"Please don't pass out!" Hoseok screeched, quickly closing his hand into a tight fist as he cut off his elemental abilities. The flames were quick to vanish, golden light fading back into the shadows of the poorly lit room. Letting his arm fall back to his side, Hoseok was quick to take a hesitant step forwards.
Back pressed against the wall opposite the group, Jimin was at a loss for words, practically rendered speechless by Hoseok's demonstration. He couldn't help but want to shrink away, become clueless once again because to him, now that he knew the reasoning for his entire being, he couldn't help but want to forget it all. Ignorance can be a blessing sometimes, and Jimin wanted more then anything to just live about his normal life, without having to be an elemental.
Jimin was as rigid as a statue, eyes falling to the floor as he came to realise his purpose. "I hate this." he muttered, ash blonde hair falling softly over his eyes as his gaze remained glued to his feet. Fascinating how his shoes had suddenly become so interesting as he began scanning his footwear, right from the way he did his laces down to the dirt and worn out sides, "Does this mean... the only reason I was born was for the sake of the universe?" Adams apple bobbing in his throat, Jimin's mouth began to go dry at the thought, "This is the path I have to take... isn't it." he muttered, tensed shoulders loosening as he softened his stance, defensive walls crumbling as he rested himself tiredly against the wall.
It wasn't just Jimin that suddenly fell into dejection, but the rest of the group as well. They never had a choice in any of this! It almost seemed like they had to give their lives up for the sake of everyone else's. In the grand scheme of things, it was only fair, but should the suffering of one person be justified as okay if the rest are happy?
Letting out a sigh, Seokjin took action, strolling over towards the blonde haired male. "Jimin?" he piped up, resting a warm hand of comfort against the male's shoulder. Slowly but surely, Jimin rose his head, making eye contact with the taller male. Seokjin gave a soft smile, one that was almost sugar coated with bitter sweetness, "Trust me, it's a privilege to be chosen."
Brows furrowing, Jimin shook his head in disbelief, "How is this a privilege!?" he scoffed, however, Seokjin kept his cool.
"Elemental or not, you would've been born." He began to explain, gaining the attention of both Hoseok and Yoongi as well. "It's not the universe that decided for you to be born... the universe didn't decide that, your parents did." he chuckled sadly, "The only thing the universe decided was that you would be a good person." he continued to explain, lightly squeezing the younger's shoulder in reassurance, "You were chosen because you've got good morals and a good heart," Seokjin paused as he turned back to face the rest of the group with a smile, "It chose us all because of that simple fact... we're the best of the best."
Seokjin's words sunk in to all three elementals present. He was right about one thing... they all had a good heart. Yoongi who had risked his own life to protect Aurora's, and Hoseok who had abandoned his life for the sake of the universe, they were meant to be the best of the best, pure and kind hearted souls.
And they had proven that numerous times already.
Through the open window, the wind, mild that it was caught Aurora's hair and dress, blowing them behind as her eyes drifted towards the sky. The wind was cold, a sign that winter was slowly approaching as the trees outside began to loose their leaves. Aurora couldn't help but run her hands up her forearms as she began to slightly tremble. It was late, and everyone had gone through enough for one night.
"Lets just rest up." she spoke, gaining everyone's attention as she stood before the group, "I think we have a lot of decisions to make, fights to prepare for... but as for tonight I think we're all just plain tired." she breathed, turning towards the group.
For starters, herself and Seokjin had just returned home from an extremely dangerous battle. She wanted nothing more then to dive into the thick covers of her bed, resting her tired head against a mound of pillows and to drift off to sleep.
Hoseok was obviously feeling the same way, a hand rested against his head as he fought with his hangover symptoms. His eyes would squint every so often, the corner of his lip twitching and face shrivelling every time he felt the dull throb of his headache escalate. "I agree." Hoseok groaned, "There's three lounges to sleep on, and then someone can double up with me in the bed." He rose an arm as he waved everyone off, "Goodnight."
Finally peeling himself away from the wall, Jimin ruffled his hair, "I just wanna sleep on all of this... maybe I'll feel better about it in the morning." he muttered, yawning with lidded eyes as he shuffled over to one of the couches, kicking his shoes off before laying down.
Eyes darting over to the clock ticking against the living room wall, Aurora found her nose crinkling up when she read that the time was already 5:00am in the morning. "Yeah, I'm gonna hit the hay." she spoke, rolling her eyes at the time, "I forgot that whilst Jin and I were out fighting monsters, all of you guys were out partying." she sighed, taking her position on another one of the lounges.
And so the rest followed suit, Seokjin taking the last lounge whilst Yoongi sucked up his courage,
and slipped into bed alongside Hoseok.

