Back in the abandoned building, a team was sent in search of Gano and Douglas, half an hour had passed and despite efforts better than best they hadn't found them "Hey Don! Over there!" one of the soldiers called out to his partner "Let's try to pry this elevator door open on more time, they both were surprised when it opened and in more of a shock when they looked up. 

The only two guys missing from their unit were dangling overhead on hooks as they looked, hanging limp they feared the worst"Ramirez!! Rodriguez!!" one of them shouted, rushing over to detach them, all precautions were taken as they were laid down so their current condition could be assessed. 

Trained in first aid they knew the first thing to do was to make sure they were alive, getting ready to get on both knees and cheek Don's partner was an emotional wreck "Check for a pulse! Check for a pulse!!" pressing fingers against neck, and laying his he saw no rise and fall in either chest "Oh man. We gotta get these guys help.."  taking a man each and sling ing them over shoulder they were unprepared for what happened next as  lights in the building flickered soon all they was black. 

Getting up Gano had already reset his heart's rhythm and pulse to normal, reaching over, he awaited with bated breath after deliver a set of shocks as he held his palm over Douglas' chest. Leaning over and drawing closer to inspect, he was caught off guard and decked. 

Douglas looked down at him incensed "Ah" Gano rubbed his bruised cheek "Next time I'll give you a heads up" Douglas looked down at his knuckles and back at Gano's face with an indent "Not gonna lie, feeling kind of proud of myself and yeah...next time I'd appreciate a heads up.." Gano and Douglas carried the two men, using his powers Gano stepped on the basement floor where they were at and brought the elevator back down. 

Walking over he forced open a door, pulling apart a pipe gas started to leak, all it took was spark or two before the building to start catching on fire "C'mon Douglas, give me your guy" he looked back before they departed admiring his work "Now I can get out of here" Building blacked out, an order was given for everyone to evacuate. 

Once he Douglas arrived outside they both were glad to see fire fighters behind all the armed forces as they blending. Acting as if they were in a rush they found an ambulance, bypassing protocol expected of two military men "Woah. Woah. Woah." an EMT greeted them in back of an ambulance "Sure you want to bring those guys here?"  Without permission Douglas and Gano climbed in. 

Both EMTs looked at each other and nodded in agreement-with all this chaos going on there was no time to hesitate- they had to save as many lives as possible. Gano and Douglas handed both men over, as they were strapped in. One EMT went back up front to see if they could get in touch with someone who could give them clarification on the matter at hand. 

This proved to be a mistake soon as they turned their head, a touch on the back of the neck was all it took for Gano to render them unconscious-Gano made sure no harm came to the person catching them as they fell. The other EMT was petrified, unable to move or make a sound, nothing came to mind as they were frozen with fear. 

Walking over and leaning forward Gano whispered in their ear "Don't be scared, just drive me this address listed on my phone, time is of essence for us both...precious seconds are heart beats and life gone to waste...no telling how much of it there is left for those men over there" swallowing spit and drawing shallow breath, fear gripped them so tight they could hardly speak or move. 

Backing up off them Gano stepped aside, inviting them to seat in the driver's seat "Go on" his tone was seductive and alluring "Nobody can do it but you.." Out the blue feeling compelled, he turned on the sirens and lights and pressed his foot down on the gas.

 Keeping up the villain act Gano started to clap his hands in applause "There you go!! Amazing! See you can do it! The only one for the job!" Sirens blaring, everyone cleared as the vehicle backed up and sped off before anyone on the scene could process or react.  

It didn't take long for Cassian to draw attention, in an almost immediate response, having lost track of Gano and Douglas now all military and police forces were concentrated on him. Captain Zeke was an old veteran having survived many natural incidences and made it from plenty wars- this was not his first encounter with extraterrestrial forces or the unknown but it was the strangest. 

Fiddling with his earpiece, he brought up his Comm to his mouth and relayed a message to for his men to cease and ceasefire-the target in the name of saving lives had to change "Attention, Team Swat, Team Alpha, Team Blue, Return and Rendevouz at Point A, Return and Rendezvouz at Point A...." sporting a pair of sunglasses on his face, he crushed them in his hand, and throw them on the ground. 

Stomping on them, his anger had reached boiling point and his skin turned red "So this is how it ends!?" he yelled to no one in particular  'Get called in, follow protocol to exact tee,  and everything still burns down to the ground, how's that fair!!' he thought to himself keeping up dirt in frustration. 

Pinching his nose, his skin color returned to normal, and his posture relaxed 'Anyways, valor is both sword and shield in times of crisis ...in the end many men meet death.....it's how you you face that determines who you truly are when that moment is upon you and starts closing in...' 

"Yo!" Gano yelled in exhilaration "Right here!"  Gan shouted as they came to a stop; pushing peddle to meddle, running several red lights, and becoming allergic to brakes, it'd taken less than four minutes to reach their destination-the entrance to The Old Abandoned Train Station. 

Everyone within arms reach that needed to be, his fingers were tuned to the exact voltage needed to tap each person over their heart and tap them back into steady rhythm "Of course they were never in any real danger" he smirked in response to the driver's stare and snarl  "Just made sure their pulse was at a rate machines couldn't detect" Doulas tugged on his sleeve urging them to move on "Been a great help to us, if we pull this off and save everyone you can have  whole share.." doors  swinging open Gano used his powers to carry he and Douglas downstairs. 

By the time the EMT and other soldiers had come to they were long gone, and too busy dealing with the disoriented soldiers to give pursuit. 

Gano electromagnetism carried them to the bottom and soon as feet touched solid ground they stared in amazement and awe "Oh man. That's not a little engine" Gano's mouth agape, they beheld and take in every  bit of beauty to be found as  took in the sight of  the matte' black old style locomotive  "This!" Douglas' jaw dropped incredulous "This was your plan! An out of commission bullet train!" Douglas started pacing back and forth. 

 Gano held up his hand forcing open its doors, making sure to clear out any junk and debris "Looks clear enough to me" Douglas grabbed Gano by his shirt collar "Are you mad!? Engine probably hasn't worked in years! No fuel!!How do you intent to make this thing go!?" Getting him to turn loose with a zap Gano snickered. 

 Gano wasn't in the mood for explaining so using his powers he  shoved Douglas inside and closed the doors so he was safe and sound in the train "Gano what are you-" Before he could explain Gano hopped  on top making sure to clear any obstruction as he hold both hands up. 

Green electricity could be seen shooting forth from his hand touching both rails beneath and wheels of the train. Using the other hand Gano made sure to use his powers on the train and with the wheels and rails acting as catapult his eyes glowed bright green as they shot forward at high speed. 

"Akurusa what's that prick calling for? Held up my end of the plan. Truth be told I have no use or need for association with the likes of your ilk anymore" fiddling with his trinket he on the other other side where the tracks end "Lucky for me no one comes here anymore, Place is blockaded and bunkered not to mention there's so many old cars on the racks even if they knew where I was they'd have no way to get to me anymore unless they knew about the secret entrance. 

Out of nowhere he felt a slight tremor "Hm. Bastards going crazy out there" he clenched and unclenched his hands "Amazing, with just-" he snapped his finger "-one of these I can pull a person to and fro' the land of dreams" Ground shaking beneath him, he found it a bit odd where force from shockwave was being felt "Wait a second. Those bombs were rigged to blow in event someone's rate and pulse took a dramatic shift. That was the last person under my power's affect" This he was thrown off balance and sound of something moving his way fast was starting to get picked up. 

Reaching into his trench coat he found a detonater switch "I sent those fools on an errand of death "Putting the sleep was easy and after that, I strapped C4 to the outside of each and every one of those men!! All I have to do is press this button and it's blown to sky high for not only them, but whoever dare decides to pursue me this far!! Check-" he pressed the switch "MATE!!"his voice bounced and echoed and to his shock and dismay no fireworks started yet.

Feeling something heavy and cold press against back of his neck goosebumps started blistering and making an appearance on his back "Plenty of time and plenty of life flashed before my eyes in my impromptu moment of death" this voice, he couldn't quite place it, it's one he'd heard before. 

Attempting to move, his labrum was pierced throw and his entire shoulder was nearly blown to bits "Nuh uh uh" Mayuri mad sure to grab a hold of him "Don't go. Stay" she begged "Show's bout to begin" the orange haired man couldn't believe what he was witnessing as a large matte' black locomotive rode the ceiling upside down before somehow turning right side up and docking right in front of them. 

Jaw dropping, he realized that they had power over each other and in that moment he forced Mayuri asleep, he could feel his wrist start to free and was about to about face and get the best of who snuck up on him "Idiot" he looked to his side to see Mayuri waving at him "My power affects perception of what's real and not" Mayuri explained "Don't worry orange hair your time hasn't come just yet. Give it-" looking down at an imaginary watch it wasn't long before the reason for the countdown revealed itself. 

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!"  heat, pain, his body started gyrating,  motioning about, as his skeleton was visible as Gano exited the train- intent on both shocking and torturing him to death. A sight to horrid for Douglas' eyes he turned away as Gano made sure he landed soft, safe, and sound right next to Mayuri. 

"So it's you then!! You're the cause of all this destruction and death!!" Ramie was unresponsive and had been zapped into a catatonic state "Get up!!" Gano walked up and kicked him in his side, rolling him over, he acted as a defibrillator  "WAKE UP!!" the man was seeing spots and coughing up blood. 

Vison blurred, even when something was able to come into focus, what greeted him as he regained what little sight he had left terrified him "NO!! STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!!" He could see, hear, feel walls closing in, things crawling on, in, and around, he was overcome with a sense of despair. It was too much for him, but before he could pass out again "WAHHHHHHHHHHH!!" Gano tased him, tight grip on both wrists and hands. 

Grabbing him and holding him by the tuft of his hair his teeth were grit and his caramel skin was colored with a tint of red "You want it don't you? You want sleep?? Maybe for this nightmare to end?? Sweet dreams, greener pastures, all that jazz? You'll never hear lullabies or that sweet music again, for you there's only one kind of sleep left, and before you experience you're going to tell us every little detail of Akursa's plan and then and only then-" not wanting to kill him the shock was enough just to keep him awake. 

"Then you have permission to die" 

Douglas had put in some EarPods and turned his world into white noise while Gano and Mayuri were busy tor-interrogating him. After ten minutes or see Mayuri tapped him on the shoulder, Douglas hadn't had time to look her once over, but he could see she was much worse for wear than she wanted let on. 

His suspicions were confirmed as she tripped over her own two feet and into his arms she fell "Yeah. Definitely shouldn't have left the hospital bed" Mayuri made a weak attempt to push him off "Put sliding an arm under hers he brought them both a stand "Just stop being stubborn and at least try to lean on someone else-" Douglas rolled his eyes.

Looking over at Gano and the bloodied mess of a man who they know knew as Ramie he couldn't from laughter gettin caught in his throat "Something funny?" Mayuri had a look of amusement as she side-eyed him "Yeah, for two people who started off trying to kill each other, you guys actually agree on more than one would suspect-you get along well" Mayuri blushed. 

Bile rising in her esophagus it felt like, she spit at the ground "As if!" she retorted in an incredulous tone "Me having something in common with a fool's errand loverboy like that!! Please" Gano cauterized and closed some of Ramie's wounds before walking back over to them. 

Rubbing the back of his head he broke into a sheepish grin "Maybe we went over board there!! Got some vital information but he's gonna die if we don't get to the hospital fast" Douglas' eye twitched "And you're surprised by this!?" Gano yawned "Nah. I blame you Douglas for letting Yuri and I get out of hand-jerk deserved it though." Douglas pulled up his phone ready to get in touch with the rest. 

Mayuri leaned harder on him, breasts pushing against his chest, causing Douglas to get flustered a bit-he almost dropped his phone "Seriously! Grow up a bit!!" Mayuri snapped "So we know the obvious, Akurasa's going around recruiting PSYs hoping to draw Gano out and play on your guilt complex, but that could draw ire of forces and players bigger than himself and so far that's not going according to plan-the public at large doesn't seem to hate Gano yet" Mayuri mind went into overdrive, thoughts racing. 

Douglas phone kept ringing, he found it strange no one was answering as of yet "Gano if it's public knowledge that Akurasa's in this world searching for you, he's caused all this chaos and destruction and you've been out in the open using you powers we hasn't the Council above you put a stop to you yet?" Gano scratched his head. 

