"Life?" Aurora repeated, brows furrowed as she turned her gaze towards Seokjin.

The group were now heading further away from the small cottage in the woods, a cool breeze brushing against their skin and entangling itself through their hair as they trudged through the forest once again.

From up front, Hoseok pursed his lips, holding his phone to the sky as he moved it slowly backwards and forth. Frowning, the orange haired male carefully held his phone a little to his right, eyes growing wide when three small bars appeared in the top corner of his screen.

"Everyone stop!" he shrieked, placing a hand out to stop the group in their tracks. A wide grin crept over his features as he began tapping away at his phone. "Finally I've got bars." he uttered, poking his tongue out from the corner of his lips as he concentrated on carefully typing their location into google maps, eyeing out any motels in the area.

From behind him, Seokjin decided to answer Aurora's question, running a hand through his hair as he turned to face the girl, "Life doesn't just bring healing and good deeds... it can also bring harm and death." he began to explain, voice steady as he spoke on, "The element of life not only has the ability to renew life, but also take it."

Aurora gulped, a lump forming in her throat as she thought back to the male at the cottage. He was dangerous. The element of life was dangerous. This whole time she'd felt comforted by the feeling of having the elementals around her, that they would protect her and keep her safe, but lately things seemed almost the opposite.

Bringing her dainty fingers over the hem of her shirt, she began to fidget with the material.

The thought of this elemental scared her.

Mouth going dry, Aurora sucked in a short breath of air, "By the looks of him, I think he's probably already figured it out." she spoke up, gaze falling to her feet as she recalled the frightened look on the male's face back at the cottage. The anxiety, the gloved hands, and his defensive tone practically said it all.

Seokjin gave a small nod, placing his hands against his hips as he let out a sigh, "And probably not in a good way." he stated, biting down on his lower lip, "He's isolated himself from the world, kept himself from people... most likely to avoid taking a life. He probably thinks he's cursed. He has no control over his ability which is why as the collector of the elements you need to make contact with him."

Aurora's lips parted, "How come? He already has his ability."

The corner of Seokjin's lip momentarily rose into a smirk before his expression fell flat once again, "Have you not noticed how easily Hoseok and Yoongi picked up on their abilities?" he began to explain, "Like instinct, they may've had a fright at first, but they had control."

Aurora's eyes grew wide, gaze rising to meet with Seokjin's once again, "Oh God... that's true." she uttered.

After a bit of a heart attack at first, Yoongi and Hoseok had mastered their abilities quite easily. When Yoongi had first gained his, they managed to leap from a three story building and mess with a construction sight without hurting themselves. And in Hoseok's case, he managed to straight up defend himself without even knowing he had an ability in the first place.

It was like instinct... like breathing came naturally, so did their abilities.

Seokjin gave a small smile, "I think it might work for that kid, we've gotta try." he suggested, words rolling coaxingly off his tongue as he awaited Aurora's reply.

But Aurora hesitated. She felt herself almost constricting at the thought of having to touch an elemental again. At first the electric shock was bearable, but she'd still failed to speak up about the shocks becoming almost heart stopping as of recently. But none the less... it still had to be done.

So swallowing her fear, Aurora suppressed her bubbling anxiety, sending a confident expression Seokjin's way, "Yeah" she spoke, gripping onto the strap of her backpack, "Lets give it a shot."

Whilst Hoseok and Yoongi headed off to a nearby motel, Aurora, Jimin and Seokjin turned back in the direction of the small cottage. Seokjin had insisted that he alone was enough to battle whatever came their way, the stone being enough to take on the enemy.

By this stage, the sun had fully risen, soft rays streaming past the trees of the surrounding forest, a soothing feeling of warmth against their skin. They strolled back up the dirt road, shoes stirring up the earth as they trudged back up the hill and to the small cottage in the clearing of the woods.

Aurora was quick to notice that the steady stream of smoke pluming from the chimney had come to a stop, the windows open now instead, presumably for natural lighting. Swallowing thickly, Aurora dragged her tired feet back up to the front door. Jimin and Seokjin keeping their distance, but remaining in sight just incase.

Taking in a deep breath, Aurora calmed herself as she brought a fist to the wooden door, giving it a slight knock before taking a step backwards. She found herself holding her breath tight as she waited on the front porch, lips pressing into a fine line as her knocking was followed by mere silence.

Grinding her teeth with impatience, Aurora let out her breath, raising her fist once again to give an even louder knock. However, she found herself pausing at the sound of a jittering handle, the wooden door slightly creaking open.

With the light barely illuminating his features, a familiar fluffy haired brunette came to the door. His gloved hands held tightly onto the wooden frame, eyes narrowed as he let out a huff of annoyance. "Did you not hear me the first time?" he spoke, hands noticeably gripping the door tighter, "I told you guys to get lost."

