Trainining

I have been thinking about what I heard however long ago. Who are The Intelligent? Why do these Men want to empower them?

My thoughts are interrupted by my trainer, who is back in my room.

"Alright. Today you are going to think of a topic you have already Seen, and try to See it again," my trainer told me.

I thought about Elemental #142... the little girl... who can read minds... No use. I open my eyes, take a deep breath, and close my eyes and think hard about her. Soon I start to feel my veins buzz...

My trainer is with her. There are crayons and paper on the table. She is coloring a picture of bunnies.

"Alright. This time, I want you to look at my face, then draw a picture. It can be of anything you want," my trainer tells her.

"Okay," she replies.

She grabs another piece of paper and draws her family. Her parents and siblings are laying on the floor with a man pointing a gun at them. To the side she is standing as another man is pointing a gun at her. My trainer sees this.

"Here, drink some water," he tells her. A few minutes after she takes a sip she start giggling. Now she draws a fat cat singing. The man smiles. Now she draws her and my trainer. They are both smiling. The girl starts giggling again.

"What is so funny, Pansy?" the trainer asks her lightly.

"Your thoughts," she says.

"Yes, I am funny. You know what Pansy? You and I are friends. You can trust me,"he said. No no no no no. Don't trust him.

"Okay," Pansy said...

"What did you see?" my trainer asks.

"A little girl I know. And I guess you do too..." I replied, the last part trailing off, almost inaudible.

"What was that?"

I knew I had to be careful with my words. Even though his boss threatened him, he doesn't seem the type to still not hurt me if I disobeyed him, or said the wrong thing.

"I just saw a little girl. That's all."

"Okay. Well, I need to go, so that is all for today. Don't get into trouble," he said. I wondered that if he were someone I was close with, if he would say that as a joke, and we both laugh. That was most definitely not the case. He said those last words dead serious, as if if he told me not to get in trouble, it would go against normality and I wouldn't get in trouble.

It seemed like he knew that am a troublemaker, even though I am not. But the more I think about, the more it seems like I have been since arriving here.

Maybe I could change that. I know I need to escape. If I be a good girl for awhile, my trainer might think I have learned my lesson. Then he would not be expecting my sudden change.

Unless he does know me. Maybe he somehow knows that I am not a troublemaker, that I just want out of here. But how would he know that? If there kids here who can read minds, who knows if these people can't do the same?

It wasn't until then did I realize that I had no idea what I was up against.