Wracking his brain, no answer game "Don't know" he shoulder shrugged  "I thought it was cause I haven't killed anybody yet, but if I'm being honest about chain reaction and as a big believer in the butterfly effect all of this is my fa-" Douglas held up a hand to stop him, having put his phone away since there wasn't an answer yet.

Douglas used his free hand and started moving and wiggling his fingers around "Spider?" Douglas pursed his lips "No, marionette, I'm starting to suspect that you and Akurasa are both being strung along, there might be someone else above moving pieces and making moves in all of this-as things are Akurusa's actions in lieu of what we've been told don't make sense-he shouldn't be targeting just you so much.." A light bulb went of in Gano's idea "Oh.." 

Several tremors could be felt as Douglas did his best to keep ahold of Mayuri will he steadied himself "Hell was that?" he wondered aloud as they a looked at each other curious someone had an answer yet.  Somewhat still conscious, despite tides having turned against him Ramie forced a chuckle "Gah..ah..." he mustered with what little left he had.

That's all it took for Gano and Mayuri to level death stares at him "Fuck are you laughing about? " Gano asked, electricity crackling and sparking as he lifted up his hand. As if to answer him, a mass of texts blipped on both Mayuri and Douglas' phone "Huh?" Stomachs dropped as they both read contents of the messages they were sent. 

"No way...No way" Douglas wheezed and began to hyperventilate, footage was sent above of a barrage of missiles, gunfire, and a masses of military force being being blinked and blimped out of existence after standing in Cassian's way.

Before Mayuri could get out an accusatory  "You!" Gano had already started to started to shake Ramie in a violent manner "Who's this guy!? How do we stop him? If you don't what you went through was bad before, just wait until the hospital fixes you up so w ca-" Douglas got over there quick as possible to pry Gano away from him.

 Mayuri tugged at Gano's sleeve doing all she could to help-still exhausted from having woken up from a coma and not feeling herself "Gano stop!! Just stop!! This!! If it's your fault then it's my fault too!!" Tears started to escaped "I..I wanted this......" he started to shake, sadness and anger mixed  into one "This is real hurt!! Real pain!! There's no way to brink back and save all the people whose lives were lost!! I thought this was so cool in my mind's eye!! I wanted more than anything for the wonder and splendor of the picture my mind's imagination  painted to be brought to life!! I never though it'd end up like this!!" he closed his eyes shouting. 

"Wrong..One thing you should never regret is not giving up on your dreams" heads turning, Gano countenance had changed and his posture relaxed "If none of this happened...we would've never met and become friends...it's bonds we've made not chains..I swore when I left that world behind I thought I'd never form them, but now that I have it's something I'm not gonna allow to break!" Douglas wiped his face. 

"Tears are pearls, and your soul is more precious than shell that can found at sea-that kindness and compassion you have Douglas-hold on that" Gano put a hand on top of Douglas' head messing with his hair "I don't believe in random chance, but I spend all my time fighting against fate, but whatever it is that allowed us to meet I'm glad" Gano turned his back "Wait!" Mayuri reached out trying to wriggle out of Douglas' grip.

Mayuri's skin felt clammy and her lips felt dry "Stop!! Don't try to face that guy alone!! We can come up with a plan!" Douglas was speechless, he could tell from how Gano was acting he was about to go off alone "Hey, aren't heroes mean to save the day?" Gano chuckled. 

Turning around to face them one last time, he put a hand over his heart "On that other side, I was more akin to a special ops soldier-nothing more than a tool, I never imagined I would get the chance to follow my heart and do what I know and believe is right and true until I met all of you.." There was a hint of sadness to the small smile on his face, he closed his eyes and took a deep breathe "Dougls, Mayuri, Brook, Tess....If we meet again in this life or the next...let's have more crazy adventures....I wouldn't mind hopping on for one last ride with you all..or doing it all over again..." 

Gano started heading surface, walking away, feeling a tug on his green blazer, he didn't even turn back, a faint shock all that was needed to get Douglas off him "Gano please.." Gano held up two fingers "When a world's plunged into darkness, in order to escape that eclipse and turn that pitch black into shadow, someone has to be brave enough to carry the light-right now, I've got the next best thing-" Taking a couple steps forward, he stopped "Douglas, whatever your heart holds dear...hold onto..tight" Gano gathered electric energy, hoping to make one last spectacle and leave in a flash. 

"GRarrrrhhhhhhhhhh!!" he let out a violent visceral velociraptor yell as he gathered and let loose electricity, however instead of green the full color spectrum could bee seen-red, yellow, blue-the whole rainbow. A burst of light blinded Douglas and Mayuri both and as the sparks released in a kaleidoscope of color by the time they were able to look Gano was gone leaving glittering sparks in the air along with parting words "Until next time...Love you guys.."  

As Gano saw light at tunnel's end, he took his first step outside"Tess" he snickered remembering their first meeting "Brook" images of watching Space Avengers played in his mind "Mayuri" he shuddered at the thought of facing her afterwards if he survived "Douglas..." his heart strings were tugged and pulled, and a pang of regret pierced deep into his heart as green electricity enveloped his being "My brother...in more ways than one....It's a different connection we share.." he looked up at the sky with a wistfulness he that he'd left behind long ago "Frank...Ameille...you won't be taken from us again.."

 Walking into  broad daylight one last thought crossed his mind, looking to his side he could've swore for a brief song a familiar face greeted him he thought he'd never see again "Very funny Universe. There you go making me again" rubbing his eyes, he took a look again, the only thing greeting him-empty city streets. 

Feeling overwhelmed and burdened by all the worries that plagued him at that moment, he buried his face into his hands and let out an anguished scream "Still..." he looked up-despite how terrible the day was-clouds cleared and gave way to a  blue sky. 'This is what it means..calm before the storm...'

"This is all I need, seems no attention's being paid to me, I'm going to need every last bit of energy to have a chance to put this guy away." door forced open, the car was push start, climbing in Gano put on his seatbelt, looking down he saw a can of his favorite drink "Ooo! They Caramel Blue!!" Finding a car to hijack Gano fond fortune in his favor "Didn't even have to prop the door open. 

In the driver's seat, he started messing with wires as sparks flew and the care roared to life "Alright!! Been awhile since I got to drive and with no nags around and no one to enforce the speed limit. I can make this baby go fast it can!! WOOOOOOOOO!!" Tires screeching marks left in its wake, the collision course between an unstoppable force and immovable object began. 

Reporters and civilians gathered in front of the lawn as The President arrived at the podium ready to give his address "Everyone...calm down...calm down...Listen!" his voice was an authoritative baritone,  waiting until all cameras were trained on him and he had the audience's full attention as he settled in "You've seen footage, read reports, and caught wind through internet socials about  what's occurring-we can no longer run nor hide from what's true-life from far beyond has taken residence on this planet we call home" he brought up his arms up and then down as an uproar started amongst the unsettled ground. 

Stepping back and folding his arms they continued on, until finally had had enoug "Please! Please!" The President the mic made a noise that was nails on chalkboard "Let me finish informing!!  Then once I let you in the know on what's going on then I'll do my best when it comes to every question you want answered,  and concern you have!!" the room fell into a hush and quieted down. 

Clearing his throat, he got ready to speak again "It's been known for quite some time-I mean we've had sci-fi since the sixties- that there was potential for life other than ours to exist. The good new is that not all these life-forms are hostile and we've made contact with those from not our world years before, but as we hope and pray for the safety of denizens of New Arcadia it has to be made clear-wanton violence and destruction will not be tolerated" he took a pause hoping to choose his next words carefully. 

 Taking at his handkerchief he wiped sweat off his bro "My son came to me the other day, he fell down a hole and needed to be rescued out, so the guys arrive..and I can hear my little boy crying...so throwing caution to wind I jump right down there.....he goes 'Dad! Dad!! Why'd you jump down here too' while crying and sniffling...'Aren't you claustrophobic..isn't that your worst fear? I'm sorry..' I grab him and took into my arms and I tell him 'Son I've found a fear I fear even worse than claustrophobia...losing you.." he looked around the room. 

He smiled and pointed to the sky "Courage is not the absence of fear, courage is pushing past whatever shadows are cast because we know there's something precious and much more behind it...In time like this there's know such thing as absence of fear, but know that with all my heart I'm telling you know courage will find you...." 

Douglas stared at where'd Gano left not having, neither he nor Mayuri had budged an inch "Dougie..." Mayuri spoke in as soft and gentle tone as she could "Douglas. We've gotta go..." Phone ringing, Douglas looked down and answered, he felt lost and deserted more than he'd ever been. 

In fact he only answered because of the name and number that popped onscreen"Dad?" his father was frantic on the other end "Doug! Dougie!! Douglas!! Son why haven't you been answering your phone!? Where are you? Are you okay?" he could hear Aunt Rain and his mother in the background asking the same questions speaking over one another"Yeah..I'm fine...I guess.." Douglas answered, right now he found it hard to think. 

Nothing could be heard for several seconds before his father spoke again "Son, I've seen some footage and photos so don't lie..that green-haired main flying around and zipping through sky-is that your friend?" Douglas sighed, feeling his chest tighten. 

Taking his answer as a non-answer his father returned Douglas' sight with one of his won "Figures" his father "That's...a bit disappointing..I'm not gonna lie...you've got a lot to explain.." Douglas' father  trailed off "Yes sir." Douglas answered "Are you somewhere safe? Orders have been given to evacuate and whatever you're wrapped up in- there's a crazy downtown making everything disappear-it's armageddon" Douglas remained silent. 

Back at home, Frank's knuckles turned white gripping his phone and his mouth formed a thin line, in a way-Douglas' non-answer was an answer, his became shaky"Son come home, maybe there's  there's not-" Douglas " I have to!! I have to do something!! The part I'm playing can't be through!! I won't let it end this way!! Not like that! Not whe-" Douglas knew had to stop himself, least he reveal too much. 

His father's tone was stern and even when he spoke again "Son, I'm more familiar with what's going on here than you know, that battle out there's between two giants-there's nothing any of us can do" Douglas balled up his fists. "Trust me, there are things that only I can do"  Frank's blood ran cold catching on to what his son said. 

 Conversation going on to long for her liking Douglas' mother butted in"Frank!"Douglas' mother rushed over "Our son!? Is he okay!?? Douglas can you hear me!? Wherever you are, come back home now!!" Frank nudged his wife a bit in hopes to be given space. 

Phone buzzing texts were come en masse to his phone, checking them, it seemed to be Tess and Brook giving him updates " Mom..Dad...I'll explain everything when I see you.....I'm going to be okay...sorry for not telling you guys the truth....Love you....make sure tell Mom and Aunt Rain..." knowing he'd only try to convince him to come home Douglas hung up the phone. 

 Mayuri's gaze softened as their eyes met and she turned away "So what do we do now?" Stiffening and standing up Mayuri got her legs back under her as a look of determination took place of depression on her face "We move forward in case Gano fails, it's more orange left to squeeze-green haired didn't want to kill this trash so we'll have to bring him in see what we can dive and find in what's left of his brain" Douglas was afraid to let Mayuri go, unsure if she was putting on a front. 

Walking over he found strength he didn't know he had, slinging Ramie over his shoulder he made to grab Mayuri's hand he quickly drew away "What're you doing man?" Douglas blinked his eyes "Maybe you have recovered some, okay then, since my ride rode off into the sunset, you're gonna have to show me the way. Now that think about-" Mayuri cut him off "I took care of his goons on the way, and the person's mind we dove into had trailed this idiot down here almost all the way" Mayuri gestured, pointing at Ramie. 

Douglas couldn't help from stifling a laugh "What!?" Mayuri looked him up and down "Now, just acting all mean and stand-offish, with all this weird stuff going on it's good to see you acting like yourself" Mayuri made to pull out her gun, but then thought better of it "Just c'mon..it's a short ways up top if we go the way I came in..." Douglas kept ringing and as he looked at the caller ID it took everything within every fiber of his being not to answer. 

 Frank "I understand" he chuckled to himself, taking off his glasses getting sent to voicemail again "Time comes-right or wrong-where a man's decisions and consequences are his own-" he rubbed his forehead "Douglas just know no matter what happens, the most extraordinary miraculous thing I've had the joy of witnessing in my life-is you." Frank choked up a bit but continued on.