Being the first to wake, Jimin found himself shuffling over towards the window, opening it up as the cool morning breeze channeled itself inside, blinds ruffling in the wind. He peered out over the window cill, eyes taking in the bright colours squeezing through the clouds. It was chilly he thought, pulling his arms around himself. The scent of rain hung in the air as he watched the sky slowly begin to darken and the colours of the night fade away as morning fully arrived. Pinks, yellows and reds disappeared first, blue soon following. But all of that would be overtaken by the greyness climbing over the mountain skyscrapers, an unmistakable roll of thunder growling threateningly in the distance.
The blonde stood at the window as the clouds rolled in. He had only managed to get a mere two hours sleep... but would tossing and turning be considered sleep any way? Jimin didn't think so, so instead he just decided to watch the sunrise... or the storm rolling in he guessed.
It didn't take long for the husky colour of the sky to fade, rain slowly beginning to splatter against the pavement on the streets below. So bringing his arms to the window, he slid it shut, proceeding to watch from behind the protection of the glass.
His eyes however peeled away from the window at the sound of a yawn, soft footfalls becoming louder and louder until he noticed a presence looming beside him. So peeling his eyes away from the window, he turned to face the shorter person beside him.
Realising Jimin's eyes were on her, Aurora's lips rose into a small smile, "Morning." she uttered, voice still a little groggy from sleep as she tiredly rubbed at her eyes. Her hair was a tangled mess, eyes still lidded as she made eye contact with the blonde.
Jimin couldn't help but let out a chuckle, "Morning to you too..." he paused before he continued, "I don't think we formally introduced ourselves." he began, recalling the incident from last night. So with a kind smile, he held out a hand, "I'm Park Jimin, part time university student, dancer, and a professional at holding my liquor." he spoke proudly, a sarcastic undertone in his voice as he slightly bowed his head with a smirk.
Aurora couldn't help but chuckle at the male's goofiness, something she failed to see during last nights drama. So raising both her hands, she tucked her hair behind her ears, eyes crinkling as she smiled, "I'm Aurora Lane, full time university student, and full time collector of the seven elements of reality." She replied, giving a small curtsy with a chuckle. "I'm sorry, but I can't shake your hand." she spoke, smile falling from her face.
Jimin's lips twisted into a frown, "Why's that?" he asked, withdrawing his hand and sliding it into the pocket of his jeans instead.
She sighed, "It's something between the collector and the elementals." she rose the palm of her hand, lightly tracing her fingers over her skin with a troublesome expression, "When I touch an elemental for the first time, it awakens their abilities which signals a temporary location to anyone who wants to come after us... kinda like a shock wave, it happens once." she explained, "Or at least that's what Seokjin told me." she chuckled, letting her eyes flicker out the rain-washed window, small streaks of water streaming down the glass.
"I see..." Jimin spoke, slightly moving himself away from Aurora.
From the corner of her eye, Aurora couldn't help but frown at Jimin's now dejected expression, "It's nothing to worry about though!" She chirped, making an effort to lighten the mood again, "When the time's right, we'll be prepared." she smiled, earning a chuckle from the male beside her. And it's only then does she notice how beautiful the man really was.
Under the light of day, Jimin's skin looked all the more golden, smooth to the touch with not a single imperfection. His ash blonde hair fell stylishly over his forehead, dark coffee coloured eyes bringing some kind of sensibility back to the magic they'd been experiencing lately. As he smiled wide, his eyes crinkled up, a chipped tooth coming into view showing that even the most ethereal males had imperfections.
"Anyways..." Jimin spoke, eyes drifting back out the window, "I'm in for something big... aint I?"
Aurora gave a sad smile, "Just know that you're not alone in this... okay?" she spoke, gaining the attention of the blonde haired male once again. She rolled her eyes with a chuckle, "How do you think I feel! I'm part of this whole mess too... yet I don't have a single protective ability." she laughed, finding it ironically humorous how the universe didn't provide her with any abilities whatsoever.
From beside her, Jimin turned to face the girl, lip ticking up into a smile, "You've got the elementals to protect you dummy." he grinned, wanting more then anything to playfully ruffle the girl's hair, but he restrained himself from touching her, instead leaving her speechless at his kind words as he turned on his heels, heading over towards the kitchen.
From the window, Aurora stood frozen, eyes still staring at the spot where Jimin once stood. "R-right." she muttered, forgetting that she did in fact have a means of protection. She just chose to overlook it until Jimin straight up said it himself.
Ears perking up, Aurora found herself turning towards the kitchen when she heard a chorus of voices. Shuffling over to the room, Aurora turned into the kitchen with a smile as she realised that the mindless chatter was non other then Yoongi, Hoseok and Seokjin who had just woken up. Jimin on the other hand was already making himself a bowl of cereal, proclaiming that he had technically been 'kidnapped' and he would refrain from saying a thing if he could help himself to anything in the house.
