MIKAELSON MANSION

Rebekah and Zara are having their nails done on the couch. Kol is standing before a full-length mirror wearing a black evening suit while a tailor adjusts it. Finn and Elijah are also standing in the room preparing for the ball.

Kol: Rebekah? Tell me how handsome I am.

Rebekah: Ah Kol, you know I can't be compelled.

Kol looks over at Zara

Zara: You look handsome, Kolly Wolly

Kol: That's why you're my favorite and you know I hate that nickname.

Klaus throws the doors and storms towards Rebekah

Klaus: You went after Elena!

Zara snaps her head to the side glaring at Rebekah, eye twitching and jaw clenching

Zara: You went after Elena!!

Rebekah: She daggered me!

Zara: SHE'S MY GIRLFRIEND!!!

Elliot walks into the room

Kol: Hello brother, you're glowing

Elliot: Hello to you too, brother and yes I am glowing. I had me some sex

Elijah rolls his eyes while Finn looks disgusted.

Klaus: Do you want another dagger in your heart?

Elliot: Again the dagger threats? Don't you have any more tricks?

Klaus: Oh go back to sucking Damon's face

Elliot: Who are you, my father?

Klaus: No, Elliot but you are in my house

Elliot: Let's go outside then.

Zara stands up as Esther walks into the room

Esther: Enough! Niklaus. Come.

Klaus goes into another room with his mother. Elliot follows his mother with narrowed eyes.

MYSTIC GRILL

Zara skips into the Grill but stops when she sees Rebekah talking to Elena. The blonde looks up seeing Zara glaring then walks away.

Zara walks down and sits down beside Elena, leaning up and pecks her cheek

Zara: Hello

Elena: Hey yourself, pretty girl. What are you doing here?

Zara reaches into her purse and pulls out an envelop handing it to Elena

Zara: Be my escort?

Elena: You know I will, baby

Zara smiles, standing up and leaves the Grill. Rebekah walks up to Elena

Rebekah: What's going with you and Zara?

Elena: She's my girl. We're soulmates

Rebekah: WHAT?!!

MIKAELSON MANSION

Cars are pulling up the driveway in front of the mansion. Inside there are lots of people talking. A live band is playing classical music. Zara walks out of her room in a beautiful long flowing blue dress.

Kol: You look amazing, sister. May I escort you?

Zara: Yes you may

She links her arm through Kol's and they slowly make their way down the stairs. All eyes in the door snaps towards Zara, staring at her in awe.

Elena's breath hitches in her throat, jaw hanging

Zara smiles making her way towards her

Elena: Wow! You look.........God you're breathtaking. No words to describe you

Zara: It's what I was going for, my love.

Elijah: Uh, if everyone could gather, please.

Zara: I'll be right back

She leans up and pecks her on the cheek before making her up the stairs and stands beside Elliot and Klaus. Esther walks down the staircase from upstairs.

Elijah: Welcome, thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother brings our family together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance. Tonight's pick is a centuries-old waltz, so if all of you could please find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom.

Zara walks down the stairs and Elena stands in front of her holding out her hand.

Elena: May I have this dance?

Zara: Yes you may

Elena grabs her hand and leads her out onto the dance floor.

Elena: You dance?

Zara: I love dancing

Elena: You look beautiful

Zara: So do you.

They move around the dance floor, gazing into each other's eyes

Elean: Let's go outside. I need to talk to you

They walks out of the ball, hand in hand

OUTSIDE

Elena and Zara are sitting on a bench overlooking the garden.

Zara: You shouldn't trust my mother. I don't. She's forgiven too easily.

She looks down sniffling. Elea hooks her finger under her chin raising her head up, caressing her jawline

Elena: What's wrong?

Zara lunges forward burying her head in her chest. Elena wraps her arms around resting her head on top of hers.

Zara looks up at her before pressing their lips together. Elena cups her face in her hands while Zara's hands moves throwing them around Elena's neck, tangling her fingers in her hair.

They pull away and Zara places her head against hers.

Zara: I wish we could stay here forever

Elena: If only.

She kisses her on the forehead.

Zara: I love you

Elena: I love you too, sweet girl.

LATER

Zara walks down the hallway grabbing a glass of champagne and makes her way towards Elena.

Zara: How was mommy?

Elena: Intense. Not way I imagined meeting my girlfriend's mom.

Elliot walks up to them

Elliot: Should we be concerned?

Elena: She just wanted to apologize for trying to have me killed.

Zara: So it's true? She's forgiven us?

Elena: It's------it's true, Angel.

Esther: Good Evening, Ladies and Gentleman. Waiters are coming around with champagne. I invite you all to join me in raising a glass. It provides me with no greater joy then to see my family back together as one. I'd like to thank you all for being part of this spectacular evening. Cheers!

Elliot walks across the room standing beside Damon as everyone clinks their glasses and drinks from them

Elena looks at Zara who holds her glass towards her with a smile then drinks

Elena's eyes wells up with tears watching Zara drink the pink champagne

Elena: Pretty girl?

Zara: Yes, my love?

Elena: You wanna get out of here? Go back to my place?

Zara: More then anything. Let's go

They link their hands together and walks away. Damon notices her husband glaring up towards his mother

Damon: Whatcha you thinking, babe?

Elliot: My mother. I do not trust her. She's forgiven too easily

Damon: What you think she's up to?

Elliot: I do not know, darling but we're going to find out.
