Glory placed her hand on Darkon's shoulder as he sniffed, dabbing his eyes with his cloak.

"I don't get why she's mad at you," She whispered "when she knows that you saved her life?"

"She's mad at me for leaving her" He mumbled "and she doesn't know the actual reason I did the dare, she blames me."

They had just teleported back to the forest and now were sitting on a large rock.

"Why don't you tell her?"

"I have a good mind to tell her," He stopped before adding "But it's for later."

"Why put off until tomorrow when you can do it today?"

He looked at her in shock "I didn't know you could be wise."

"Eh, I'm unpredictable. Anyway, you didn't answer my question."

"She's gonna murder me if I tell her" He started "or at least seriously injure."

Glory grinned teasingly "Is the all powerful and feared Darkon scared of his little sister?"

"Hey!" He said, offended but nevertheless amused "that little sister can murder me very easily! And she has the upper hand! Because I go easy on her!"

"You go easy on her?" The teen asked.

He nodded.

This was not surprising at all.

"If I didn't care about her so much, she could've been nothing but a corpse by now," He shuddered, probably at the thought of that.

"You know, you're such a big softie," She said, poking his arm with her finger "Nothing like how the others make you out to be."

He frowned "I thought I had already told you that."

"Honestly, I wasn't completely convinced,"

He rolled his eyes.

"I think you should start heading back now, you'll have a lot of questions to answer if you don't."

Glory nodded. The sky had started to turn purplish blue, the forget-me-not blue mixing with it like paint colors on a paper.

She got up, dusting her clothes. Darkon got up after her, his black cloak flowing.

"Well, it was nice meeting you, my little niece" He said, ruffling her hair fondly.

She gave him a smile "It was nice meeting you too. I hope you don't mind if I don't call you uncle."

"Nah, I didn't want you to call me 'Uncle Darkon' anyway," He said with a grin.

Sunny ran over to Glory and hugged her tightly as she approached them.

"You're back," She whispered "I was so worried."

"Where were you?" Storm narrowed his eyes at her.

"I was," She racked her brain for excuses "out for a walk, and met a little deer that I liked, and I played with it for a while."

He gazed at her with a searching look that meant he didn't believe her before sighing "Alright."

She looked around, counting every person of the group for no reason. While doing so, she noticed something.

"Where's Mist?" She asked the others as Sunny finally let go of her.

"Wait, we didn't notice that," Rai said worryingly "Where is she?"

"Did anyone see her sneaking away?" Blaze asked.

"No." Came the reply.

"I'll go look for her," Skye and Callisto both said at the same time.

"No." Rai and Storm said firmly, crossing their arms.

"Oh come on! I'm going!"

"Why can't I go? It's not like I'm gonna get murdered."

"Skye, you are not going," Storm said, his jaw clenching "That's final."

"Well then," Callisto stood up "I'm going."

Rai immediately grabbed his hand and pulled him back down "You're not going too, mister. I'll go."

Callisto huffed like a little child as Rai walked away and out of sight.

He muttered something inaudible under his breath.

Glory took the time to just sit down and observe the others. Sunny was humming to herself, Simba asleep, curled up in her lap. Blaze had a look of worry on his face while he twirled a leaf with his fingers. Cole seemed the least bothered by the sudden disappearance of Mist, for he was sitting on a branch, reading with a calm expression. Skye was pacing around while muttering things under her breath. Storm kept shifting his gaze from Callisto and Skye. Callisto was curled up by a tree, rocking back and forth.

After what seemed like ages, Rai appeared, his arm wrapped firmly around Mist's shoulders, his thumb gently stroking her left one. Mist's eyes were shining and a bit red.

Strange Glory thought.

Skye jumped a bit at seeing her and her face brightened up. Callisto got up to his feet rather hurriedly and ran to hug Mist. Mist gratefully returned the hug. She was acting so strange right now.

After they separated, Skye walked over to her. Placing her hands on the teen's shoulders, she asked "Where were you?"

"I was out for a walk," She mumbled.

"Why did you go for a walk without permission?"

"So now Glory can go, and I can't?"

"Glory went for a walk while it was daylight, you went at night, which is more dangerous" Callisto interjected.

As Glory laid on the soft grass, pretending to be asleep, she overheard a conversation. It went something like this:

"Why was Mist crying?" Skye hissed in a low voice.

"She went for a walk, found a mysterious-and rather curious- artifact. She touched it, and it sucked her into her worst nightmare," She heard Rai whisper back "and you know what her worst nightmare is."

"Yeah" Skye mumbled as the raven's ears pricked up with curiosity. What was Mist's worst nightmare?

She could feel Rai's gaze boring into her back as he whispered "I know you're awake, Glory. It's no use pretending you're asleep."

Dang it she thought.

She rolled over to face the adults.

Skye frowned "How much did you hear?"

"Just the part from why was Mist crying," She said, propping herself up on one elbow "one question."

"Go ahead."

"What is Mist's worst nightmare?"

The two exchanged dark looks before Rai said in a low voice "somethings are better unknown, Glory. And Mist wouldn't be too happy if she knew we told you."

"Then how do you guys know?"

"She has talked to me about it before," Skye shrugged.

"Oh," She gushed out "Well, good night."

She laid back down as the two said their own good nights.
