BELINDA and CONNER stand in the shop and watch as items fall from the shelves. Conner spots a sword hanging on a wall. He grabs it and runs outside screaming towards the worm god. Belinda doesn't pay attention as she's frozen in disbelief.

WORM GOD V.O. CONT'D: The law is our enemy.

EXT. FOREST – EVENING

A tree branch falls and JORDANIA pushes MIN out of harm's way. She hugs them protectively and they hug back with their eyes shut tight. The stomping of the deity intensifies.

WORM GOD V.O. CONT'D: I am true chaos. The one pure answer in this universe.

QUIET MYSTIC's breathing is ragged, and she struggles to move.

WORM GOD V.O. CONT'D: A sea of endless madness, constantly shifting. Nothing can be permanent.

HARRIET does yoga poses with her eyes closed and looks up at the red sky after the shaking makes her fall onto her feet. The goats around her bleat noisily.

HARRIET CONT'D: This doesn't seem to be a good day doing goat yoga.

WORM GOD V.O.: No rules to tie us down.

INT. THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY – EVENING

RANDI rocks back and forth in panic in a small corner.

RANDI CONT'D: This isn't happening, this isn't happening.

WORM GOD V.O. CONT'D: No end in sight.

INT. "THE ROLLING PIN" BAKERY – EVENING

DARCY has his face pressed to the window and stares at the sky in fear.

WORM GOD V.O. CONT'D: This is the only path forward.

LUCY and ERLE look outside to see the chaos. Lucy begins to cry hysterically, and Erle tries to comfort her. She clings onto him and he puts a hand on her face. She calms down slightly as they look into each other's eyes and they kiss. They break the kiss so that they could hold each other in comfort.

NANCY pets a crow in the cage, and she releases it. A large flock of crows soars in the sky and the released crow joins them. VANESSA watches the scene and throws the codex onto the ground with anger.

ISABEL and DAMON ROSENBURG are on the train and it speeds away. GINA watches the train with sorrow.

GOAT MAN sits in a throne made from goat bones and sips from a goblet. He has a frown.

The worm god towers over the floating island and it rocks back and forth slowly as parts of the island falls off.

WORM GOD V.O. CONT'D: This is where all things belong.

Ground perspective of the god. It rises to become larger and larger.

The worm god quickly dives towards the camera with a large open mouth.
