Chapter 26.
「 Yaoyorozu's POV 」
I felt nervous as I sat in the limousine on my way towards the camp site. Aizawa had been kind enough to let us take a break from classes until the dormitory had been repaired, on the promise that we would do at least some homework until his classes were back to normal. I guessed that he also needed a break from the class' constant commotion. In a way, I really respected teachers, considering the amount of headaches they would be getting after working hours with all the children, and grown adults, they deal with on a daily basis.
I looked outside the tinted window of the limousine and saw the heavy rain slamming against the window, the sound was calming. I felt tired already, the heat of the inside of the limousine really helping that case. I sighed a bit and saw the landscape whoosh past, it was a somewhat of a long drive, considering that it was placed in the woods, but I had gotten used to the long drives after all of the family moments that we had at that camp site, as well as the patrons that worked alongside my fathers company that used to come here. I remember how many times I had been forced out here with my father for some stupid party that I never wanted to attend in the first place.
The talk about the camp site being close to the U.A grounds wasn't a complete lie, but it wasn't all the truth either. It was positioned in the middle of a forest, and it was the forest that was closer to the U.A grounds, not the actual camp site. I shook my head slightly and rubbed my arms, a shiver going through my body at the thought of stepping outside in the pouring rain. I had brought an umbrella, thankfully, but the moisture in the air would still set into my hair, and the mud would probably stain my shoes as well.
After 10 minutes on a small road going through the woods, the driver stopped right outside a gate with a sign hanging from the top of it, the name of the campsite being written on it. I saw the howling wind blow the sign around violently.
The driver turned to me and asked, "Do you need help with your bags, miss?" his tone was polite and tired.
I smiled gently at him and shook my head, "no thank you, I think that I'll be fine on my own."
The driver nodded and stepped out of the car, getting my suitcase out of the back of the trunk, taking it to the side of the limousine before opening the car door and helping me out of the car. He bowed and I thanked him before he got back into the limousine and drove off, leaving me with my umbrella and suitcase in front of the big gates that lead to the camp site.
I sighed and started to walk on the stone path that lead up to the front of the gate, I let go of the handle of my suitcase and put my hand on the cold bars that belonged to the front gate, slowly managing to push it open, the hinges squealing in agony as they opened.
I huffed a bit and grabbed the handle to my suitcase again and started to walk into the main area of the camp site. Hearing the rain smatter against the top of my umbrella and pour down around me, I walked on the stone path until I came to a fountain that served as an indication that there was three ways to go from there, to the left to one of the housing cabins, to the right, to the other housing cabin, and straight forward, to the main cabin that held the kitchen, living room, as well as a few changing rooms that led out to two different hotsprings, as well as a pool a bit further down from the main building.
I walked around the fountain that was being filled with the rain water, making it overflow slightly. I continued to make my way towards the steps that led up to the main cabin, that was where I had told all of my friends to come when they arrived at the campsite, however I thought that I was alone, considering that when I got to the front of the main cabin, the front door was locked.
I fidgeted with the keys my father had given me until I found the correct one and stuck it into the keyhole, twisting it and hearing a click to confirm that the door had indeed been unlocked. I twisted the doorknob and watched in satisfaction as the door swung open without any protests from the hinges. I walked inside and closed the door after me, looking down at my shoes, they were covered in mud.
I let out another sigh and closed the umbrella, putting it into a holder for just that, umbrellas. I slipped my shoes off and put them aside, walking further into the warmth of the cabin, I took a deep breath and felt the familiar scent that always hung over these cabins, it smelled like a forest inside of them, I smiled gently and looked around, I saw the huge couches that were covered in silk, the big fireplace that had a flatscreen TV hanging above it, the candles that were placed on the fireplace as well as on the coffeetable.
I looked to my side and saw the waterfalls that were installed into the walls to give the whole place a more comfortable and calming feeling.
I decided to sit down on one of the couches and close my eyes for a bit, I had to wait for my classmates to arrive so we could all start dividing everyone into different rooms in the housing cabins.
Mmm, yes, another chapter already? YUP! I'm not writing this on my phone anymore, but using a laptop, so now I am much, MUCH quicker with my writing.
Another question before I leave you with this chapter, do you want longer chapters or do you want me to stick with these short chapters that I usually write? Thanks in advance <33