 Frank squeezed his wife's hand for comfort after she placed it on his arm "I really mean that son .Love you and take care." passing off his phone to his wife-it was her turn. "For some reason I'm not mad-" Frank couldn't believe his ears "I'm not disappointed either, I am worried..very worried..." his mother trailed off lost in though "Then again, from what I've seen this friend of yours is more than capable, so if you're under his protection...." she groaned in frustration "That's leaving too much to chance!" Filled with fury her voice rose an octave "A mother's job is to love! A mother's job is to nurture!! A mother's job is to protect!! But truth be told-" Sighing she cast a look over shoulder at Aunt Rain brewing tea. 

 Moments before her sister was frantic as she was, but now she was humming along in perfect tune to one of her and Douglas' favorite songs"Your Aunt Rain took on the brunt of that, and hasn't broken a sweat... or shed a tear..I suppose a mother's job is also to believe-" a feeling of warmth filled  entered her heart sending it fluttering about  "So I believe you'll come back and I believe in you til'  the very end-I you're doing the right thing. Just know this is always a place you can come back." As Aunt Rain continued making tea as the kettle whistled Frank and his wife weren't sure, but they could've sworn they heard her cry. 

People were attempting to flee in vain, even military and members of the police force opting to  fight another day. Cassian's special ability meant it was nigh-impossible for him to be stopped, He could feel object-material and immaterial- and as soon as he felt that tingle at his mind's edge all it took was thought and POOF-you were gone. 

Despite doing all they could to escape, he made short work of the whole block, and n seconds all trace of life was gone"SKIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!" he shrieked, letting out a cry "That's it!? You're all gone!? Where's the challange!!!? Does not count as an invitation!? Surely there's someone out there that can make me feel love!"  looking skyward, hoping for heaven to reply, it seems his prayers were answered as   a flurry of flying light poles, cars, tanks, and grenades came at him from all directions.

Cassian couldn't help himself, his pupils dilated and his heart started to pound"Oh!? You're here!!" licking his lips in excitement, he started smiling til' his face hurt, showing off his shark-like teeth "Walking right into your demise!! Akurasa was right about you!!  What a guy! What a guy!" Arms flailing in a wild manner, he made the incoming projectiles disappear, however this played into Gano's hands, acting as a feint so he could as he shot electricity  at Cassian a safe distance away.

 What Cassian failed to notice were the grenades lying down at his feet, unable to react fast enough, he couldn't stop them from  going up in smoke and was pushed back from the   subsequent explosion. Disoriented and covered in smoke Gano decided to go on offense, knowing he had to keep him distracted he used his powers on specks of sand trace metal, maing sure it got into Cassian's eyes "RAH!" Cassian reeled his head back "DAMN!" he roared in pain "Dumbass! Those tactics won't work, You can't defeat me with CHEAP TRICKS!!" smoke cleared in an instant, it took him only a second to realize Gano's plan. 

'His range...he's nowhere near....his moving things around and trying to judge mine...this guy's smart.. I can feeling things but it's impossible at times to tell whether something's animal, object, or man...if I walk over there and clear ground and there's nothing in the sky then-'  It became clear to Cassian he was a second too late as felt something breach surface from underground. 

Before his mind could trigger his power a green bolt of lighting  struck Cassian, Gano made sure to aim right for his chest "Sorry about that...I'm not one to kill, but it seems you might be too dangerous to live!!" Gano shouted,  making sure to pump enough voltage into Cassian to shock him to death. 

Letting his inhibitions and reservations about killing go, he poured his everything into what he hoped to be his final attack "Aftermath be damned, I'll do whatever it takes to save them!!" screaming, he could see smoke start to rise as Cassian's clothes went up in flames. Deciding enough was enough and feeling the heat, Gano's skin was starting to turn red and he was covered in sweat. 

Approaching his limit he decided enough was enough and let up his attack, dropping to one knee, he had no intention of looking up until terror seized him and he heard the worst possible sound "Grek Grek Grek" Cassian was caught between a hiccup and laugh " Greak Grek Grek" Gano heart skipped a beat "No...No way.." he kept his eyes on the ground. 

Cassian smoldering shirt, jacket, and pants were burnt to a crips, his body was scalded over as well, saving him from certain death was a device he was wearing underneath attached to his chest "That white-haired bastard!! So that's why outfitted me with this!! And to think me and Death were finally going to have that dance. Seems it's always like this-someone spoiling and ruining my fun..." Cassian seemed to be frowning a bit. As he took in Gano's condition it turned into a scowl. 

Cassian sighed lifting up his hand "Seems our fun is over, hate Akurasa ruined it for both of us, but I can sense it-your limit's been reached"  'Douglas-' Gano's eyes closed accepting his fate 'Sorry..'  "Those eyes-" Cassian took a good look at Gano as he lifted his head up "Those are eyes that also seek death" Cassian's face instead of twisting and contorting relaxed " I remember when my eyes were like that, if you truly seek to catch up to that desire I know you hold in your heart-" Cassian paused for a second. 

'I'm sorry..' Gano saw his life flash before his eyes, as he finished that thought  Cassian gave him a wink, and just like that he was gone "You'll find a way to come back" turning his back Cassian felt a strong gust of wind, facing the direction it was blowing in from, it seemed to be going against "So is it going to be like that? I think I'd enjoy it then.." a sudden longing for destruction and despair, Cassian could feel impulse and urge return to him 'Close, but I've waited too to long to settle for that..' stalking off in direction of the hospital he knew to find true challenge he'd have take care of what little New Arcadia had left. 

At the airport there was jostling amongst the crowd-people were desperate in attempt to catch an emergency flight out of town-In midst of that crowd a young woman with raven hair and lavender eyes felt a sharp stabbing pain below her left breast "Not now...." she muttered under her breath. 

 Vision blurring, her heart skipped a beat and she found she had a sudden headache. 'This feeling-', veins in her neck became visible 'It's a feeling I've felt before.." bumping into a random person in the crowd it was lucky for they were concerned. 

Losing balance, she started swaying about "M'am" a random person took notice that she was in distress "M'am what's wrong?" Taking her by the arm, the person put their arm up under and around-doing there best to help her walk "Oh my" placing a hand on her forehead, the  found she was developing a fever "This isn't good at all, just wait a minute..I'll get you some help" Filled with resolve, care, and concern their fellow man,  the person braved and pushed past the crowd.  'This....' the young woman's vision began to blur 'This feels like someone's shot me through their heart....did something happen to-' body gone limp, the sudden weight almost caused both of them to collapse "Gano" after that everything went black.

Douglas stopped, it was as if cold entered his chest "Woah" Douglas almost fell out starting to feel light-headed,  Mayuri  repaying the favor from earlier was able to grab him by the arm and steady him "Yuri...do you think....we probably should've heard from Gano.... but we haven't yet...." trembling and shaking, his mind was coming close to concluding a truth his heart couldn't handle yet. 

Mayuri felt something similar, but knowing there were things that still needed to be done, decided not to have time to care "No Douglas, it's gonna take awhile to finish...for all we know they may haven't even got started yet. Now come on!" Mayuri couldn't react in time as curiosity got its kill as Douglas pulled out his phone to see what could be gathered from current events. 

"No" What he saw sent him into spiral "No!!" he dropped his phone, screen cracking as it replayed earlier, Mayuri refused to watch, already knowing the outcome "Douglas...Douglas..Douglas.." Mayuri called out as he broke down into a blubbering mess "WE don't have time for that!!" Soft sobbing continued "Fine. I'll do it myself, walking over she chopped him in the back of the neck and slung him over her back. 

Eyes watering and stinging, she held everything back "A fool's errand..he met a fool's end....I've never been one for sentiment-" Mayuri took a long look back "So for both of us I'll take revenge!" Walking over to Ramie she drug him by his collar; fury fueled, her body was starting to tire and fatigue 'No...' an image flashed right before Mayur's eyes 'Not again!' Powers out of whack, as she took a glance she could see Derrick and Gano both walking ahead 'Again! But this time I won't let Akurasa win!' 

Musera was driving and almost crashed, using her powers to keep tabs, Isla took one look and nothing else needed to be said "We're too late" It was neither question nor statement of fact, in truth it was something Isla said in hopes that someone or something would challenge or contradict.  Yoshino looked out, it started to rain out the blue as grey clouds gathered overhead "Yosh" riding backseat he started out the window through the pane as rain stuck to the glass. 

It started to Thunder "Yosh-" Isla attempted to comfort him "I can't feel it...I can't feel his wind..it seems Akurasa's had his way yet again.." Musera's whole demeanor changed, try as she might she couldn't hear the music now-only silent screams..echoes of violence.  Isla wrinkled her nose "No time to mourn yet guys. All we can do is put a stop to that creep Akurasa let loose. That's the only way we can avenge him now" Isla's tone was  a matter of fact. 

Yoshino looked forward, Thunder starting to quiet and the winds not blowing as strong, still there was an occasional flash of lightning in the sky "Keep that up-" Isla looked back "And he'll know we're coming now.." A gust of wind blew, almost pushing them into the next lane. 

Musera foot rested heavy on gas, they were going well over hundred miles now, picking up speed, they were only fifteen minutes or so from town "Yoshino remember what you said about Akurusa's wind" Yoshino looked at Musera, but she knew he was looking through her now. 

Musera cackled "Ha!! I guess that bastard's going to get his chance now"  Musera spoke in an icy tone . In addition to ran, it also started to hail " Akurusa's wind was always sad, wistful, there was an apathy and melancholy-as if he was already through with life now....I'm glad" Yoshino let out a maniacal laugh "Pff...tffff..Pff.. tf ff.." Isla was unsettled "Yosh?" Yoshino just continued laughing "Yes that's good...he's already forfeited his life so now that he's taken Gano's I can have no hesitation in paying him in kind now!!" Face twisting into a sneer, the hair stood up on Isla's neck 'Yeah. They're out for blood now. Can throw making up a plan out the window...'

Gano started coming to and despite being prepared to meet his end, instead of heaven or hell, he found himself in a void of sorts "Wait? I'm not dead?" Gano eyes opening to, all he could see was  a haze of purple, it was hard to describe where he was, but everything seemed to be reverberating and moving in waves "So where the hell is here now?" Gano knew first thing first was to move his limbs "Okay, so I'm floating and swimming, like an ocean..or maybe space?" Using his powers, he found it a lot easier to move again. A giggle could be heard, desperate for human contact, he tapped into his mind and did his best to move in that direction once whoever it was heard again. 

A light shined bright, radiating and illuminating this strange space he was in. It was then that a girl appeared before him:  lavender hair, gold cufflinks, strapped sandals, gold bracelets, and a silver  tiara none worse for wear. 

Gano's face lit up  "Anastya'  " Gano felt his face with his hands "It's been so long, I haven't see you sin-" she raised a hand to silence him, lavender eyes piercing his soul-he could tell she was upset. "Since what? I let you convince me to kidnap Sayoko and wip her memories away" she scoffed "And you still haven't found The Oracle, do you think it's allowed? Me rescuing you from time and space?" Gano took a look around: cars, people, birds, trees, particles of oxygen, and molecules of water stuck along with air, all touched by Cassian's 'gift' ended up there. 

Gano looked at Anastya and scratched his head "Where are we again?" Anastya facepalmed  "Did you bump your head!!  Bested in combat by a ruffian like him!! Letting down your family and friends!!! Blowing cover and ruing our plans!" huffing and puffing she continued to fume "Then again without all pieces on the board, can we even say the games started yet?" Anaysta ran fingers through har hair. 

Lost in thought, she snapped back when Gano grabbed his head and let out a yell "AHHHHHHH!! Screw that!! That guy cheated! I need a second round with him!!"   Anasstya' couldn't help from a ball of lavender energy at him, lucky for Gano he dodged "Hey" Gano shot a glare "Send me back now!! I'm tired of playing this game!!" Anastya yawned in response.  

Gano almost yawned before catching himself, grabbing his hand "Didn't you say you can send me back!! C'mon on then!!" Gano folded his hands and bowed his head begging and pleading "Silence" a jolt of lavender electricity shocked him, causing him a bit of pain as he let out a scream "AH!!Okay! Okay!!" he threw up his hands in defeat. 

Eyes glowing, Anastya appeared disgusted and done with him "This is something I can only do one time, and before that you need to know Cassian's power's true nature, its strength and weakness, and the secrets behind Akurusa's plan.." Anastya lectured. 

