Chapter 5- Gods and Ants

*Tony's POV*

Normally, training sucks, but it sucked a little extra today because everyone was distracted. We almost got beaten by an easy simulation because everyone kept zoning out. If Bucky had just not looked at the girl on the street we would be fine! I look around and shut down the simulation. Steve looks at me raising an eyebrow and I step forward.

"Look, clearly all of you are thinking about Y/N and not the training, so we won't get anything out of this until we talk about it." Everyone looks at each other, and then the floor.

"Tony is right, and you know I hate saying that." I nod towards Bucky, only slightly offended.

"Okay, so this girl, can we trust her? I mean, she worked with HYDRA. She's a trained assassin! That can't be a good thing." Everyone looked at Banner. "What about me and Bucky? I'm a trained assassin. Bucky worked with HYDRA, and here we are." Everyone looked at Nat and Wanda nodded. "That's true Nat, but I agree with Banner, she can't be trusted." Clint nodded his head as I spoke. Nat glared at him.

"Look, she came back this morning. She went for a run, and she came back! Why would she come back if she didn't trust us?" I looked at Nat. "Maybe she's still with HYDRA, and that's why she came back. She could be a spy!" Wanda looked at me. "Don't be stupid Tony, I saw her base being destroyed. I saw her being tortured by HYDRA, and I know she remembers it too. I don't think she would still be working with them knowing what they did to her." Bucky nods and points at Wanda. "Wanda's right. You don't just side with the people who torture you."

Steve walked over to Bucky. "Look, Buck, I know that you turned out good, but we know nothing about her! We should wait before we do anything major." Nat scoffs and looks at Steve. "Trust is a two-way street. I'll trust her when she starts to trust us." Nat turns to me looking like I said something wrong. Wanda, Nat, and Bucky storm out of the gym, and Peter walks in. "Sorry, I had biology homework, what did I miss?"

*Your POV*

You pace around your room. Are you allowed to leave? You have no idea. You don't want to run into anyone, but someone might come into your room to talk. Welp might as well look around. You crack open the door and peek around it. You walk out and go down the stairs. You walk through the empty halls of the tower and reach an elevator. You grin, hop in and go to the last floor. You see someone sitting in a cell. He has greasy black hair and green armor with gold accents. He reminded you of the green power ranger.

"Hello, I haven't seen you before, what's your name?" You pause for a second before answering. "I'm Y/N, and you are?" He looks up at you curiously. "I am a god. An all-powerful one, one you should fear." You chuckle and point at him. "Says the man sitting in a cell with unwashed hair." He pouts and grabs his hair. "It's shiny, not gross. I am Loki, God of Mischief. What are you doing down here anyway?" You sit down outside the cell. "Escaping the assholes upstairs." He chuckles and you look at him. "Wait, you're the guy who tried to take over New York! Ha, that was so funny." Loki crosses his arms and snarls at you. "What have you done? Stolen candy from a baby? Shoplifted!" He brings his hand to his mouth dramatically. You chuckle and look at him. "I worked for HYDRA as Agent Obscure. I've killed hundreds of people. I stole billions of dollars worth of equipment. I  have done more in any given week than you will ever accomplish, and I was brainwashed the whole time. You had complete control of your mind and nothing else." You stand up and take a bow, Loki starting with his mouth open. He didn't know whether to be impressed or deeply offended.

You turn to leave, but see the elevator doors starting to open and hide underneath a desk. A tall blonde man steps out holding a hammer. "Hello, brother." He walks closer to Loki. "Hello, Thor. Why are you visiting me today, another interrogation?" Thor laughs and slaps his hand to his knee. "Yes. What are you planning?" Loki just shakes his head. "I am planning nothing brother, so why don't you just go, I wouldn't want you to waste your time." Loki tilts his head and batts his eyelashes as Thor shakes his head. "No tricks Loki, I heard you talking. Who were you talking to?" You scrunch into a smaller ball, really hoping Thor doesn't look over. Loki chuckles and looks up at Thor. "Well, to myself of course. I get quite lonely down here all by myself. We should invite some more criminals, make it a party." Thor nods and turns to leave. "I am actually about to get ready for a party. These Midguardian's sure do like to get drunk, but with such weak alcohol, I'll never know how. I would ask you to join, but I doubt you're welcome."

As the elevator doors close you get out from your hiding spot and brush the dust off you. "Thank you for covering for me Loki." You smile and wave goodbye. "Anytime. Someone with as much wit as you deserves a break from those idiots. Please, visit again if you have the time." You nod and smile as you catch the next elevator and go to your room.

...

You lay on your bed listening to the thumping of Tony's music. You can hear people cheering and laughing downstairs but you don't go. You have no clothes to wear, and parties aren't really your thing. You sit up as you hear a knock at your door. You open it to see a man with light stubble on the other side. You give him a small wave and he returns it with a massive smile and a huge wave. "Hey, I'm Scott or Ant-Man I guess. I am kinda a half Avenger, and I heard that you were here but I couldn't find you at the party but I wanted to meet you anyway!" You smile and let him into your room. "So, do you happen to know everyone's names, because I haven't officially met everyone yet?" He nods and walks closer to you. "The super self-righteous blonde one is Steve or Captain America, and the glaring metal arm guy is his best friend Bucky. The super badass red-heads are Nat or Blackwidow and Wanda. The genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist is Tony or Iron-Man, he kinda owns the place. The nervous dude is Bruce, but her turns into the super big angry monster guy, the Hulk. The confused, very formal, blonde is Thor. The guy who is always glaring at Bucky is Sam, or Falcon. The robot is Vision, and finally, the guy who's always in the vents is Clint or Hawkeye." You nod. "Okay, Steve slash Captain America, Bucky, Sam slash Falcon, Wanda, Nat slash Black Widow, Vision, Bruce slash Hulk, Clint slash Hawkeye, Tony slash Iron-Man, and Thor." Scott nods and you take a deep breath.

"Do you like magic?" You look up at Scott and raise your eyebrow. "I mean, yeah. I've seen a few of Penn and Tellers shows." His smile widens and he jumps up. "Do you wanna see some tricks?!" You smile and nod slowly. He does a few magic tricks and you laugh and clap. You have no idea how he does it but you're having a great time. "I'm only good at one magic trick, the disappearing act." You smile as Scott tilts his head. You turn invisible and his eyes widen and he claps. You become visible and take a bow. "Wow! That is so cool! My daughter Cassie would love that! She loves magic. She's the reason I learned." You smile as he says goodbye and leaves. You dread going to sleep because you want to stay up and do magic tricks with Scott, but as soon as your head hits the pillow you're out like a light.

A/N

Yay, another chapter done! I couldn't think of a natural way to introduce Y/N to all the characters, so Scott. Thank you so much for reading! I really appreciate it, even if it's only one or two readers! (Though I am hoping I get more than that) I hope you enjoy reading!
