Stark white ceiling and blinding white lights greeted me as I struggled to pry my eyes open. My head was throbbing. My effort to sit up resulted sharp pain to shoot through my right arm causing me to hiss in pain.
Gritting my teeth I forced myself into a sitting position. The room bathed in white light illuminating every corner but there was nothing much to see apart from the side table with a glass of water on it beside my bed which was draped in white sheets.I took in my surroundings , trying to figure out where I was exactly .

Just then I heard a clicking sound and saw the door knob turning . I panicked, my eyes frantically looking for anything I could use to defend myself , but in vain.
The door swung open slowly revealing the person behind.

My eyes shot up to meet two ocean blue eyes staring right back at me, amusement swirling within them.  I forced a confident look on my hyperventilating face, despite the fact that my heart was struggling to break out of my chest. I tried to say something but my mind was working in a haze ,the pain still making my ears ring. Not seeming to find my voice I settled on glaring at him.

He smirked at my reaction. His expression amused.

" Welcome to the Core."