Eyes narrowing, tapped his foot impatient "Yeah..Yeah..On with it.." Annastya' became sombre as she spoke to him  "Cassian's ability has a frightening nature: it not only sends whatever he wills to a this  distorted time and space, but this realm in between something and nothing is not one that already exists-it's one his power's created." 

Gano got a pitiful feeling in the pit of his stomach  "So if I go out and put an end to him will all this people come back?" Anastya didn't dignify his question with a response merely looking back at him "Well, alright then..so that's how it is.." Gano looked down at his hands "Before I can send you back to the world again I must tell you the depth of Akurusa's plan, what he's really after, it's yet to reveal itself" Anastya made contact with Gano's mind, using her power she revealed mental images- it was a great deal of knowledge, and if not for her help processing it= it would've proved too much for him. 

Approaching city limits, Musera slowed down as the were right on the precipice of one of their greatest challenges yet "So what's the plan? We're almost here" Musera announced, Isla looked back at Yoshino "Anything in that head?" Yoshino answer became quite clear as everything was covered in mist. 

Isla sighed "Seems cruel fate is going to make a murder of me yet again "Yoshino stay skyward just in case you have to do you know what again. On the ground, Musera and I are going to try to take that bastard ourselves-and hopefully there are no casualties to come"  Isla, Muse, and Yoshino all looked at each other and nodded heads. 

Isla noticed Yoshino start to smile and despite current circumstance this filled her with joy  oy "Yosh.." she looked back face aglow "Why?" Yoshino's laid back and rested his eyes " Happiness is fleeting, akin to holding a baby bird in one's hand-as time passes  eventually you'll have to learn to let go-the beauty lies in the memory of what you had...and in that memory it'll always be something you have..." looking up Musera could see a ray of sunlight peak through the storm. 

Eyes on the road Musera knew after this next sing there was no turning back "Not a man of words?" she teased, causing Yoshino to raise an eyebrow "Ironic coming from you" he teased back. 

 Musera eyes rolled, looking ahead since they took to the road "I suppose so..I suppose so..." Looking up at the sky as lightning flashed, in the blue of that lightning, Musera swore she saw hints of pink and a tinge of green. 

"Mr. President!" having walked back into the Ivory House where he stayed he was greeted by a member of his Undercover Service "What?" Eyes hidden behind shades, he could tell by the wrinkles and lines forming in his face the news wasn't good "It's New Arcadia, General Grip has bypassed your authority and launched a missile strike to neutralize the target" he grabbed the many by the collar "HE DID WHAT!!" a single vein in his temple started to show itself. 

 His shouting could be heard down the hall, but truth be told he didn't really care" "Does he not realize all those residents will be caught in radius of the blast!? Is he crazy!" he brought his tone down to a loud whisper "Was my message relayed to our Special Agent on the ground!? Did they have any contact at all!?" His agent's silence spoke volumes and told all he needed to know "My God-" grabbing his head, he felt a fainting spell coming on. 

His agent caught in his arms before he could hit the ground "Mr. President sir!! Please! You've gotta stay strong!Tell us what to do next!?" keeping a firm grip, he held him up til' his sense of self was regained "Nothing" he shook his head "All that can be down now is to pray-only a miracle can save us now..Get me on the phone with him at least...his reason better be damn good for this..." 

"Damn it c'mon! I gotta make it in time!" Mayuri  had hot wired and broken into the first vehicle available- a silver corvette'. Having strapped Douglas in the passenger side, their captive was laid flat  backseat . Swerving between two cars about to crash head on, Mayuri spun the steering wheel allowing the car to tail spin "Keep flirting with death and it might getcha'" Douglas began to stir  wake"Yuri, did-" Mayuri placed a finger on his lips. 

Silencing Douglas, she knew what question he was going to ask, and not only did she not have an answer for him, she didn't have an answer for herself "Whatever lies beyond, whatever happens later, to live and die in a way those closest to our hearts are proud of  is the most important thing- right now I can't give you more than that" Douglas' mouth formed a thin line.

Douglas took Mayuri hand into his "Mayuri...I understand.." turning onto the street, the hospital parking garage was a straight shot "Still a light military-police presence around "So we'll have to sneak in, sucks we don't have any to help us dodge bullets this time, then again as long as that freak is out there who cares" Mayuri grunted feeling not healed wounds opening again, throwing caution to wind, she  decided to floor once more.

Pulling into the parking garage within seconds, Mayuri hopped at first "Douglas! Grab Mr. Hypno backseat and toss him over your shoulder!! He doesn't have much time left!!" Knowing she was on brink of exhaustion he did as she said   "Is he going to be okay?" Before slanging him over his shoulder he felt the man's pulse-it was much weaker than fifteen minutes ago before he passed out.  

Fatigue was about to overtake Mayuri and she was starting to limp, still she found second wind "Hurry up!" sprinting til' both were out of breath they arrived at an elevator in an obscure location in that floor's corner "Swiped a keycard from a hospital worker on my way out, this is an emergency exit,  but we should have no problems getting in and meeting back up with the rest" Blood escaped from her mouth as  Mayuri broke into a coughing fit. 

Anxiety and apprehension apprehended him as Douglas rushed over to her side "Idiot!! We're at a hospital now!! Don't worry about me!" Douglas laid Ramie down, and tossed Mayuri on his back "I'll never accept prioritizing an enemy over those I consider precious friends-I don't care what we can learn from him!!" Mayuri cupped his cheek before digging her manicured nails into his flesh. 

 Leaning forward, Douglas blushed unsure of what was happening next "Dumbass" Looking at him with a fondness he'd never seen her look at him, she let her fingers linger before passing out "You know, she actually looks kind of cute like that" Douglas observed as Mayuri finally allowed herself to rest-hair frazzled and covered in blood-in a twist of irony her face had never looked more innocent and angelic before 'Brook, Tess...and him....yeah...he'd love to get a picture of this...' Knowing he he had no time to spare ass the elevator door opened he stepped right in. 

 Unbuckling his seatbelt, Yoshino swung open his door, released from gravity's shackles, he took flight, allowing himself to be carried by the wind "It's been a while" Yoshino tuned out everything, save for sound of the gentle breeze carrying him "A pleasure to make your acquaintance again.."  As Musera and Isla entered the city, a crowd of panicked people flooded the streets  "Must not be far from here" Musera silenced the noise of the people impending and stampeding in order to narrow down Cassian's location. 

 Putting the car in park, she unlocked the door preparing to step out"Yeah, that's gotta be him..I'll run interference for a bit, you and Yoshino need to get them out of here-They'll be in the way" Isla got out right after her "Alright" Isla made sure to text Yoshino and relay the message before he got too far "Alright, good thing I did my stretches this morning-" Many of the people running soon found themselves floating and swinging wild about mid-air. 

Isla flashed a toothy grin as many of the people started panicking "Sorry about that, I'm sure...well you probably won't understand..still all aboard the YI EXPRESS!!" Shouting that last part, Isla altered gravity once more, making everyone's new orbit her,  Yoshino  arrived allowing the wind to carry him back down to where they were "Yosh need your help evacuating these innocents!! Then we can move forward with the plan!! Musera said she'd stall!!"  Musera gave a thumbs up and offered a two fingered salute before waving bye. 

Isla didn't stop looking until she was too far off in the distance for eyes to catch"Be safe ya' purple-haired idiot" Isla murmured aloud, tossing her long brown mane back,Isla took a strand of it and formed a  single bang hanging down her face "Almost forget to do my hair. Alright now I'm ready Yosh!!"  Wind picking up, people were scooped and carried up into a powerful gust as Isla and Yoshino carried them away intending to drop them a safe distance from where the fighting was going to be. 

Not many forces were left stand between Cassian and the people and buildings left populating New Arcadia downtown, many of theme were mere grunts and foot soldiers low on the chain of command, still with valor in their hearts and knowing a last stand was better than no stand they stood their ground "He's coming this way men!! Aim all sights on target and get ready to fire!!" an officer communicated with his comrades in arms. 

An ambushed had been staged with rocket launchers, snipers, and gatling gun turrets hidden within buildings "From observation, the subject's almost been hit and taken by surprise a few times! If we can find a delay in his reaction we've got this won!!" Cassian felt his dominion over his power expand, and flashed a shark-like grin "Teh. So that's how it is, I can feel traces from that far out...so that's how he took me by surprise" Cassian mused aloud furrowing his brow.

 A tingling in his finger tips and tippy toes alerted him despite being a good distance away, he knew...no he felt many somebodies near-killing content coming from them in waves 'Good' he thought to himself, not a split second later a loud "FIRE!" was heard off in the distance as sent every round of artillery they had left.  Not having time to react he reeled back his power and visualized and focused it in the shape of a dome.

Missiles, bullets, grenades, darts, and arrows all disintegrated into nothing as hope drained from the town's last defenses ' eyes "Oh-" Cassian eyes opened wide  "So what can contract, must also EXPAND!!" letting his imagination run wild, his power' reach was greater than before and despite their best attempts to run, everything in the immediate area ceased to be.

Taking a long and deep breath, he decided just in case in anyone was  listening or watching he had something to announce "DON'T YOU GET ITTTTT!! HAVEN'T YOU INSIGNIFICANTS GOT IT THROUGH THOSE SKULLS OF YOURS NOW!! YOU'RE ANTS!! MY POWERS THE MAGNIFYING GLASS!! AND GUESS WHO'S THE SUN!" looking off in the distance Cassian saw a long soldier he missed. 

 Spotting Cassian spot him, the  soldier glanced down at a lock he wore every mission, opening it up the inside had the date he married his wife and the day his daughter was born engraved  "Tracy, Tish, Azura...I'm sorry" his legs cramped and ached and his stride developed a hitch as adrenaline pumped through his blood he made a last ditch effort to run. Cassian' looked off in the distance almost amused by the soldier's pathetic attempt "Well I missed one, will you loo at that.." For some reason or another Cassian found no interest in getting rid of the man and decided to let him go. 

Viewing him off in the distance with a pair of binoculars, it seemed for a few minutes at least, Cassian was giving things a rest "Expending that much energy he's gonna need a little time to recoup before he can use his power again, if IIsla and Yoshino make it back in time this should be cinch"  Musera pinched her arm and bit the inside of her cheek "Not right now!! I won't be of any use if I start thinking about him!! Gotta worry about Leslie and her family-those he can still be saved!" A safe distance away, guessing how far Cassian's range might be, Muserra throw a punch into the air 'No matter what happens I can't lose track of him, if he gets close to the hospital I might have to take him head on...' 

Back at the hospital news of Gano hit everyone hard, Douglas had caught them up on what had transpired, Dr. Lance had assigned his top surgeons and staff to look after Mayuri and made sure recovered-insistent that no activity would be allowed til' she was at full strength again. None of them were handling Gano's demise well, as soon as Douglas told them what happened Tess slapped him-hard. 

"No!! No!" Tess' had to be held back from him "Stop lying!! That's something to joke about!!" Slapping Douglas again-this time it was the other cheek"Tess!" Brook attempted to calm his girlfriend down "Douglas, be forreal, this not part of some crazy plan?" Douglas took his glasses off, Brook could tell from his lip quivering and dark circles under his eyes-there was no need to say nothing else.  

Brook felt strength leave his body and his knees buckle "So, got himself in some trouble we couldn't pull him out of again? That green-haired bastard, a fool to the very end" Brook sniffled, and despite attempting to crack a joked he was so hoarse he could hardly get out the words.  Anessa looked on in concern, they had gathered in her room as Dr. Lance and staff readied their 

Douglas sniffled as his eyes remained dry-he was all cried out for now, after Brook let Tess go she had started sobbing, burying her head into his chest and landing soft blows with her fists "I can't believe it's gonna really end like this, but there's still hope" Brook went over punching a hole in the wall. 

As he walked back, the light in the building turned off, for a few brief moments everything was pitch black "Yeah. Hope." Generator kicking in, the power turned back on "What hope is that?" Douglas looked aside "Well there's his friends we met.." Tess had stopped sobbing pushed Douglas back "Friends?" mascara ran all down Tess' face. 

Brook cupped Tess' face wiping it away "Didn't those guys have a thing about meddling in human affairs?" he narrowed his eyes "Don't tell me you're holding out on us again?" Douglas shook his head "Nah man, it's just if there ever was a time to count on outside help- " Brook cut him off "Isn't outside how we got into this mess??" Tempers flared, Douglas was incensed "Take that back" he got in Brook's face "Tell me that' not what you meant" they were nose to nose as Tess attempted to get between, both pushed her back "It's what I said" taking that as an invite Douglas was the first swing his fist. Brook caught it, but before he could pay him in kind, a siren went off and a national alert on every cell, television, and even radio caught their attention and interrupted their tiff.