Being too tired to complain, Hoseok had agreed, stepping over to the fridge to pull out a bottle of store brought pancake mix. "Everyone get out of the kitchen whilst I cook." he muttered, voice still raspy from sleep as he began to rummage through the kitchen cupboards, "It's too cramped in here."
Aurora gave a small salute, "Rodger that." she chuckled, quickly ushering the half asleep males towards the dinning room instead, sitting them down at the wooden table.
From outside, the hammering of rain filled the silence, windows completely rain-washed by the downpour. The distant rumble of thunder could be heard, but Aurora had a feeling that despite the weather, Seokjin wouldn't hesitate to go in search of another elemental.
"So..." Seokjin sounded, placing his hands firmly against the dinning room table. His blonde hair was a tousled mess, small strands poking up in different directions as he spoke, "as you are all painfully aware, we really need to get a move on." he breathed, letting his eyes fall sternly towards the group, "It's only a matter of time before the earth perishes. I'm afraid your sun will begin to loose energy eventually, which is why we need to hurry and gather the seven elementals, then take back the stones which are rightfully ours." he explained, making it clear what the motive now was.
Without the stones, the elementals had no control over the universe, only control over small amounts of that ability. Therefore in order to save not only the earth, but the entirety of the universe, they needed the stones, Hoseok especially seeing as the stone of energy would keep the sun at its full strength.
"Jimin." Seokjin spoke up, earning a confused stare from the younger male seated across from him, "Have you decided to join us?"
Jimin's eyes widened at Seokjin's words. Even though he was needed, Seokjin still gave him the kind offer of leaving. Jimin gave a small nod, "Yes. If it's for the greater good, I'll help." he spoke, earning a sigh of relief from the time bearer. "But!" Jimin chirped, earning confused glances from the rest of the group, "I'm leaving my life behind because of this... so Seokjin, seeing as you're a CEO apparently, I want a position at your company when this is over." he announced, leaving both Yoongi and Aurora starstruck at the proposal.
Leaning back in his chair, Seokjin gave a shrug, "Sure, you can have the entire company if you'd like."
Yoongi choked on his saliva, "Wait what!?!"
"Yep." Seokjin spoke bluntly, crossing his legs, "I know you're all ditching your educations for this, so seeing as you're doing that much, I'll give you my company... all of you."
Aurora was next to speak up, "But what about you!?"
Seokjin simply chuckled, "I only positioned myself on earth to watch over the elements." he gave a small smile, "I'll travel elsewhere in the universe." he explained, voice laced with his foreign accent as he spoke.
Yoongi gave a shrug, "Well, I ain't complaining."
"Yoongi~" Aurora hissed, slapping him against the shoulder for his remark.
Straightening himself up again, Yoongi ruffled his hair, "Anyways, Seokjin." he spoke earning the male's attention, "What's our next move?"
Biting down on his lower lip, Seokjin gave a sheepish smile, "Well you see... this is where it gets tricky." he began to explain, earning a raised brow from Aurora.
"How so?" she piped up
Clearing his throat, Seokjin continued, "Well, all of us just happened to be residing here in Seoul, the others is where it gets tricky." he spoke, tracing a finger against the dinning room table to help make sense of it all, "One is a bit of a roamer... he moves around a lot throughout Korea." he spoke up, earning a nod from the rest of the group, "The other is located down south, more in the country, isolated almost... and the last-" Seokjin paused, cutting his own words short as he pondered.
The only sounds that could be heard through the silence was the faint sizzle of the frying pan from the kitchen and the hammering of rain outside as it landed against the rooftops of the city buildings.
Seokjin sucked in a breath, "Do you mind if I take a look at that book again?" he spoke up, pointing towards the leather book sitting idle at the corner of the table.
Aurora gave a small nod, "Sure." she said unsurely, reaching across to snatch the book before sliding it over to Seokjin, "My plan was for you to have a look at it again anyways," she began to speak, watching as Seokjin turned over the front cover. Leaning across to the male, she pointed a finger at the faint initials scribbled over the bottom of the page. "Do you maybe know a k.n?"
And those were the words that triggered Seokjin's heart to drop.
Eyes falling to the black ink sprawled neatly against the bottom of the page, he was surprised he overlooked the initials in the beginning. He could do nothing but stare open mouthed, brain formulating no thoughts other then to register that he was shocked. He closed his mouth, then looked at his lap before glancing back up to meet Aurora's eyes. "I- um..." he paused before he continued,
"I think luck is on our side."
