Sturdy Walls Fall

My stomach was filled with knots as I slowly walked into the partly destroyed Great Hall.

It seemed that everywhere I went in this castle at the moment, the only thing evident was destruction.

Walls looked on the verge of destruction; I remember when they were standing tall and proud and they were sturdy. When there was no worry or any threat of this place falling down brick by boring brick.

The great oak doors were blown to pieces, allowing me to just walk in.

The first thing I took notice of was the crowd of redheads surrounding the floor.

In a slow manner, I found my feet guiding me towards them.

They were crowding around a body that was a little familiar to me, but not much.

I managed to see who it was. It was a man with curly red hair and his eyes were closed. Horn-rimmed glasses were smushed against his face.

My mind jogged back a memory; it was Percy Weasley. He was dead.

His family was crying. I let them be, despite my boyfriend being over there.

Instead, I walked over to where the familiar body of my cousin lay.

My Aunt Andromeda stood there with a young baby boy in her arms; it was Tonks baby.

Hurrying over towards her, I spoke to her in a hoarse voice, "Aunt Andromeda..."

She turned around; her eyes glistened with tears and the baby in her arms looked around cluelessly, as if he had no idea what was going on. He was lucky at the moment.

"Teddy's parents are dead. Tonks and Remus. I don't know if they told you," my aunt continued. "But you're the godmother. And the godfather is Harry."

"I heard my name," Harry Potter said as he came over, a look of happiness yet brokenness on his face.

"You're the godfather of Teddy here," Aunt Andromeda continued.

"Oh."

I found myself stalking away from them.

I caught the sight of a body I was too familiar with; it was my mother.

Her face was full of surprise and vacancy. She was not breathing.

I felt a smile come onto my face. My mother was dead.

"My mother killed her."
