"I don't know what do you want me to say" I said to him as everyone continued to look up and stare at me

"well this is the part where you say your name aand how old you are" The teacher said. 

"Like I'll go first, For example My name is Mr.Kelly and I'm 28 years old. Now you try"

I looked at him before rolling my eyes. I honestly don't want to do this

I hate standing up in front of people and saying shit like it feels completely unecessary to me but whatever Me giving attitude is only gonna make me stand here longer

"My name is Ashani but I prefer to go by Ash cause I hate Ashani and Im 16 years old" He looked and me like he was confused or something

"Why do you hate your name"

"Cause my mom named me it" He looked shocked but he didn't question it

"Uh you can sit at the empty desk over in row 3 with the textbook and notebooks there" He pointed to it. I started walking to it before noticing the girl sitting right beside the desk

She had a curly afro and was kinda light skinned or I guess you could say brown skinned

she looked at me and then back at the board to where the teacher was writing on the board

"Ok class today we'll be starting the study of William shakespere does anyone know who that is" He looked around the many hands that we're up in the air and then he looked at me. It looked like he was about to pick me but then he looked at the back

"Jahseh would you care to answer" I turned to look where he was looking at and there was one desk at the back of the class with a boy there. He had black and blonde dreads like a half and half sort of thing

His head was barried in his arms as if he was trying to rest his head on the desk. He rose his head at his name being called and sighed 

"why don't you ever answer any of the questions that I give you Jahseh" He look at the teacher with anger in his eyes before speaking

"Because I don't see a point in talking to people who don't interest me" he said nonchalantly. The teacher crossed his arms 

"well your not gonna pass this class unless you start putting effort into this class" Jahseh shrugged his shoulders as he didn't care before laying his head back on the desk

For a split second I could swear he was looking at me but then he layed his head back down 

30 minutes later

class was almost over but not before our teacher decided to assign a project to us

Like nigga really on my first day 

"alright all of you guys are going to be assigned in groups and this time you will finish your HOMEWORK" he said eyeing Jahseh

"ok first things first Ashani since your new i'll partner you up with somebody" He looked around the class for a couple seconds

"Ashani you and Jahseh will be assigned partners" I sighed. Could this day get any better 

"I swear say I told you not to call me that"

Mr.Kelly or whaever the fuck his name is cause I prolly got it wrong walked up to my desk with a package in his hand with me and Jahseh's name on it

"This project will be due in 4 days so friday" before I new it the bell rang and it looked like everyone had there partners 

I walked outside the classroom and stood off to the side so I wouldn't get knocked down by all the kids 

It was only to check what class I had next and where it was. While I was focusing on my timestable a figure apeared infront of me 

I looked up and No shit it's my partner Jahseh "your Ashani right" he said

"yea and your Jahseh right" I said mocking his voice with an attitude. Instead of getting mad or somthin he just chuckled and smiled 

"whatever then you wanna come to my room at lunch"

"sure" I motioned for him to say his dorm number but he just stayed quiet before a smirk appeared on his face again 

"you have to give me your number first"

"nigga what I'm not givi-"

"well unless you wanna fail the project then fine whatever" he turned around and began to walk away 

"wait" he turned around 

"fine here have my number" The negro already had his phone in his hand and was ready to give it to me 

"I put it in his phone before he turned around and walked away"

"So not even a fuckin bye" He lifted his arm in the air while still walking down the hall making some gang sign with his hands 

"see ya Ash" he said before he siapeared down the hall

I looked around only to notice that I was the only one left in the hallway "SHIT I got class"
