XXVI

Throwing a couple more t-shirts into his backpack, Jungkook was quick to finish packing his bag, zipping up the zipper before throwing it over his shoulder. With furrowed brows, Jungkook rose his arm in front of his face, carefully examining the bracelet that hung loosely from his wrist.

"Pretty isn't it?" Jimin spoke up, leaning against the door frame of Jungkook's bedroom as the younger male quickly cleaned up before they left.

Jungkook let out a sigh, sweeping a hand through his tousled hair, "I suppose." he replied, walking around to the side of his bed as he began to fix the sheets, "Where's yours?"

Jimin momentarily went silent, freezing in place before a sombre smile worked its way across his lips, "I don't have one yet... my ability hasn't been awoken."

Jungkook finished making his bed, "I see..."

"It's fine though!" Jimin piped up, letting out a small chuckle, "It's not as if it'll never awaken, we're just waiting for the right time."

Jungkook rose a brow, "So you're saying that it was perfectly okay to blow down my door and confront me without warning?"

Slapping a hand against his forehead, Jimin shook his head, "You're a different case."

Straightening himself up, Jungkook's lip twisted into a frown. Jimin was right, unlike the others, he had awoken his ability entirely on his own. Tightening his grip around the strap of his backpack, Jungkook let out a huff, "I suppose..."

Feeling remorseful towards the brunette, Jimin moved aside as Jungkook headed out of his bedroom, closing the door behind them both as they moved into the living room where most of the others sat.

On the couch sat Yoongi and Hoseok. Whilst Yoongi surprisingly sat upright, the male beside him began to doze off, head tipping every so often as his eyes threatened to close and send him off into a dream. It was unlike Hoseok to be so exhausted, so Jimin couldn't help but begin to question, "What's up with him?" he asked, gesturing towards Hoseok whilst his eyes locked with Yoongi's.

Ruffling his raven hair, Yoongi let out a 'tsk', "He didn't sleep so well on the train ride here... nor did he nap at the motel we found." he began to explain, eyes falling over Hoseok's form, "Besides... he was the one who did most of the fighting when you and Jin showed up."

Jimin parted his lips as he mouthed a small 'ah I see,' lips falling into a thin line as he recalled earlier this morning when himself and Jin tried to lure away most of the Andromedans. They managed to get most of the alien-like men to follow after them, but being defenceless, when they arrived at the motel it was Yoongi and Hoseok who had to do most of the fighting.

"Speaking of Jin..." Jimin scanned the room, frowning when he noticed that two people were missing, "where's Jin and Aurora?"

"Oh-" Hoseok's eyes lazily opened as he let out a small yawn, "Jin was worried that Aurora might've suffered a slight concussion so he took her back to rest."

Lips parting into an 'o' shape, Jimin nod his head in acknowledgement, "Got it..."

Jungkook however wasn't paying attention, eyes drifting over to the mess that had been made of his front room. His front door was now blown from its hinges, little pieces of wood covering the floor and threatening to cause a painful splinter for anyone who wasn't too careful. The windows were also shattered, only their jagged edges remained, the rest of the fragments sparkling in the light which flooded through the west side of the house. Jungkook found himself shuffling over to one of the broken pieces of glass, carefully picking it up. In its reflection he could see the sun beginning to set over the horizon, the sky transforming into an array of golden peachy hues.

Despite his sleepiness, Hoseok noticed Jungkook's slightly troublesome expression, so standing from his seat, Hoseok stretched his arms high above his head, letting out a yawn, "It's time we head back to the motel." he spoke up, gaining everyones attention, "Jin said that this is where things should start to get serious. We should really plan our next move."

Jimin rose a brow, crossing his arms over his chest, "What about Taehyung?"

Hoseok shook his head, "Seokjin said that he'll show up in due time, our main focus is fetching the holder of the Reality stone and then making our way to the Galaxy of Andromeda."

Ruffling his hair, Yoongi's lips tilted into a frown, "So we're seriously going to space huh-"

Hoseok sighed, "Not until we find that 'k.n' guy first."

Back at the motel, Aurora sat herself up on one of the beds. Crossing her legs, she stuffed her hands into her lap, a frown working its way across her face as she turned to face Seokjin, "So... Kim Namjoon right?"

Pacing backwards and forwards across the small motel room, Seokjin pinched the bridge of his nose, "That's him..." he sighed, seemingly troubled as he continued to pace around, "But I can't track where he is. With the stone, us elementals have the ability to hide our location for safety reasons... I'm doing the same, so it's not like he can find me either." Seokjin explained, finally coming to a stop as he took a seat beside Aurora.

The bed slightly sunk below her, the springs of the mattress squeaking as Seokjin took a seat. His shoulders slumped in defeat, "I don't know where to start... we can't go to Andromeda without him. We need all the power we can get." he confessed, running a hand stressfully through his hair.

Aurora's eyes went wide with Seokjin's words. She thought back. Back to the very beginning. Back to when she first entered that library and slipped the book of elements from the dusty old shelf. Falling almost breathless, Aurora turned to face the elemental, "Jin... I think I might know someone." she began to explain, cursing at herself for forgetting in the first place.

Raising a brow, Jin looked a little sceptical, "Go on..."

"At the library, there was an old lady." Aurora began to explain, recalling the event, "When I picked up the book of elements and placed it on the counter, she knew who I was. That I was the collector of the elements." she spoke, rendering Seokjin speechless as he continued to listen closely. Aurora drew in a deep breath as she continued, "As if reality was distorted, everything froze and she became young again, only for a second before everything returned to normal..."

"Of course!" Seokjin exclaimed, immediately springing to his feet as he came to a realisation, "Jude! I almost forgot!"

"Jude?" Aurora frowned

"Yes, Jude!" Seokjin shout, placing both his hands against Aurora's shoulders, "After tens of thousands of years I almost forgot." he began to explain, pausing before he continued, "There are the elementals of course, then the collector, which is you," Seokjin pointed out, gesturing towards Aurora who was still seated on the bed, "And then there's the keeper of the information of the universe... someone that records all history in their mind." Seokjin grinned, placing his fingers against his temples, "That's Jude. She's one of us, and I bet if she was given that book then she knows where Namjoon is hiding."