"A National Emergency Alert is In Effect for New Arcadia...A National Emergency Alert is in Effect.." a woman's voice repeated, before long the president could be heard/seen "Citizens and denizens of New Arcadia, I come today with a heavy heart breaking and ready to break baring sad news..." the president delivered his message and after he was done a silence settled over the hospital-no dared to speak nor did they feel the need to utter a single word after being informed of their impending doom.

Back in a frozen dimension where space and time ceased to exist Gano and Anastya's conversation continued as gave him further instruction on what he needed to do "Everything's gone so wrong" Gano grumbled, letting out a yawn he stretched out his arms"Watch it" Annasya' warned, Gano's skin turned  red in embarassment "Sorry" he apologized.

Annasya's eyes closed "It's fine, I'm learning not to expect so much from you, in a way I'm jealous you seem to live a life with no regrets. Which makes me wonder-do you even value your own? " Gano tapped his temple with his finger "I do, but then I don't, I think my life's value being worth so much I can offer it in place of so many others gives my life's meaning so much more" Anastya looked at him and smiled. 

She studied his face for several seconds, but there was no wiggling of ears, wrinkling of nose, and his eyes did belie nor betray  "You're really you" Gano tilted his head confused "What do you mean?" He asked "Never mind" Anastya turned away "Oh!" Gano snapped his fingers "That's who you remind me of!! You remind me of Sayo'" Annasya' glanced at Gano deadpan. 

Knowing she wouldn't see him for awhile she decided to have some fun "Oh? Is that so?" Batting her eye lashes, Gano did his best to try to back away "NO!!"  " Laughter escape Anastya's throat "Alright, guess its time for you to go-" blush this time was profuse as her head turned so Gano couldn't see her face, however tables turned as Gano got right up into hers "Hey" his tone changed, instead of being playful and teasing, it was no grave.

His eyes downcast, she almost missed what he had to say "What?" Anastya asked him to repeat "I said thanks...for everything.." Gano could feel traces of him start to leave and exit "There's so much for us talk about-" he started "So much more I have to say, but I know we don't have time, and all of this might be a waste, but I just wanted to say-" Anastya stared into nothing but blank space, hoping he wouldn't notice she had already begun earlier in sending him on his way.

 "It's no need, that's something we already have, I'm sure our connection is something even you were able to figure out.." Gano's last words did not escape, however to both their surprise he was able to grab a hold onto her one last time as they traveled trough time and space "Sorry, I guess you've been my safety net, I always get his warm and fuzzy feeling when you're near...I didn't want to let go of that" To his surprise Anastya leaned into him.

 Disappearing in a burst of bright light they were  separated but Gano could still hear her voice "In you're a good man with a kind heart..you've just made a few mistakes.." Gano was lost in a flurry of color as matter and atoms move at light speed, catching glimpses of familiar faces, many a memory and moment was lost just to be found. It was hard to tell who or where he was.

Someway someway she could hear Anastya's words echo in his brain" Not matter what happens, Trust your heart and keep The Oracle safe-you never know how many doors are locked until you find the keys.." Not knowing if it was hours or seconds that passed, it was hard to make sense of even his sense of being until out of nowhere he found himself free falling and surrounded by blue sky. 

"Huh?" Gano so blue up and blue when he looked down "The Ocean? Where the hell am I?!" thrown off course by a great deal force, he rubbed his eyes as he slowed his fall "Was that a nuclear missile I just saw!?" Unsure on whether to follow or not, he pulled out and checked his phone "WHAT!? WHY WOULD THEY DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!?" he yelled out a no one in particular but himself. Tapping into the earth's magnetic field he did everything in his power to slow the nuclear missile that had been launched down.

Eyes popping out his sockets he read the words twice over to be sure as he looked back down at his phone "Yeah, I can catch up to the damned thing but what the hell am I supposed to do when I do!?" Gano ripped out tufts of green-hair, green electricity crackled and covered his person as he took off in one swift motion, expending as much energy as he could until he got in range. 

Shooting electricity from both hands, he used his powers as a lasso to bring the missile close"Uh huh, you come here!" Trying his best to keep a safe enough distance he made sure to match pace, and started brainstorming on finding to the right place to redirect it,  so no innocent lives would be lost.  

"Welcome home I guess..." Gano's words caught even himself off guard "Well, everyone I care about's in this dimension now so" he shrugged, he was deliberate and slow as did his best to angle and turn, hoping to change the trajectory as much as he could-there was a volatility to what his powers had a handle on and it didn't take much to explode.

Gano got a deviant look on his face, it had taken a minute but the lightbulb in his mind cut on "I know what to do, it's what any honest customer would do, if you get a delivery or package you don't want-" using every bit of what he had to change course soon the he and missile were headed back in the direction  where it was shot from "-all you gotta do is return to send" Unbeknownst to him, eyes in the sky were watching his every move, it wouldn't be like before the wildfire spread, and the whole world knew of his return.

Outside city limits a far distance away Isla and Yoshino were searching for a safe spot to drop people off "We're taking too long!" Isla cried and frustration Yoshino and her got far enough from town to drop everyone off, making sure to reduce gravity so it was more of an easy let down than a drop, Isla's body was drenched in sweat "Oh man" she wiped perspiration off her forehead as people landed on soft grass instead of road, many of them were panicked, even more were, confused and a great number disoriented.

"Safe to leave them here Yosh?" Isla asked, Yoshino gave a slight nod, ready to return and face what all the people were running from "Haste makes waste, but right now our only option is for these miscreant to be put down for good-too dangerous to live" Yoshino shared his thoughts "I'd serve you well to take that coat off, even if our kind isn't fragile as regular humans, heat exhaustion is a real way to die." 

Isla heard Yoshino loud and clear, trench coat thrown off, wind blew in opposite direction and grew stronger as they moved further away "Bye people! Sorry if it was a bumpy ride!" Isla shouted and waved "Hope we never have to see you again!!" Isla yelled out while grinning "Oh man, hope they don't take that the wrong way." Yoshino shook his head "Let's hope they don't.." had Isla got a look at his face she would've seen his face aglow- his wind had picked up on something.

  Cassian staggered as he felt a spell of exhaustion come over him "Seems this power of mine has limits, I could really go for a bite... " Looking to his right, all shops and stores were abandoned, including a bakery he happened to be passing by "That reminds me of that one time, back when it was just me and sis...

Throwing a brick through window, he made sure to sidestep glass as he put one foot over another and climbed into the store "Mfffff" he began to grab loafs and confectionaries behind counter and stuffing his face. 

He squealed devouring a mouthful "At this rate, my reign of causing destruction and terror can begin anew!" Cracking a smile that took up his whole face he was filled with glee. Looking at footage of himself and the mayhem he was responsible for on the news his chest swelled with pride, "Hold on-" breaking news had appeared on-screen and he couldn't believes his eyes

"HOW!?" 

The President  kicked the doors to office open yelling at his Vice "Get Grips on the damn phone now!!" The Vice was already ready with phone in hand "That man is out of! OUT OF HAND!!" his fist slammed on his desk as paper flew in different direction scattering everywhere.  

Rubbing his face with his hands, he poured himself a drink after pulling a bottle from out undr his desk "He knew letting one off from that base we wouldn't be able to shoot it down!!" On the larger projector, he got an incoming call, he accepted already knowing who it was as  General Grips appeared on screen, but even though he was talking to The President his focus was elsewhere. 

He pulled up that feed from one of his base's cameras, on the screen Gano and the nuke they had launched were heading straight back that way, had he not just been in dir straights The President would've poured another glass for himself and laughed in his face "Grips, is there a problem?" he smirked knowing he had the upper hand. 

Gano could be seen using one hand to steer the nuclear missile, and had the rest of his attention divided as he was trying to contact someone on his current predicament "Good to know you weren't behind this Commander and Chief" he sneered "What do you mean?" The President decided to play coy. 

The General lost control of his temper and started hitting the scream"Dammit!!You know Symia Base and how important is and you also now what research is being done!! If you and that vixen you've got on the ground have anything to do with this I'll have you imp-" That's one The President cut him off "You'll do no such thing.." his tone was ice cold. 

 He poured another glass after having just downed another one "Not only do I have no idea who that man is, he's for sure not one of ours nor has Agent On The Ground made contact, any intel on the ones popping-not including the one terrorizing New Arcadia which you tried to bomb- would be brand new. Instead antagonizing your superior who just undermined and double crossed I suggest you check to see if the green-haired one's a friendly and do your job" Having had enough The President ended the call.

 This left General Grips fuming and at a loss, even worse on of his men was breathing down his neck as they awaited orders, there would be no saving  face he realized-only lives and his job" Sir..sir.." The  soldier could feel daggers staring through  him as General Grip's head turned on a "Let me guess. Do you also want to tell me how to do my job?" a guttural growl emitted from the bottom of his throat "Sims! Send coordinates to his device and send out remaining air strike to assist him.....we'll have to  worry about New Arcadia later...this mock up takes priority number one!" Everyone kicked into high gear and double time doing as he instructed.

Back up in the air, Gano was doing his best to try and figure out what was going on, alerts and notifications were going off, but he was having trouble getting signal in the area on is phone 'Is this thing jammed? It stopped working all of a sudden..and Oo! Ir's one!!' Gano started reading and scanning his messages as one in particular got him by surprise. 

He looked at this one in particular twice over "A bead of sweat formed on Sims brow back at base "Right thing. Chain of command. Right thing. Chain of command.." he toggled and wrestled with what decision to make frozen in place.  Seeing Gano take off in the exact direction he was told, his mind was made up and he planted his feet firm 'At times one must be resolute, at the end of the day one's convictions are the pieces that make you you" Pulling out a satellite  phone, he used a channel different from base, making sure every word was heard loud and clear as he could feel his throat start to close.

Gano could see jets streaking towards him off in the distance, he readied himself to defend against him but to his surprise they flew right past before making a U-turn and flying right next to One of the jets picked up speed and flew ahead, Gano noticed it was leaving blue smoke in its wake and as the other jet flew next to him the pilot seemed held up his phone and seemed to be signaling something.

Gano scratched his head confused deciding now might not be a bad time to check his messages "Oh! That's what's going on!!" he gave a thumbs up to the pilot "I gotcha! So where going to dump this off somewhere, it better not be bad" he looked at the fighter jet with a stern expression, checking his phone again he was met with a smiley face. 

Gano stuck his tongue out "Aren't you guys supposed to be professional!! Why are dumbasses shooting nukes for anyway!?" he yelled "Oh yeah, he can't hear me" he smacked himself with his phone "I'll send that in a message, then again-" not paying attention he encountered turbulence and held his breath "Yeah, that could've been bad, first things first, gotta take care of this thing" he picked up speed flying the fighter jet's trail "Then I can duke it out with the military!!" Eyes glowing green, he started kicking things in overdrive, making sure to expand his magnetic field, knowing all it took was one slip up or collision for things to go bad.

Cassian's energy reserves had been replenished, scarfing down the last little bit of bread, he was ready to resume his reign of terror, however a minute too soon was almost a minute too late for him, as the building he was in was decimated by a blast. An invisible had knocked down the walls, shattered glass, and caused the whole building to collapse.

Cassian was confused, he attempted to seek out what it was that attacked him but for miles and miles in the direction the blast was sent there was nothing but air "What..." his eyes widened as he could fell another one coming, having plenty of time he hoofed getting out the way "Just what he hell is this!?" This time instead of from far away, he could feel pressure starting to build behind him. 

Cassian  knew had to think quick and idd the only thing he knew to do, he used his powers to turn the space behind him into a vacuum devoid of air 'Ah so that's it' he thought to himself 'Your power, whatever it is, the medium your using to attack me through is air, very bad for you that I figured out your little trick' as sound waves came at him from every direction, Cassian used his powers to cut out pockets of oxygen, making sure to stay in pockets where air still was to breathe, he used the pockets without as a blockade cutting the waves of pressure short.

Musera was crestfallen, using echolocation it was clear that there was only one moving target off in the distance and despite her best efforts it seem that not only was Cassian onto them, he was developing countermeasures. 'If I keep surrounding him with sound, and pelting him from afar, he could run out of oxygen, but then again that might send him to seek it from another source-brining him close to the hospital...I'm damned if I do or don't!' out of nowhere grew clouds appeared over head and it started to thunder as flashes of lightning were seen once again. 

