The Legend of Ardin pt.2

He felt his presence long before his attendent a young human girl came to him frightened of the man who demanded his presence.

He instructed Malakia, who was swollen with child to go to the resting place immediately. As she ran, he went to meet his visitor. He was a tall man, no he was no human, but he resembled a man. Tall and athletic build underneath steal armor. His skin tanned by the sun, and his shoulder length brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. His eyes were silver and he smiled.

"Ardin, so nice to meet you. I've heard many things about the great dragon god." The man said in wonder.

Ardin looked at the man with disinterest. "And yet I have no clue who you are."

The man's grin widened. "Oh yes, my name is Darrion."

"A creation of Nigel?"Ardin said, "And what brings you to my home?"

"Why is it not time for you to retire to the resting place. Everyone is already in place, everyone but you."

Malakia ran quickly through the secret tunnel until she came upon the large door he told her about. She quickly placed her palm against the door as a sharp pain went through her stomach. The door opened with a loud creak and she walked through.

She came upon the shrine with the floating orbs and looked at the last one. Ardin's. The pain became more frequent more intense and she quickly went to his shrine, placing her hand upon his shrine.

Everything began to glow as she froze. The ground began to shake as she began to turn into light that formed into a large red orb. The ground stopped and the door to the resting place disappeared.

The shaking stopped and Darrion's eyes narrowed. "What did you do?" He spat out, "No matter it will not hurt my cause to kill you."

Ardin's eyes began to glow red as his body grew. Darrion's eyes began to glow as metal chains formed in his hands. Ardin roared at Darrion, as his transformation into dragon completed. Fire shot out of his mouth covering everything.

Hours later Ardin lay in the debris of his temple as Darrion stood over him. They both were covered in blood but Ardin lay engulfed in flame. Darrion and stayed and watched until Ardin was nothing but ash. Then he left the temple to ruin.

The ashes remained aflame and suddenly the flame intensified and began to glow. The flames died down and suddenly there stood a boy, his eyes blood red with black hair. He narrowed his eyes as the human girl climbed through the ruin towards him.

"Master...Ardin?" She whispered.

"Good you are still here. We have work to do." He said a small grin on his face.