Inhaling a sharp breath of cold wintery air, Aurora took a step forwards. With eyes of determination, she slammed a hand firmly against the slightly parted wooden door, startling the brunette as his eyes were quick to grow wide. Gritting her teeth and clenching a fist by her side Aurora's eyes locked with the male's, "I'm sorry." was all she dared to utter, loosing no time in reaching a hand quickly through the gap in the door.

As if time had slowed down, the brunette was quick to stumble away from the entrance, but not fast enough as Aurora's fingers managed to brush faintly along his wrist, sending them both into a fit of shock.

The touch was brief, barely noticeable until Aurora felt it... she felt the monstrous pain surge through her once again. It started at her fingertips and shot throughout her veins, a burning pain like wildfire spreading up her arms underneath her now paled skin. She felt herself stumble, inhaling a sharp breath only to render herself breathless as the feeling of electricity took over her every thought. Her legs began to shake, beads of sweat forming over her heated skin as she tried desperately to breath... to scream even. But she simply couldn't.

"AURORA!?" Jimin's voice rang out, the blonde quick to dash to her trembling figure. He found himself drawing his lower lip between his teeth as he reached out a hand, flinching just before he touched her skin as he remembered that he still wasn't able to touch her, to help her though the pain. He found himself clenching his teeth as he dropped his arms back to his side, a wave of nausea washing over him as he was quick to realise that at this moment, there was absolutely nothing he could do.

Seokjin however was quick to come up from behind him, lightly pushing him to the side as he grabbed a firm hold of Aurora's slumped shoulders, the girl struggling to breath as she wrapped her arms around her slender form. "Aurora!?" Seokjin shout, trying to keep himself level headed as he struggled to comprehend the situation. "Aurora... take deep breaths okay?" Spinning the girl to face him, Seokjin gestured towards his chest as he took in a breath, "Breath in," With trembling lips, Aurora found herself slowly beginning to calm down, taking in a shaky breath as she followed Seokjin's words.

Seokjin's chest fell, "And breath out..."

She let out a breath of air, body beginning to relax as she slowly regained her composure. "I-I'm..." she drew in another unsteady breath, "I'm fine..." she spoke unsurely, feeling the electric current begin to leave her.

Feeling somewhat reassured, Jimin parted his lips to speak, but was quick to be interrupted by the male still standing in the doorway of the cottage. "What the fuck did you do!?" he exclaimed, rubbing a gloved hand against his wrist as he winced in pain. Jimin couldn't help but frown, brows furrowing as he realised that the brunette had only received a minor electric shock... much like all the other elementals had.

So why was Aurora's experiences getting worse?

From beside him, Aurora shook her hands out in front of her, "It's not anything bad, I promise." she reassured, taking a step towards the man in the doorway, "Just- right now we've just gotta look out for-"

"MOVE!"

Seokjin's voice pierced through the air, cutting Aurora's words short as he pushed her aside, launching himself in front of the doorway with frightening speed. Aurora found herself frazzled before from the corner of her eye, she caught sight of it.

Twisting in the daylight, as if it could slice up the sun-rays, Aurora's expression grew blank as a single knife was thrown through the air, spinning until it landed a direct hit on Seokjin's forearm.

The older male cursed, his hand instinctively latching a hold of the cut against his arm. Crimson red blood began to soak itself into his shirt, trailing down his fingertips as he held a breath. And that's when Aurora's eyes grew horrifyingly wide, gaze not leaving the sight of Seokjin's elemental marking. Blood had soaked itself over the black line-work, the hands of the clock slashed by the knife, the marking beginning to flicker as Seokjin's face contorted in pain.

She couldn't help but take a step back, a hand covering her mouth in shock, "Holy shit... they destroyed it."

Still standing by the front door, the brunette was now in a state of complete and utter disbelief, eyes frozen on Seokjin's form. With a blood soaked hand, Seokjin brought his fingers away from the wound, examining the deep cut with a scoff, "Don't worry." he breathed, turning on his heels to face the forest, "My marking may be sliced, but it'll heal within a day... for the meantime though I can't use it, I can't manipulate time."

Jimin began to pull at his hair, "Not even with the ring!?"

He shook his head, "No, the ring channels the energy into me, not out." he sighed, sharp eyes narrowing on the moving figures hidden within the surrounding bushland, "They finally stepped up their game." he chuckled, earning a concerned glance from Aurora as his face split into a grin that arced in a sickly way, never making it to his almost sunken eyes. It was almost as if the coldness of the blade against Seokjin's skin steadied his resolve. It pulled him into the moment.

Standing beside both Aurora and Seokjin, Jimin caught sight of the alien like men, "Um... what the hell am I seeing!?"

Jin simply rolled back his shoulders, bending down as he took a hold of the knife against the front porch of the cottage, the polished blade now soaked in his own blood. With a grin, he spun it in between his fingers, catching it in an ice-pick like grip as he faced the forest in both determination and excitement,

"Welcome to my world"