It was then that Isla landed a few from her "Bout damn time, glad you guys are back" Isla looked worse for wear "Yeah, Yoshino's back up top, but from the looks of things if you weren't able to put his cat out of commission it may prove to be a tougher task than we thought." A thought crossed both their minds, but then they remembered what had transpired earlier and frowned. 

Isla was the first one to say it aloud "Imagine how easy this'd be if-" Musera wouldn't allow Isla to finish, not even letting the words reach hear hears "he was here.." despite canceling out the noise, Musera forgot to close her eyes, and from years of practice it was for too easy to read lips. What made it even worse was knowing Isla was right, and knowing he wasn't coming back, Musera heart felt torn in two.

Gano's eyes glowed green with determination as they approached where they were dropping the missile off, he was nervous, more than he'd ever been but he knew this something only he could do 'Then again maybe not' he thought to himself, they had gone over instructions and flight patterns. It wasn't easy slowing the missile's speed to the point he had almost under his complete control and it was taking a great deal of energy making it so.

The jets that escorted him there were flying in circles just in case; Gano, the pilots, and mission command had developed a bit of a rapport. He let them know just in case he messed up and the nuke happened to explode he needed something close by to draw to just in case. Gano made sure to hover above the the hole where he was supposed to lower the nuke down. He could fee a pin drop how quiet it was and his heart started to race 'Okay, can't mess this up now' he pictured Douglas and the rest, this helped him calm down.

Flipping the missile horizontal he made sure to point it down, Gano made sure to go slow and steady as it entered the hole and he made sure it didn't bump into or go off before it was submerged complete underground   'Just a nuke, no big deal' Gano entered the hole, he knew had to keep an eye on it and he thanked the heaves as reached the cavernous bottom and was able to let go and set it down. 

Better safe than sorry, he waited until he reached the surface before he released the device from the power of his magnetic field-this proved to be a mistake. Knowing he had to act quick, he flew backwards fast as possible as a shockwave could be felt erupting underground and  smoke began to shoot straight up. Seeking out the fighter jet furthest out's magnetic field, he increased the attraction between it and his own, pulling himself from harm's way-  his body on fire from the heat and friction as he moved high speed through the air. 

Knowing it'd be a disaster if he made impact Gano knew he had to time it right, as he canceled the attraction and let go. Allowing the momentum to carry him forward, he was thrown for a loop and started  plummeting towards dirt.

 Vertigo and having not much more to go, Gano's knew he was running out of time and distance-he needed to break his fall 'No' Instead of his eyes, this time his entire body was radiating a green glow "NO WAY!" Gano felt that spark that come from his very core, it was a feeling he felt from the moment he was born-magnetic force.

Doing a flip, he gave off the appearance of landing and walking on air, giving a thumbs up to the two fighter jets, he only had one place in mind he needed to go "Thanks guys, but now I gotta bounce!! On to Round Two!!" he shouted as his body was covered in green lighting he took of for New Arcadia. 

One of the fighter jets radioed the other "Hey Ty?" he messaged "What's good Loraine?" he watched as the green light became a dot and disappeared from his vision "Gotta give it to back at base..that's one bad-" Cutting communications of Ty already knew what his partner was about to say 'Hey, when you're right you're right' changing channels he got ready to report back to base, he couldn't wait to tell everyone good news. 

 "

 Isla and Musera stood in place paralyzed by indecision, then out the blue, Musera's phone ran, looking to see who it was color almost drained from her face and she almost fainted "Hey! Muse!! What's wrong!" Isla gasped as Musera held the device up to her "No way!!" seeing Gano's name pop up on screen, Isla thought her eyes deceived her.

Snatching Musera's phone, she didn't even wait for the person on the other end to answer "Hey dumbass is this you!? I oughta kick your ass for making Muse cry!!" loud chuckling was heard on the other end, and Isla couldn't stop herself from smiling "Ha Ha Ha! Worried about me all of a sudden...that's not like you!" Gano's laugh was filled with mirth.  

Musera couldn't contain her excitement taking back her phone "Gano? Is it...is it really you?" Gano changed his voice "No, it's me, the great leader Akuruasaaaaa" not in the mood for jokes, Musera let out a sonic scream, piercing Gano's eardrums causing him to wince on the other end 

 She fumed "That's what you get for being funny you dope!" Gano was kicking feet in the air "C'mon Muse" he groaned, Muse gave Isla back the phone "I'm sorry I even wanted him back!! I want nothing to do with him anymore!!" Musera grabbed both bangs framing her face and pulled as hard as she could without losing hair, Isla sighed as Muse continued to pout. 

 Isla could feel off in the distance that Cassian was on the move "Pains me to admit and as curious as I am to know the how and why as to how you got back-we could really use your help right now.." Isla looked up at the clouds "More than us, I think it's one person in particular that never stopped believing in you.." Gano knew to stay out of Cassian's range, and the only way to do so was to increase his altitude. 

Gano couldn't help from noticing an abnormal amount of cumulonimbus cloud gathered in the area "Oh Yoshino, that's why he's my favorite y'know...guy just gets me....don't tell Douglas I said that now" he cracked "Yeah, if you guys can draw him out into a wide open area away from the public, I think it'll be pretty easy to take care of him now" Isla exhaled "Ah huh, leaving the hard part to Muse and I again? This really is 'Old times'" Isla could see Gano mocking her on other end "Stop that!" she scolded "Thanks!!" Gano replied hanging up the phone before she could even get another word in. 

Isla made to tell Muse, but having forgotten the finer points of her power, she already had a look of determination on her face having heard the whole thing "We're going to have to get closer-this could be the end? You ready for this?" One look was all it took-Isla already knew what the answer was. Holding hands, there were hours in the minutes that passed, letting go of each other, Isla made sure they were no longer held down by gravity as took off in leaps and bounds.

"Alright let's go!" Dr Lance and staff had Ramie strapped and ready to sedate,  with Douglas standing right outside just in case. Mayuri had recovered and woken up about an hour ago, despite their scuffle earlier Brook and Douglas decided to let bygones be bygones- looking  down at their phones, the entire room was in shock as they received identical texts "No Way" mouth ajar, Mayuri passed her phone to Tess. 

Dr Lance couldn't help but reprimand and remind them they were in scrubs, gloves, and sterile gear along with staff, who they were distracting from getting something done-not only for them-but many innocent lives were at stake too. "Kids stop acting you're age!! This life or death!" He fussed, shooing  Brook and Tess out the room since they couldn't behave. 

Tess and Brook rushed over to Douglas-he kept reading the message over and over-not sure if he could believe what was happening "Douglas!! Do you think it's really him?!" He looked up at her at a loss for words "I don't know!! I guess! But...maybe that footage was doctored...or it wasn't really him" Douglas started going of on tangent theorizing out loud, he dare not be wrong and when it seemed he had nothing but doubt in his heart-a single picture was all it took for him to make up his mind. 

Hands shaking in excitement he jumped up and down "It's him!!It's really him! He survived!!" Brook folded his arms, the cynic in him not wanting to give in yet "Yeah, anyone could've made that up, I believe he's back like same as you all believed he was gone-when he comes and faces me like a man for once" " Tess nudged him with a wink "Big softie. He's grown on all of us, No shame in being glad he's okay!" Thunder shook the building and the three off them took a look outside-it seemed a storm even worse than the one from earlier was starting up again.

Tess tapped Doulgas on his shoulder "Hey, we weren't supposed to have bad weather today, think this has something to do with Gano being  back?" she asked, Douglas looked outside and as lighting flashed he swore it was a different color than usual "Yeah, that's him" Brook put his arms around the two of them. What had been last hours ago they could feel rising in their chest-thought they thought they lost a long time ago.

Outside, Cassian stumbled out of the building confused, making sure clear coast he used his powers to remove all the mist only to find unlike earlier, it was hard to that without removing the oxygen too"Pah...Pah....Pahhhh" he gasped for air, hurrying before his lungs ran out of breath "No! No!! NO!!" he ran into the mist, terror filled him for the fist time in along time as had no choice but delve into the unknown. 

High above in the sky a green dot could be seen approaching "Well look what's blown in  with the wind!" Yoshino greeted Gano with a fist bump "That's actually your speciality Yosh my man!!" Gano joked "Guess it's one of many great lessons I learned from you" Yoshino looked at him in earnest Gano rubbed his neck. 

Pulling out his phone, he saw an influx of messages from Douglas, Brook, and Tess, a pang of guilt and regret hit "Yosh, can we both be honest for a sec...do you think I'm a terrible friend?" Yosh placed a hand over his mouth in order to hold in a laugh "Hey! I'm being serious man!!" Gano's cheeks puffed up  Yosh couldn't help himself  from snickering. 

Once Yoshino collected himself he ready to answer him "Gano, you're a moron, as long you remain well intentioned and willing to throw away your life at hat's drop for any of us there's no use complaining about your impulsive decisions-at least unlike someone we chose to follow you over at least they tend to be the right ones" Yoshino answered" Gano pounded his chest "Is that so?" Yoshino responded in turn "That so" wind picked up and lighting continued to flash.

 Gano flew over and put him Yoshino a headlock "Yosh!! It's  always a blast when we team up!! Great to have you on my side again!" Yosh wrestled himself from Gano's grip with ease 

He eyed him with suspicion "Seems I maybe the only one on your side right now" he remarked "Who knows! But who cares! You and me and get it down-an Army of Two!!" Gano patted him on the back "Of course you'd think that" Yoshino's and Gano eyes both started light up. 

More clouds gathered, the wind picked up, as they faced each other and clasped hands, both were basked in radiant glows.  Gano's heart sped up as Yoshino's started to slow until they beat as one.  as his and Yoshino's started to beat as one-a Resonance was taking place and about to form.  

 Yohsino started "They say Mother Nature's  Wind carries many a gift, but before every calm - " lighting could be seen dancing in the clouds, instead of purple or blue the electric discharge had turned bright green "there must be STORMI!!" Gano finished, the rain picked up and even heavier than the ran was hail. 

 Yoshino shouted "This-" Gano's green eyes glowed in unison with Yoshino's, as they spoke their irises grew brighter and brighter "-Is-!" A loud boom was heard almost shattering their eardrums "Our Resonance!" Clouds flashed a bright green as Gano's and Yoshino's energy and heart's intention fused with nature's "ElectroWeather Secret Technique-" Yoshino closed his eyes voices becoming indistinguishable from another "MerryGoRound!!" powers combining in a burst of light, streaks of electrical currents shot towards the ground converging on one moving target both had in mind. 

"Gano!!" Yoshino yelled, on brink of exhaustion "You gotta rid the current if you want to take him by surprise!!" Nodding, Gano knew he exactly what he had in mind  'Isla, Muse, please distract him just enough so I can take that bastard down' Lighting continued to flash and his powers recovered just in time for him to pick up on Cassian's magnetic field "Okay, this is our one last shot!!Here we Go!!" Gano flew right into the center of one of the clouds and as it got ready to discharge he changed where he wanted it to strike. The only thing he knew he couldn't control and it would take a bit of luck to get right-was the time.

Muse and Isla were already aware of the part they had to play "Muse, can't mess this up, sure that's  him?" Isla squeezed Musera's hand for reassurance "Sure as I've been about anything. Gano. Yosh. Us. You name it."  Muse squeezed back "Alright then. Princess, it's about time we show the boys hot to kick ass our way!!" letting Isla's hand go, they split into opposite directions "Isla!" she shouted "Muse!" their screams could be heard miles away "Put on a show!" Off in the distance this alerted Cassian and gave away their position.

Cassian felt strength anew, still he was unsure what to do "Damn this mist!! Damn this mist!!" a rumbling was heard and felt a ripple of vibrations as shockwaves moved in his direction from the ground "The Fu-" Doing all he could he tried to jump and get out of dodge. 

Lighting strikes from above seemed to by aimed direct at him-Cassian was starting to experience sensory overload and couldn't handle additional distraction "Wait a second! I can escape all this!" Pavement torn up and asunder, he came to the sudden realization he could escape below 'Maybe I can dig my way out!" instincts kicking, he felt a tingle as one of the lightning strikes almost got him-  were his reaction time a  millisecond slower,   every hair on his head would've been singed. 

