Chapter 12:
I didn't know what to write and I winged it . So this happened...
2-year old Glory covered her mouth to hide her giggle as Storm called out "Come out, come out, wherever you are."
She was hiding behind the couch. She saw the shadow of her father coming in the room.
"I know you're in here..." He said "You're..." With a swift motion, he reached an arm behind, wrapped it around her and pulled her out "Here."
"That was totawy cheating" She muttered as he placed her in his lap. He chuckled and ruffled her black hair "Hey. I can't help it if I'm better at hide and seek."
"I can beat you" She said. "No you can't."
She crossed her small arms and huffed "No faiw. You aways win."
He stood up and picked her up "C'mon . Now let's go to sleep."
She looked like he had betrayed her for a moment before grumbling "Fine."
He carried her to her bedroom and sat down on her green bed. He laid her down but she sat back up.
"Come on sweetie" He insisted . She pouted "Pwease..."
He stroked her hair and thought for a moment before asking "How about I read you something?"
She sadly nodded. He got off the bed and went to the shelf. He pulled out a book titled 'Go Ahead, Secret Seven' and sat back down beside her. She leaned on to him. She looked SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO freakin' small compared to him.
He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her small frame closer to his chest. He started reading "Peter walked home, swinging his satchel..."
After a while, the sound of her gentle snores filled the room. He smiled and gently laid her down. He got up and placed the book in its place then went back to her.
He leaned down and kissed her forehead "G'night Glorious."
-----
7-year old Glory sat on a chair of the café while her dad was giving their orders.
She was wearing a white dress with pink mandala patterns on it and pink flip flops. Her black hair was held back with a small pink hairpin. She rested her elbows on the table.
Storm walked to her, their drinks in his hands. He handed her Oreo milkshake to her and sat down. She examined it and took a sip of it.
"Where are we going next?" She asked.
"I don't know" He said.
"How 'bout we just watch movies at home?" she suggested. "With pizza."
"YES!" She whisper-yelled.
-----
10-year old Glory swung on the park swing.
She liked the feeling of going up high in air, the wind in her hair. It was so nic-
"Give it back!"
"Haha. Take it if you can"
She turned to the source of the voices. Three boys were standing.
One other boy, a bit shorter than the rest, jumped, trying to catch his spectacles that one of the taller boys was holding.
Glory tried to ignore it but a feeling inside her kept telling her to go stop them. Finally, she got off the swing and walked up to them.
"Give it back to him" She said.
They all turned to her.
One of them walked to her "Ooh. Look what we have here."
He had brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing a black T-shirt and ripped jeans. Glory immediately hated him.
She held out her hand "I'm asking to give it back kindly."
He ran three fingers through her black hair and she pulled her hair back with a small flick of her neck. "What if I don't?"
She was starting to get irritated but said "Give it back , please?" "What if I don't?"
Gosh , were these boys stubborn.
Suddenly, she didn't even know how she knew it or why, she kicked him in the shin as hard as she could, catching the spectacles as he dropped them "I asked you thrice."
The three boys went away without another word.
She knelt down beside the boy and handed him the spectacles. He put them on and looked at her. She was holding a hand out in front of him. He looked at it hesitantly but accepted it. She pulled him back to his feet.
"Thank you" He thanked her. "No problem."
Now Glory looked at him clearly, she saw that he had neat black hair and chocolate brown eyes behind his spectacles.
After a small awkward silence, she held out her hand for him to shake "I'm Glory." He shook it "I'm Aaron." Could this be the start of a new friendship?
You have no idea.
"What's your favourite color?" She asked him.
"Black , you?"
"Green."
"Glory!"
"Huh?" She turned to the source of the voice. Storm was standing, waving her over.
"Oh, that's my dad" She said, sad that she had to go "Sorry. gotta go." He shrugged "It's OK. I'm sure we'll see each other again."
"Yeah. Bye!" She waved at him and ran to Storm. "Come on" He held his hand out and she placed her small one on his.
-----
14 year old Glory looked at her life now and bit back a sigh.
It was overwhelming but exciting at the same time.
Like, she was an element, THE ELEMENT OF AIR!?
So basically, the world could end without her.
Well, if they kept sitting here and doing nothing, it would end.
New friends? Oh boy...
Mist, the element of water, although she was nothing like Glory had imagined the human form of water like. She was fierce, independent and would rather fight than talk things out. With her long jet black hair and sparkling aqua blue eyes, she was sure to capture the heart of some boy someday. She was clearly not in a good mood today and Skye kept glancing at her with an unreadable emotion in her flaming blood red eyes.
Blaze, the element of fire, he was sorta like how Glory had imagined the human form of fire as. Egotistical, protective and loyal, he would fight for his friends no matter what. He had silky brown hair and flaming red eyes that looked a bit scary but friendly at the same time. He was in an okay mood today but seemed to be in deep thoughts.
Cole, the element of earth, not like she had imagined the human form of earth either. He was nerdy, smart and brave. He was the mastermind of the group. He knew how to fight but leaned over to talking things out. He and Mist would fight or argue from time to time. His neat black hair and yellow eyes which always seemed to be thinking and calculating things. He wasn't in a good mood either.
Skye, her, mom and the legendary Fire Girl. She was brave, fierce and loyal. She showed to have a loving side too. Darkon and her rivalry seemed interesting to the teen girl. Her long red hair and flaming blood red eyes were scary, no kidding. She really loved Storm, no doubt in that and he loved her more than anything too. How they met, that's what interested her.
Sunny, the youngest of the group, being just 13. Her cheerful and caring personality could make anyone's day. She had strawberry blonde hair that flowed down to her mid back and bright green eyes that would sparkle in the daylight. She was the most precious flower and the whole group would protect her.
Callisto, one of the male guardians. He had a kind and caring personality that earned him the title of 'The nicest out of the three guardians' from the other kids. He had scruffy black hair and blue eyes. He was really nice, especially to Mist.
Rai, the other male guardian. He had a caring but dark personality. He had red hair and green eyes very similar to Sunny's. Glory was desperate to know who was his wife and Sunny's mother.
She got up "I'm gonna go for a walk."
Hey guys!
Sorry for not updating for so long. It was 1333 words, and I'm guessing half of the words are the character descriptions. I hope they were better and I changed a few things in their personalities and looks.
Bye!
