oh, hasn't anyone told you? My parents old house. I'm the last Black left to its mine now. I offered it as headquarters for the Order Of Pheonix to Dumbledore... It's the most useful thing I could do," he said kind of bitterly.
Harry nodded slightly.
"Sit down everyone. I trust you met most of the people here Harry dear,"
"And if you want dinner before midnight I'll need some help," Mrs Weasley said as she fussed around.
"How can I help?" Asked Tonks happily.
"Oh-" started Mrs. Weasley looking nervous. "It's all right dear you've done enough today,"
"No, I want to help," said Tonks as she made her way towards a cupboard where Ginny was picking up forks, she knocked over a chair.
"How's your summer been so far?" Asked Sirius towards Harry.
Harry glanced at me then said "Pretty lousy,"
I just stared at vegetables that were stirring themselves in a cauldron over a fire that seemed to be the only source of light in the dim kitchen.
"Don't see what your complaining about myself. At least you can still get out... stretch your legs, I would have welcomed a dementor attack personally,"
"Why can't you?" Asked Harry as I tried to help Mrs. Weasley but she pushed me back down into my chair.
"Ministry is still after me, Voldemort will know about me being a animagus because of Wormtail. There's not much I can do for the Order... or so Dumbledore thinks," said Sirius.
"FRED, GEORGE JUST CARRY THEM. UGH! JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN USE MAGIC OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL NOW, DOESN'T MEAN YOU NEED TO WHIP YOUR WANDS OUT FOR EVERYTHING!" Bellowed Mrs. Weasley.
"Let's eat," said Bill coming into the kitchen.
"Hello, Bill," I responded.
"It looks wonderful, Molly," complimented Lupin as he put some of the vegetable stew onto plates for everyone.
It was silent for quite a while afterwards but then a small conversation started.
"I think there's a Boggart in the desk drawer upstairs but I think we should ask Alastor just in case to check. The curtains are full of doxies to, we can get them together,"
"I look forward to it," said Sirius sarcastically.
Across the table, Tonks kept changing her nose for Ginny and Hermione.
I tried to listen to what Mr. Weasley, Bill, and Lupin were talking now about. It was difficult, but not impossible.
"They're not giving away wether they believe he's back or not yet," whispered Bill.
"Yes those Goblins don't like telling us wizards anything or taking sides,"
We ate rhubarb crumble and once we were done the full crumble Mrs Weasley yawned.
"Nearly time for bed I think," she said.
"Not yet, Molly. You know I'm surprised at you Harry, I thought the first thing you would do when you get here was ask about Voldemort," said Sirius.
"I did," Harry defended. I buried my head in my hands. "But Ron and Hermione said that they weren't allowed in the Order-"
"They're quite right, you're to young," said Mrs. Weasley seriously.
"Since when could people not in the Order not be able to ask questions? Harry and Elizabeth have been trapped in them at muggle house for a month they have the right to ask questions-" defended Sirius.
"How come Harry gets to ask questions? We've been trying to get information out of you for a month and you've told us nothing!" Said Fred gesturing to the rest of the kids at the table.
"Harry's not even of age," said George angrily. I shifted uncomfortably in my chair.
"It's not my fault you don't know anything about the Order, that's your parents decision. Now, Harry on the other hand-" said Sirius he shook his head towards me and I sighed angrily. Apparently no one picked up on it.
"It's not up to you to decide what's best for Harry. You haven't forgotten what Dumbledore said, I suppose?" Said Mrs. Weasley angrily.
"Which bit?" Asked Harry being oddly sweet.
"The bit about not telling Harry more than he needs to know," said Mrs. Weasley hinting at something.
"I don't intend to tell him more than he needs to know Molly but, he was the one who saw Voldemort come back he has a right to know-"
"He's not a member of the Order Of Pheonix. He's only 15 and-" shouted Mrs. Weasley.
"And he's dealt with much more than most the members of the order-"
"There's no denying what he's done! But he's still-"
"He's not a child!"
"He's not a adult either" she said her face red and voice shaking with anger. "He's not James, Sirius!"