Cassian  found it hard to keep a track of everything going on, it seemed out of nowhere all loose concrete, dirt and debris seemed to be drawn his way, still mortal despite his superhuman ability this left Cassian in a daze 'No!! Not like this!! I wanted to bath the world in blood!! Have my moment of coronation!!' Lighting flashed once again, as more mini quakes were sent his away, leaping into the air he knew it was a bad decision that could leave him vanquished 'Good thing  I got rid of that guy....Imagine dealing with that guy....then again...why exactly am I having to deal with all this lighting right now. No way!!' Confirming his suspicion several strikes  him right in the chest. 

A single strike of lighting diverged from the rest, Cassian felt a thrill, an exhilaration, a feeling of fulffillment and completion he never had before "It's you!! It's you!! Hiding in that lighting! Brilliant! I don't even know how you're back again! But right here right now for the first time in my life I can say to someone we're truly fiends!" Cassian let out a cheer as he could feel and lighting and and something within the bolt disappear.

Unable to contain himself he started celebrate "Damn, even got your buddies to join, but no cigar!! How the hell do you make the same mistake!! I mean death was knocking on the door, but I knock back once and it goes away!! The hell was that!? What a waste of a second chance!" Cassian's power had less than a half second lapse, and it's effect was instant as soon he thought something out existence that's all it took-there was no delay. This meant that when Cassian cleared paths and defeated a foe, there was no second thought given to whether or not they survived. 

Another earthquake threw Cassian off balance and as the ground split he found himself surrounded by a great number of dirt and debris, it was at that very moment bolts of lighting rained down and converged again "Wait a sec-" it was unnatural for lighting to behave that way "That mea-" the device in center of Cassian's chest had reached its limit and has subsequent strikes got ready to deliver a killing blow he hand no choice but use his powers again but to his surprise the lighting didn't make its way to him. 

Hiding amongst dirt and debris, Gano acted as a conduit, beckoning the lightning to strike himself, immune to the shock what worried him was the heat- all he could do was bite his tongue to power through and not pass out from the pain. Cassian's power had a half-second lapse and no delay, but it took him a full second to realize his mistake.  'This is nothing!' Gano thought to himself 'Douglas is always scared........Mayuri's depressed........Tess and Brook are angry. because for the first time in their lives they're powerless to do anything....still they lay it ...Anessa....Dad...Mom.....Aunt Rain...Isla...Yoshino...Muse....Sayoko.....even with all the flaws and imperfections.......they still hope.....they still have dreams......THEY'VE ENTRUSTED THOSE HOPES AND DREAMS...TO ME!!' Cassian didn't have time for final words or a final thought as voltage from the shock burnt him to a crisp soon as Gano made contact with his target-this time he remembered to aim for the head.

Gano wasn't sure if that last part was a final well wish or  thought of  or something he let out and screamed; Before the lightning struck him, he swore Cassians gaze shifted his way, 'Was he smiling?' This made Gano want to cancel his attack it was too late.  In tremendous amount of pain, Gano reset his heart's rhythm back to normal, flesh peeled off and  and  his skin was covered in burn mark "Good thing today, it decided to rain" before his world turned back he could hear someone calling for him-screaming his name. 

Before he passed out a loud   "GANOOOOOOOOOOO!!" pierced the  air, however everything Slipping into darkness, he prayed when he woke up he could be greeted by a certain someone's face 'That'd be-' his eyes fluttered struggling to stay open a bit.

Dr. Lance held his hand steady as all anesthetic finished entering both patient's system as Mayuri sat down and entered a meditative state, in a realm between conscious and unconscious Anessa was there waiting once again "Swore I'd never do this again, yet here I am, seriously If I die or enter a coma ag-" Mayuri gave Anessa a look letting her know she was  in no mood for complaints. 

Huffing and puffing Mayuri decided to comfort the younger the best she could "Hey, I'm coming along for the ride, whatever happens to you happens to me...and nothing's happening to me! I'm Mayuri I kick ass, take names and do what I want- now let's dive into this freak's dreams" Joining hands, they felt out what appeared to be Ramie's stream of lost thought as he entered REM, to their shock as they stopped into  his mind's subconscious he was waiting for them "Oh brother! He's lucid!! Just what we need!" Mayuri eye rolled 

Confirming his suspicions took of his hat and bowed-welcoming them " Worry not me there, I come in peace! I was hoping to propose truce!! After all us Psys left behind  have to look out after all." Sharing a look, a gun popped into Mayuri's hand as her figure was cloaked in black "Ah huh, why don't I  believe you?" she had a heard time not turning the chat they were having in Ramie's dream in a nightmare. Anessa touched Mayuri light on her shoulder-getting the older woman to relax. 

Ramie shrugged his shoulders-despite circumstance he remained unfazed  "Sometimes telling is better than showing I suppose.  You have access to  roam my mind and take a trip down my memory's lane; I'm a  open book you could say, so see how many pages you can turn and flip-who knows what you may find out" Mayuri was unnerved by his cooperativeness, but they were in no position to close a gift horse's mouth "'Yuri we trusting this guy?" Anessa's brow furrowed. "Sucks to say 'Ness..we don't have a choice" They began to explore and  tour Ramie's mind looking for clues. 

Mist clearing, rain gave way to rainbows, and sunshine was given way by rain as they all collapsed and collided at one point-a wonder one could wander the world many times and could never be seen. Seeing if the ghost was clear, national guard and help arrived. Drones flew over and surveyed the area wanting to make sure no trace nor sign of Cassian or paranormal activity remained.  

Ramirez made out what looked to be tattered clothes "Guess so" Spitting, the butterfly must've got its brief moment of needed rest as it fluttered away "A monarch huh?" Ramirez shot the other man a look "What Don?" Don scratched his neck "Nothing, just heard that's good luck" Ramirez's face scrunched up "Good luck!? Take a look around!" he sneered "No such thing as luck around here!!" 

Don raised up a finger in protest "Nah, it's a certain way you gotta look at things see?" Ramirez gave Don a look of incredulity "Say someone told you a meteor was going to his earth, what would you say?" Don asked "Everyone's going to die" Ramirez answered "Okay? Now say a few thousand stop, but someway somehow, an angel appeared out of nowhere making that meteor appear what would you say?"

High above above a silver-haired man was conducting his own search high up in the sky..way up in the air-he trying to find someone and he found it very distracting as the wind picked up an annoying pair constantly calling him Yo! Yoshino where'd you go!" Isla and Musera were on top of building-he could they were desperate to find  not only him"Gano!!" But a certain somone he was trying to find too. 

Deciding enough he was enough, he knew this was the perfect time to make use of his phone "Yosh!! Yosh are you oaky!! We were worried about you! Have you found Gano!? Is he okay!" Yoshino wasn't ready for the barrage of questions and was unsure hot to respond "Gano..I can't find him right..but he is okay. I'll explain when I touch back down? Please-just give me a sec" he had no time and didn't wait for a reply for hanging up the phone "I have to find him"  Eye lids heavy, he let his wind carry him through an open window into an abandoned hotel "I will find him, but  for now I guess my body's giving me no choice-" Landing and limping he found an open room, and decided  the closet was the best place he could find to hide and sleep in "but to rest" 

Isla's voice wavered as she began to whimper  "Yosh!! Don't hang up on me like that!" Isla attempted to call him again  in vain "He probably exhausted himself? He's going to be passed out for awhile" Musera and Isla were on a fast track as they hijacked a car and made their way out of town "That idiot, he's gone and gotten himself in trouble again, just who the hell that lady was!?" Isla gave Musera a matching pair of sunglasses to put on.

Musera took them and put them on "I don't know" Isla kept her eyes on the road, they encountered a road block, but that prove to be no problem as Isla's powers allowed the car to float right over it "But for now we're going to have to lay low" as it touched back road they two held each others hand-they were on the run again.

 The President answered in an angry tone "Grips!! Grips you son of a~~ Once again you made a move without my approval! Lucky for you!!Lucky for you!" loud curisng and vehement denial ensued, and many words not suitable for children could be heard on the other end  "No Gripps screw you! I'm Command and Chief!! You hear! My Agent on the ground is already working on clean up so stay in your place and let her do what she needs to do!!"Incomprehensible angrish was being spoke by both men, and as subordinates for both eavesdropped this went for what seemed to be an hour that would never end.

Roaming around Ramie's mind they entered an empty hotel room where Akurasa's specter awaited them "You know" his apparition started "There's a reason in particular Gano draws my ire and detest, in a way he's my lighter half-don't you think?" Akurasa turned about face startling them both, until it became clear he was only a memory in Ramie's mind 

A question was posed to Ramie by Akursa but they he stood there it's as if he asking those two "Why do ants serve and follow the queen? Is it simply their nature? Do they even need a reason to do so??  Anessa pinched her arm "Okay, now's time to wake up. Sayoko she mends me so much of my Leiya" Akurusa's soliloquy continued on. 

Mayuri shoulders sagged and dropped 'When the bastard get like this-he tends to ramble on" Akurasa took of his white hat "My starts many eons ago, in a dimension far far away. A world so far away and lost to us, it can only be referred to by it's monomer we managed to narrow down to a single name-Elementia. The people of Elementia had mastery of element, they ruled over nature, and like many nations and people holding great power in hand-the destruction they left in their path was horrific. No matter how beautiful the world, nor how advanced the people, all are destined to crumble if they don't live with peace in their heart."A lone tear escaped Akurasa's eye.

 He wiped it with a lavender handkerchief he pulled out his pocket "It's on this planet my precious Leiya was born; a few who desired peace and had no inkling in their heart for escaped-finding nowhere else suitable or similar they chose Earth as their new home. They took an oath amongst themselves to not make contact and stay hidden but as you know that sort of thing is hard to stick, and many people throw caution to the wind, making folly and fools of themselves when love's involved" Akurusa turned his back and turned on the fireplace before pouring himself a glass of wine.

Akurasa's face held a look of contentment Mayuri had never seen-it seemed for a brief moment peace was found "My love, my Leiya was a prodigy among prodigies, a rare beauty that could never be replicated, duplicated, or found!!  That Lavender hair and matching eyes saved my soul, a late bloomer she was- her power had yet to awake til' her teenage years. When it first manifested itself as healing, rumor spread around and many came to visit with high hope to be blessed by her hands. But as you know, back then there was a cruelty to mine, those with gifts such as her were thought of as witches on her seventeenth birthday they had her burned at the stake, but my life wasn't yet ready to die.." Akurusa smiled as if he'd started recall a fond memory.

Akurasa's smile turned to a frown "Faking death, she waited until they thought she was dead and buried, and  later that evening she dug hoer way out her own grave, making sure to draw suspicion from anyone in or on the outskirts of town. It was then she ran into a white-haired lad with no place in the world-traumatized and cursed as she was. My mother died during labor, and deemed an accursed child no one cared for, as soon as I was old enough to walk I was forced toil away as a slave-up until the day I met her the only thing that made me live worth living was hatred" They could see the whites of his eyes, not the sclera but his actual irises as fire danced within as he watched the flames. 

He turned back around, deciding it must've been rude to speak to someone for so long with one's back turned " On my sixteenth birthday I ran,  I cared not for woods full of dangerous creatures nor bandits. It was better I die trying to live, than live always dying..over and over gain...it was a cold winter-I knew if I could make it to the next town over I could have a life of my own-this was my trial by death, but as my lips turned blue and frost bit my fingers, I grew sleep and knew this trial was not one I was going to pass" It was then Mayuri saw something she'd never seen before-Akursa smiled "That's when I met her. Those lavender eyes held so much warmth and kindness, I wasn't sure if it was her soul that brought back to live or her touch-" Akurusa took his hat off.  

Akurusa took his gloves and held his hands by the fire hoping to feel its warmth "From that day wherever she traveled I followed along, It was no words we needed to exchange-she was my mate. We we walked all the earth earth and sailed seven seas, making friends twenty years fly on by and I started to noticed-she didn't age" the light from fire casted a dark shadow over his face.

Akurasa buried his face in his hands "A witch, we thought it was a witch, after all that time another descendant of Elementia was found-this blessing turned into curse. Instead of forming a connection, this person only existed to test and prove their strength, wanting to take Leiya to prove her strength they began to fight, but in the end Leyia would not allow herself to fall to such a hoe- but victory..hard earned victory comes at a price. In the midst of battle I'd been struck with a fatal wound as hourglass came down to the last grain of sand my darling Leiya knew of only one thing to do-In what we thought would be our final kiss some of her very essence and life force was given to me" He pinched a piece of skin on his arm rolling up his sleeve. 

