Backstory: When she was 5 she was in the adoption center for magic children and was said to have the Shadow element. At 7 she was adopted by Alina Shor but didn't take their last name and kept her own. At 8 years old she met Yuma. The rest starts in this book.

Backstory: Born and raised by people from the Air element they knew she would get an element, not expecting fire to be her element. She got cats(mainly Grey ones) to try and help boost her 'air powers'. It didn't work as well as they thought. She met Mila at the age of 8 who was best friends since.