"I know perfectly well who he is thanks Molly,"
"I'm not sure you are! Sometimes you act as if you've got you friend back," stated Mrs. Weasley.
"What's wrong with that?" Asked Harry obviously trying to play it cool.
"What's wrong with that, Harry, is that you are not your father no matter how much you look like him. You are still at school and adults responsible for you should not forget it!" Said Mrs. Weasley addressing Harry but staring at Sirius.
"Meaning I'm a irresponsible godfather?" Asked Sirius angrily.
"Meaning you've been known to act rashly, Sirius, which is why Dumbledore keeps reminding you to stay at home and-"
"We will leave my instructions from Dumbledore out of this if you please-" said Sirius.
"Arthur!" Said Mrs Weasley running on her husband angrily. "Back me up!" She whispered.
"Dumbledore knows the position has changed Molly, now that Harry is at headquarters he's going to need to know certain things-"
"Yes, certain things but not open to ask whatever he likes-"
"Personally, I think it's better if Harry get the facts from us- not a bunch of gambled facts from... others" said Lupin not daring to look her in the eyes
"Seeing as I'm over ruled I'll say this: Dumbledore must of had his reasons for not wanting Harry to not know to much," said Mrs. Weasley looking around the table.
"I think Harry should have a say in this he's old enough to decide for himself," said Lupin.
"I want to know what's going on-" said Harry. I instantly grew excited. After all this time we would all now what was happening with You-know-who.
"Very well- Ginny, Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, Elizabeth- I want you out of the kitchen, now" said Mrs. Weasley her voice cracking a bit.
There was a uproar. I looking at Harry but he didn't look me in the eye-then at Sirius. He nodded and then when he saw me start getting mad he mouthed "Just listen to her Eliza"
I sighed and stayed seated staring at Mrs. Weasley.
"You have to let Fred and George, Molly they're of age," said Mr. Weasley tiredly.
"Fine, Ron-"
"Harry will tell me and Hermione everything anyway... Won't you Harry?" Said Ron instantly.
"Of course I will!" Said Harry. Hermione and Ron beamed brightly.
"Fine-" shouted Mrs. Weasley. "Fine, Ginny and Elizabeth bed-"
"BUT-" began Ginny.
"Ginerva, do not fight me. Bed!" I stared down.
Ginny walked out the door followed by Mrs. Weasley who gestured for me to follow her and started out the door. I quickly looked from Lupin to Sirius to Harry who all averted their eyes from me. I sighed and got up from the table but as I turned from the table towards the door Sirius grabbed my arm,
"I'm sorry Elizabeth, but you are young,"
"A year younger than Harry!" I shouted angrily.
"And that year makes all the difference. Elizabeth go follow Ginny, I believe your sharing a room with her and Hermione," said Lupin. I sighed, broke free of Sirius's grasp, and started up the stairs where I heard many things being shouted including Sirius's mothers portrait. I ran up the stairs to catch up.
"Ginerva stop it you causing such a fuss and you're to young," said Mrs. Weasley.
"Why does Ron get to hear he's only a year older than me?" She shouted.
"Bed- Ginny- now!" And Mrs Weasley pointed into a dark room. Ginny marched in and I followed a few seconds after. Molly Weasley was breathing deeply. Once we were inside Mrs. Weasley locked the door.
" I don't want to hear the creak of a floor board from up hear you two," then we heard footsteps go down the stairs.
"Why can't we listen to everyone else gets to?" Said Ginny flopping down into a bed. I went on the one next to her.
"Maybe Hermione will tell us," I said.
"I doubt she will on her own... but maybe all of them together... You look tired Eliza, go to bed I'll wait up till they come back and see if I can find out what was said,"
I barely heard the last part before I was drifting into a sleep.

Hey guys,
Quick note, do you like the characters and how I'm portraying them? I'm curious... By the way a lot of some of the past few chapters dialogue was from Harry Potter And The Order Of Pheonix but it won't be like that always. In fact it won't be like that a lot. I hope you enjoy this story. But anyway please comment any suggestions!
Love you,