Letting it go it snapped back "It seemed forever was ours and I took delight in our days never having an end, but what's too good to be true often is" Outside a light rain could be heard "A decade or so passed, and that's when it stated, something we couldn't ran away-a terrible thing" his gaze cast down, before his head lifted back up "Upon my revival I discovered I had a gift- a gift that keeps giving as you know already my fiend, as we encountered and unlocked what we believed to be humanities evolution and next step, it seemed every power we encountered and unlocked Leiya would develop as wellI found- It was to much for her mind to handle..." It appeared Akurusa was starting choke up a bit.

 An image of 'Leiya appeared before them, eyes taking on an eerie glow, her sclera flashed before blinding them both "Aye!" Anessa covered her eyes "Woah!" Mayuri screamed as it seemed to more than a memory and way to interactive to be dream  Akurasa sighed "Her mind started to fracture, her powers grew out of control- it was a monstrosity she started become-she was no longer my betrothed.  My search took us to a island where we met a woman, she had no powers but she was almost'Leiya's twin,  her hair was a silky raven but her eye's natural lavender hue let me know we found what we're looking for...." Akurusa lips curled and twisted into something unrecognizable.

 Mayuri's pupils shrank in horror, Anessa covered her ears "Flash forward present day, a group of children are discovered, near and dear to Leiya's heart cause they remind my love of home..of what could've been...it was then we decided to take them in, but tragedy struck us once more-this there was no running from man's government" His voice rose several octaves into an almost yell.

"Knowing they'd never be allowed to roam free-knowledge of us both had been exposed and passed down the line centuries ago-we had no choice but to  broker a deal, these 'Children of Elementia' were to offered up and taken in as property of the state, in exchange the nature of our being and the secrets of our world we'd never be public knowledge nor see the light of day" Akurasa lips pursed, he broke out into cold sweat, and his hair frazzled becoming a nervous wreck. He took of his white coat, throwing it into the fire and feeding the flames  "Behind our back, it turns out they had plucked out hair from my beloved's precious head the intended to clone hair-they had tried many times and failed-however.." an image of a young girl appeared before them, lavender eyes, black hair, and brown skin, in the face of the young girl was a young woman Mayuri recognized. 

Akursa broke down into hysterics, grabbing his stomach, as he laughed and cried at the same time "Fools! Only fools plan!!! It seemed this world was done with my Leiya..it had spit out a place for her " Akurasa's mouth formed a thin line and his face contorted in rage "That's something I couldn't accept, It's something  I wouldn't allow, SO-"  And just like that they were booted back into the realm of consciousness. 

The National Emergency was over and things at the hospital had started to settled down"Yo Tess! Brook! Check this out!" Douglas ran up to them grinning ear to ear "What?" Brook peaked at Douglas' phone, who'd been scanning online forums for obscure news "No way!! Leaked footage, isn't  that Cassian getting barbecue and fried to death?? Looks like Gano kicked his ass second time around!" Douglas nodded "See" Douglas pointed as Tess took a look too "Electrical burns, lighting from the sky, It couldn't have been anyone but!!" Tess looked down worried. 

Brook and Douglas looked at her concerned "Tess, what's wrong?" Douglas asked "You'd think be know he'd back to us by now-or at least check in-it's kind of strange he's not answering his phone Douglas waved off Tess' worry and concern "Probably doesn't want to arouse suspicion and get caught" Brook nodded in agreement "Yeah, that sounds like him"  not even having time to speculate or debate what was going on with him Hospital doors swung open and federal agents. 

 Unable to fight back or reactDouglas, Brook, and Tess found themselves held at gunpoint and cuffed  "Hey man!" Brook struggled "What's going on!? You're hurting my wrist!! Stop" Tess cried in pain "Better watch it buddy!" Brook threatened before being tased and knocked out "Hey!! Hey! We're citizens man! Let us go!!" Ignoring their protests and pleas, they were rushed, heads pushed down as they were forced into separate cars. 

Mayuri shot up as her eyes opened, words ran together she couldn't make out, as Anessa pulled and tugged at her arm "Please.....you've...got to...do something...they're taken them away... Help!" waking up next to each other in recovery Mayuri was confused "Take away? Take way who? " Mayuri asked Anessa who had turned into  a blubbering mess.

 Anessa could barely utter a coherent sentence, so it take a while for Mayuri to break down what shed said "T...e..sss...Br...oo...D...ou...gggg...." breaking into an inconsolable wreck, Mayuri's blood ran cold "Fuck! Now now!!" pulling out her IV, Mayuri hopped out of bed, soon as stepped out she was greeted by a pair of holding her at gunpoint "Ah, I see we've got a postcard invite too, what's the honor?" Knowing it was futile to escape she did what little she could do "Take it easy on that kid, she's not me" Spitting into the agent's face and making sure to make eye contact with both, her mind's web was already weaving, it was no time like the present to come up with the perfect plane.

Meanwhile in an underground cavern, in a reverse of roles a woman was bridal carrying an injured man "That was close one, they could fix you up, but then the stuff they'd do to you after you'd probably find kind of weird" A brown skinned woman stood about six two cradling Gano in her arms, save for the ponytail and affable demeanor she could pass for Mayuri's twin "Okay, not to far from here" in an empty space underground, there seemed to be no tunnel or wall, making sure Gano was safe, secure, and still breathing, in one bound they both phased through dirt and gravel. 

"Miss, our staff has checked you out, you've got a clean bill of health and are good to go" the flight attendant who'd caught the young woman at the airport earlier was doing a round about to double check "Thanks for all your help" the girl looked away abased and ashamed, they'd taken her to a room for employees in order to do a quick check up just in case "It's no problem. Take Care" The attendant smile ,giving the young lady's hand a squeeze, before walking away.

 The young lady let her friend know via text she was doing fine and would be in the bathroom freshening up for the time being "Gotta get that guy off my mind!" she groaned, taking a look in the mirror, lavender eyes staring back, they seemed to bee able to see into her very soul "Split ends...how gross...Pretend to be normal...pretend you don't know...why can't you...." 

Lavender eyes, staring to shimmer a bit, her friend walked in only to jump scared "'Ko? Was something wrong with your eyes?" Splashing water on her face, she turning off the faucet and gave her friend a smile "Yeah, they put some drops in, probably an infection or something. New contact problems y'know?" her friend was slow to nod "Um...sure." Walking out, the faucet wasn't automatic, yet somehow they knob turned itself  as the two girls broke into a trop, hoping to make it in time to board their plane. 

'Ko's' thoughts be gan to race 'Just a normal girl living a normal life..' several people walking by, lost service and something threw their phones out of whack 'That's what you wanted...right?' 

"Here we go!" Phasing through rock and gravel, Gano and his rescuer arrived in front of a pair of metal doors way underground "Guys C'mon! Let me in!! This guy needs to be on the operating table now!!" Whirring was heard and a loud beep  Leaping forward, Gano and the woman both lost tangible form "Bring him here" A man and woman in white scrubs greeted them both "We'll begin work on him now." The woman watched intent as Gano was whisked away "Mayuri, these new friend's of yours are strange. No matter what perils and danger you endure that, the fact you were able to make friends fills your mother's heart with hope..." Fingers starting to twitch, Gano seemed to be coming to "Oh, got some life in you? That's good to see!" 

Walking over, she traced into Gano's palm in order to help him relax "Got banged up pretty bad sweetheart, but it's thanks to you and your friends that we saved everyone. I know you're wondering where you are, but for right now just focus on trying to recover, electric resistant doesn't mean your immune to heat." loading him onto a stretcher Gano could feel himself start to fade "Don't worry we got tabs on your friends, until you're hope and ready, I'll keep them safe..." 

Gano found himself staring at nothing but a blur, it appeared he was in surgery, all he could make out was what appeared to be a ceiling "Dou...glas...Tess...M...." he struggled to speak words not coming out clear "Sedative wasn't strong enough, make sure he's completely under, we can afford no mistakes!" a voice yelled "Sa-" he could feel his system being flushed and a drowsy spell came over him "-yoko" his voice rang loud and clear before being put under. 

"Good! Now let's graft on the new skin!" ready to perform surgery, everyone was taken by surprise as green electricity shot from Gano's body, running from deep underground, it somehow made its way up into earth's magnetic field as streaks of electricity shot back down. 

 Isla felt a tingling sensation throughout her body "Muse did you?" Muse grinned "Yeah" Isla grinned in return "Gano!! We got the message!!" This lifted Isla and Muse's spirits, the two high-fived, they were driving off road trying to find a clearing to settle down deep in the forest "As long as your heart as a place to return-" Isla started "The you always have somewhere to call home" Muse finished, beginning to hum a familiar tune, with Isla joining in to hum along.

Green electric currents flipped over several cars that were on their way out of town-no one is sure, but looking back they found it couldn't be a coincidence that it happened to be the transports holding Gano and his friends "Wait a sec, Don't tell me-" Douglas dried his eyes "No way!" Douglas, looked at his phone which was out of service,  in addition something was goin on with the GPS. Mayuri knew when opportune there was nothing better to to seize the moment. Wriggling out of her cuffs she gave Anessa-who was backseat with her- a wink.  

Having boarded the plane with her friend, Ko had just got done putting up her luggage, due to the trouble she encountered earlier the bumped her and her friend to first class "Isn't this awesome!" he friend squeed in excitement "Yeah" Ko agreed, a lot less enthusiastic  as the two shared a toast.

Before the plane could take off, it was hit by a jolt, the plane's systems malfunctioning as the lights on board started flickering on and off. This scared everyone and throw them for a loop-except her  'Is this your way of reaching out to me'  the young lady's lavender eyes gleamed and had a hint of a glow "Still..." touching the plane, her hand's crackled with black electricity for a split second 'Just as I know you're out there somewhere, I want you to I'm here too" Returning one  jolt with another, she hoped her message was heard.

Down Underground, the operation was already underway, baffling everyone in the room the experienced a power surge, lucky for Gano and everyone in the room it was before things got dicey that the interruption occurred.  As the power surge was felt Gano's body jumped and his vitals spiked. 

As the powers  turned back on, the ran another check on Gano and decided to start back over sterilizing materials before they gave things another shot.  "Quick!" the head surgeon shouted "Check the patient!! Make sure he's stabilized!! Our margin of error isn't slim as usual, but just remember slim is none!! We can't afford any more mess ups!" adjusting his mask, he awaited to get the clear-he wanted to make sure the facility wouldn't have another outage and black out again.

A  female surgeon felt a warmth enter her chest as she made incidental contact with Gano's hand, it was a shock, a light one-the kind you encounter one you touch a rug or piece of lint "I think he's going to fine, the surgery's going to be successful and he's going to pull through-he's got so much life left to him" she stared down at Gano, despite all the commotion, he'd been put under alread and yet to move  "He's in love with someone" that feeling in her heart, that sudden emotion she had started to experience, she wondered why it took her over out the blue.  .." 

The doctor was amused "Oh he is? How do you know?" he inquired "I'd like to know-" Having one over on the man who knew everything she started to whistle "How do you know?" he asked again "Oh, I just do" as he watched how her masked move she could she was having fun "Ah huh" Deciding to clue him in, she drew a heart around his name on the chart "You've got a crush on him" the doctor looked back up concerned "No!" she shook her head. 

She took the doctor's gloved hand and brought it close to Gano's "Ouch! So much static!! Oh, the endorphins are getting boost from that!! This feeling...the young man's...in love?" she shrugged her shoulders.

Walking back over to Gano she brushed a wisp of hair out his face "It's a strange name this one has-Gano. Do you know what it means" This it was the doctor's turn to shrug "Yes!" she started fist pumping "Well, what does it mean?" he asked growing impatient "We're running out time you know" she wagged her finger side to side "I'll give you a clue" Everyone had come back in the room and surgery was about to start again "It's something a whole lot easier for all of us to love with, and it's almost impossible to love with out" The Doctor was stumped "That's a great story Miranda, but I don't have time for this" she stepped back and looked at the doc' in shock "You couldn't figure it out never mind..it'll come to you.." The doctor looked up at the clock and jotted it down on his chart, maybe late he'd give it some thought. 

An hour later in the midst of surgery, it came to his mind, the lightbulb had been turned on-
