Chapter 6- Better than the Tin Man

*Your POV*

*Flashback*

You walk down the street looking at Missy beside you. You are both stepping in an identical rhythm and swinging your arms at the exact same angle. As you turn the corner you see the SHIELD building in front of you and you sigh. You turn invisible and walk silently behind Missy. While she flirts with one of the guards, you quietly grab his ID badge and put it in your pocket. You tap her back and she waves goodbye. You turn into an alleyway and become visible again. You hand Missy the badge and watch as she shifts her features to look like him. "Sorry Stan, but I'm going to need to borrow face for a tick." You laugh and adjust your dress. You walk over to Stan and ask for directions to a nearby art gallery to distract him while Missy walks past. Once Missy is inside and talking to the receptionist you jab Stan in the neck with a sleep agent and dump him in the alleyway. (My version of a Stan Lee cameo) You tap your earpiece. "Camelion, do you require assistance?" You waited for Missy to reply but there was only silence. "Shit." You turn invisible and run into the building to see a pile of dead bodies around Missy. You become visible and walk over to her. She just shrugs and puts her gun in her belt and puts her face back to normal. "oh, yeah I kinda got found out. My voice was a little too high." You shake your head and run over to the computers. You pull out the flash drive and see someone hiding beneath a desk. You pull out your gun and shoot them in the head. You and Missy walk out and get into a black car.

Mission complete.

*3rd Person POV*

You shake your head as you wake, trying to get rid of the memories. You killed that innocent man. You take a few deep breaths then get up to get changed. You walk over to your closet and see a small package sitting on the side of the shelf. You take it out and place it on your desk. You pull the brown string, releasing the brown paper and revealing your necklace. You smile and put it on immediately. You run your fingers over the smooth rose gold ridges before popping the locket open. You look at the face of your sister staring back at you. You see a small white card laying on the ground.

Y/N

Here is your necklace. I hope you accept this as my apology for the soldier state business.

Thank you,

Bruce Banner

You wipe a tear from your eye and stand up. It was time to get on with your day.

You take the same route for your run as you did the day before, and once again see the music store. You cross the road and look through the window. The violin was held up on a black stand, with the brown leather and red silk case laying beneath it. You sigh and turn to look around only to see Steve running towards you. You shake your head and start off again in a quick jog. Steve speeds up, trying to reach you, but stops at the store. He looks at the small store confused, and tries to run after you, but is too slow.

You only look behind you once you reach the tower. Satisfied that Steve was left to bite your dust, you go inside. You look around, but everyone seems to be missing. You look in the training room but see that no one is there either. You walk in and look around. There was your standard gym equipment, like a treadmill, punching bags, a boxing ring, etc., but there was also a shooting range, weapons wall, and simulation room. You walk over to the weapons wall and pick out a small collection of throwing knives and a dagger. You flip it absent-mindedly while walking over to the simulation room.

You press the medium level and see holograms coming towards you. You start fighting them, hand to hand, with knives, long-distance shots as well. You go invisible to help you evade their attacks. You keep leveling up and you are in the simulation of hours. You decide that you've trained enough and you grab your water bottle and walk out. As soon as you step out of the door you see all of the avengers standing by a wall. You walk over and stand behind them to see what they're watching, but just see a window into an empty room. It clicks and you give a loud cough. They all jump a bit and turn to look at you. "Watching me train, were you?" They all mumble no and shake their head except for Thor who steps forward. "Yes, we were. You are very talented you know. I don't think even Tony has done that well. Good job Midguardian." He smiles and gives you a thumbs up. You curl your lips inwards and give him a thumbs-up back then turn and leave. You hear Tony slap Thor's arm. "What the hell dude?! You can't tell her that!" You chuckle and walk to your room with a small skip in your step.

*Nat POV*

We all watch as she walks down the hall. Tony turns to Thor and hits his bicep. "What the hell dude?! You can't tell her that!" I can hear Y/N snicker as she turns the corner. "What, can't let her know she's better than you at something?" It seems that Tony doesn't appreciate my comments. "You know, skills like that deserve to be on the team." Bucky looks at Sam. "One, I hate to agree with you but yes. Two, you're stupid." Sam looks back at Bucky. "What's with number two? That has nothing to do with this situation?!" Bucky smiles. "No, but I really wanted to say it." Tony makes his head with his hand. "Look, tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber, those skills are exactly why she is a threat, not an opportunity!" I look at Tony with pure disgust. "Just because she's good doesn't automatically make her a threat!" Steve nods. "Tony, she deserves a spot on this team. You just saw what she can do. Do you really want that against us? Or do you think that maybe we should get her onto our side?" I look at Wanda with a smile. I love it when she out logics Tony, or when anyone out logics Tony. He sighs. "Fine. But if she betrays us, I want it in writing that I am always right and you will never doubt me again." I laugh and walk away. What a dumbass. A rich, sometimes helpful dumbass,

A/N

Hey, I know that it was a pretty short chapter, I couldn't really think of anything to add in the moment. Sorry about it!
