"Go meet Luna-" I said as I left Harry where he was supposed to meet Luna. I walked towards Slughorns classroom and as I got closer I could hear loud music, conversations, and lots of laughter. I did not want to get to this party and since I was going to it alone I dreaded it even more.

I took a deep breath and entered Slughorns office. It looked very large and had emerald, Crimson, and gold hangings around it. There were loud voices singing accompanied by mandolins. Many house sofa squeaked their way across the floor of the room Carrie trays of food.

I walked in and hoped to just sneak into the room not noticed. But of course that failed and right as I entered someone screamed. "Ah, Elizabeth their are some people over here I would like you to meet-" and I was being ushered towards a ground of men smoking pipes.

"Um, hello," I said stiffly waving my arm at the grown men who Slughorn had led me to.

"Elizabeth here are men who work for the ministry of magic," I nodded and tried to look impressed but I instantly hated them.

"Horace, is this Elizabeth Potter?" Asked a large round man.

"Yes, yes it is. One of my best potions students I've seen since her mother, but if course she takes after Lily," he said happily before leaving me alone with these people.

"So, Elizabeth is it true that you were at the ministry last year when... You-know-who appeared with his death eaters?" Asked one man. I didn't expect this and stuttered out some random words.

"Um- I... Don't like to talk-about it," I stammered.

"Oh, well why didn't you originally tell people you were Harrys brother?" Asked another man.

"I- safety reasons. I ... Have to go-" I said gesturing to the other side of the room.

"Oh, so soon. It's a shame. Well, make sure to talk to us later when you are less busy," said the third and final man. I quickly walked over towards the glass punch bowl that smoked over the sides of it. I put some into a glass and drank it... Mead. I didn't drink alcohol often but I considered now was a good time to so I drank it slowly as I made my way across the room. As I walked near the wall of them room I was pulled behind a curtain by a strong hand.

"What?" I said as I regained my balance.

"Sorry," said Hermione. I noticed that Harry and Hermione were both behind the curtain.

"Enjoying the party?" I asked.

"I've only just escaped Mclaggen," said Hermione.

"What happened?" I asked.

"He tried to kiss me under the mistletoe-" Hermione explained.

"Oh, dear," I said calmly.

"We'd better get out from back here soon- people will be looking for us," Harry said quickly. I drained the rest of my cup quickly and then nodded.

"I've only just left Ministry of Magic employees who questioned me," I said.

"Let's go," said Hermione with a deep breath.

"Oh, there you are," said Luna.

"Luna! You look... Great," I said. Luna wore a metallic pink dress that reminded me of cupcake tins.

"Thank you Elizabeth!" We made our way across the room and as we did so we all got cups of mead from some house elves who Hermione thanked many times as doc Luna and myself.

"Oh, hello Professor," said Luna politely to Prfoessor Trewlaney.

At the end of the conversation in which Professor Trewlaney complained about Firenze and sharing classes with him Hermione sighed.

"Oh, no here he comes-" and she quickly ran away from us and disappeared into the crowded room.

Slughorn appeared and Luna disappeared.

"God.." I whispered to Harry.

"What?" Asked Slughorn.

"Good to see you again, Professor," I said that playing it off. He smiled and then he and professor Trewlaney talked about Harry and my talents at Potions.

"-stop sulking and come over and join us Severus!" Said Slughorn with his arm outstretched and to my horror Severus Snape appeared. I sighed deeply and glanced at Harry who faint react.

"Funny, I never had the feeling that I managed to teach Mr. Potter anything at all," said Snape staring at Harry. I was mad that he was making drum of Harry but happy he didn't look at me as I probably would have killed him.

"Well, then it's a natural ability-" said Slughorn looking at Harry and me. I smiled weakly for a few seconds and drank more mead. "It must run in the family. These two-" he said gesturing to us. "The first lesson, this one," he gestured to Harry. "Draught of living death- never had a student produce finer first try- I don't think even you, Severus-" he continued. Snape looked mischievous and I bit my lip slightly.

"Really?" Asked Snape quietly.

"Remind me Potters what other subjects your taking?" Said Slughorn.

"Defense against the dark arts, charms, transfiguration, herbology-" Harry rattled off.

"All subjects, in short, to become a auror," sneered Snape.

"Yeah, well that's what I'd like to do-" said Harry confidently.

"And a great one you'll make to!" Slughorn boomed.

"And what about you?" Asked Slughorn to me.

"Oh, Defense against the dark arts, Herbology, transfiguration, charms, divination, care for magical creatures, astronomy, and potions," I said calmly.

"Yes, and from what I understand your having problems in Defense against the dark arts?" Said Snape.

"Yes, well who's fault is that-" I said back.

"Well if you didn't act up-" Snape sneered.

"Act up?" I screamed. But as I did their was a quieting in the room and I saw to my right Draco Malfoy being dragged by Filch into the party by Filch.

He had tried to get into the party and wasn't invited but Slughorn said that it would be alright as it was a party. I was cracking up into my drink. But I stopped as I looked at Draco. He looked slightly sick, he had bags under his eyes and his skin looked grayish. Harry had apparently noticed this to as he was staring at Draco as I went to talk to him though I was pushed aside by Snape.

"If you would sir, I'd like a word with Draco," said Snape cooly to Slughorn.

They walked off and Draco looked extent angry.

"I have to um- bathroom Liza," stammered Harry.

"You think I'll fall for that Harry? Your going to see what he's saying. I'm coming to, let's go-" I said staring after them.

"Fine, get under," he put his invisibility cloak over himself and me and then we went into the dark deserted corridor.

"Where are they?" Harry whispered as we walked from doe to door in the hall listening for any sound.

"Down there-" I said pointing to the last door.

"How do you know?" Asked Harry.

"Oh, just go!" I said and we quietly ran to the hall and listened at the door.

"-can't afford mistakes Draco-" said Snape.

"I didn't have anything to do with it, alright?" Said Draco angrily.

"I hope your telling the truth because if not it was both clumsy and foolish!" Snape said sternly. "You are already expected in having a hand in it!"

"What? Who expects me?" Draco said. "Don't look at me like that. I know what your doing- I can stop you-"

"Aha.. Aunt Bellatrix had been teaching you Occlumecy, I see. What thoughts are you trying to conceal from your master, Draco?" Asked Snape.

"I'm not trying to conceal anything from him. I just don't want you butting in,"

I couldn't hear for a while. A pain pressed in my left wrist.

"I am trying to help you. I swore to your mother I would protect you. I made the Unbreakable Vow, Draco —"

"Looks like you'll have to break it, then, because I don't need your protection! It's my job, he gave it to me and I'm doing it, I've got a plan and it's going to work, it's just taking a bit longer than I thought it would!"

"What is your plan?" Asked Snape.

"It's none of your business!"

"If you tell me what you are trying to do, I can assist you —"

"I've got all the assistance I need, thanks, I'm not alone!"

"You were certainly alone tonight, which was foolish in the extreme, wandering the corridors without lookouts or backup, these are elementary mistakes —"

"I would've had Crabbe and Goyle with me if you hadn't put them in detention!"

"Keep your voice down!" Snape spat as o fell forward and all went dark.

I was being helped up.

"Wha-" I whispered.

"Sh-" shushed Harry as me and he half me against a wall. We were outside of the classroom still and the door was flung open. From it stepped Draco Malfoy followed closely by Snape.

"I'm watching you-" whispered Draco looking over his shoulder towards me and Harry but we were concealed. I gasped as Harry pushed me up farther on the wall.

They both left and then Harry and I left the hall and entered the party again.

"Are you okay?" Asked Harry as we entered the party.

"I'm fine," I said and I left before I bumped into a server.

"I'm so sorry-" I stammered as I picked up a silver tray from the ground.

"It's fine, sorry," said a familiar voice.

"Neville?" I asked as I straightened up.

"Yeah, I'm seeing for some extra money," explained Neville.

"Cool... Neville why have you been ignoring me?" I asked.

"Well, it's just that..." He trailed off nervously. I suddenly flung my arms around his neck and kissed Neville full on the mouth.

It shocked myself to be honest with you...
