Chapter 1 v2
Jaune Arc, a scion of the Arc Family, an ancient family of warriors from Remnant, only wanted to help people. He wanted to be a warrior like his father and his father before him. But fate would not let him do so. While his parents doted on him along with his seven sisters, they forbade him from training to be a huntsman.
Jaune hated it! He was not some toy that was fragile enough to be broken quite easily! No! He was an Arc! A child of two hunters well-known in their community!
"I wish that I listened to my parents more," Jaune whispered as he found himself standing all alone in the vast expanse of the sky, atop the white-gold tower. The young man was covered head to toe in Blood.
His white surcoat over his steel plate clung to the metal as the blood of Daedra and his own seeped over it.
"You... did well..." Holding the sword of the Crusader, the weapon of his predecessor and the first Divine Crusader, Jaune looked at the downed form of his foe.
Umaril the Unfeathered. The last of the Ayleid sorcerer-kings, the slavemaster, and the champion of Meridia.
Unsure as to how he could converse with the last Ayleid, the second Divine Crusader grimaced as he felt his broken ribs ache. The siege tired him out and it allowed Umaril to match him. His armor and shield dispersed the Slavemaster's magic while his blade and mace damaged the ancient Elf or Mer as they are called in Tamriel.
"I lost... Meridia... I know my death is near... true death." Umaril whispered as Jaune looked down on the Slavemaster. Blue eyes, once filled with innocence, looked coldly at the last Ayleid. "Tell me your name... young Crusader."
"Jaune, Jaune Arc," Jaune replied as he knelt on the ground, holding Umaril's form gently despite the fierce battle to the death they just had.
"I... thank you... for the great battle." Umaril whispered as his hands reached for the shattered helm, revealing golden-tanned skin and a face with beautiful features. "Pelinal chose well..."
As the light left the Slavemaster's eyes. The Second divine Crusader watched as Umaril the Unfeathered, the last Sorcerer-King and Ayleid alive, took his last breath. Jaune felt the entirety of Umaril was destroyed, never to reform once more. The soul form of Umaril in his hands crumbled away and the shriek of a familiar voice echoed in his mind.
The young man looked at the greatsword of his foe. Bloody gauntlets held the handle as his other hand held his sword.
"Well done, knight," Turning around, Jaune's eyes widened as he saw the sight in front of him.
"You're!"
Blue eyes snapped open as the sight of countless trees and green leaves filled their vision. The scent of the earth and its inhabitants filled his nose. Where was he? What happened?
Why was he so high up the ground?
Deciding to answer those questions later, the Second Divine Crusader raised his head and saw a spear of bronze pinning him on a tree by his... Hoodie!? What the hell?! With ease, the young man grabbed the spear and yanked it off its position before casting a spell on himself and landing on the ground as gracefully as Master Acrobat Khajiit.
Blue eyes met with a lighter shade of blue. With the Bronze spear in hand, the young man looked at the young woman in front of him as the memories came back. "Sup, Snow Angel?" As if on instinct, the words came out of his mouth, making the girl scowl and turn the other way.
Watching her go, the young Knight heard a familiar voice cheering 'You came back!' Weird.
'Well, not as weird as my errand from Sheogorath,' Jaune thought as he raised his spear at the slightest ruffling of leaves and into a beautiful red-haired young woman clad in... 'That's an impractical set of armor,' Jaune thought as the young woman looked at him like a deer caught in headlights.
"Jaune?" The woman asked as the two looked at each other. Nervously looking at Jaune, the young redhead looked at the young man as their eyes met. "Do you... have any spots left on your team?"
Ozpin, a man who looks like he is middle-aged with tousled silver hair and thin brown eyes. He has a light complexion and sharp facial features. Dressed in an unzipped black suit over a dark green, buttoned green vest, and green shirt, he stood on a cliff overlooking a forest with one hand on a rectangular device and the other on the handle of a mug.
Focusing his attention on his scroll, Ozpin looked at the video recording of several teams. Keeping an eye on a duo of two girls with the color schemes of Black and red and White and blue.
'This year's batch will be very interesting,' Ozpin thought with a sip from his cup. A flash of yellow caught his eyes as he focused on a group of two.
Pyrhha Nikos followed her partner through the forest with ease. Shield on hand to gently push some shrubs and plants away while her partner effortlessly waded through the woods with grace. She noticed that while he wore plate armor on his upper half, he was able to move without a sound and he held the sheathed blade on his waist by the pommel.
"We're close," Jaune whispered as a raven landed on his finger. "A few more minutes and we'll be there,"
"Is that your semblance?" Pyrrha asked, looking at Jaune. Semblances take on many forms such as hers. She can use polarity to manipulate any sort of metal.
"Semblance?" Jaune asked, looking at his partner while the Raven on his finger tilted its head.
"Caw?"
"Wait, you don't know your semblance?" Pyrrha asked. While it was true that semblances take a long time to manifest... Unless. "Jaune, do you know what Aura is?"
'Aura? It's a measure of danger or a way to read emotions for some mages,' Jaune thought, remembering his studies during his time in the Mages Guild and under Martin's tutelage when they traveled together. "Of course I do. Do you know what Aura is?"
"Aura is the manifestation of our soul. It bears our burdens and shields our hearts. Have you ever felt you were being watched without knowing that someone was there?" Pyrrha asked, causing Jaune to look at her with cold blue eyes that made her feel as if he was looking deep into her soul.
A young man with long black hair with a magenta stripe on it, stops and narrows his eyes, looking around him while a huge black Grimm serpent rises up from the grass behind him and quickly surrounds him with its large, hissing body. The young man focused and adopted a fighting stance as the snake coiled together in front of him and attacked with its long fangs.
"Sometimes..." Jaune whispered as memories of certain... individuals appeared in his mind. Nodding at this, Pyrrha continued:
"With practice, our Aura can be our shield. Everyone has it, even animals."
"What about the Monsters?" Jaune asked, looking at Pyrrha.
"No. The monsters we fight lack a soul. They are creatures of Grimm, the manifestation of anonymity. They are the darkness, and we are the light."
The young man leaped out of the way, the snake's mouth hitting the ground and instantly coming up again to hit the young man in the air back with its snout. Landing on the ground when the serpent encircled him again, and unleashed a pair of green-bladed pistols before jumping up and firing at the creature
'Kind of too simple, and too... naive,' Jaune thought as he listened to Pyrrha, keeping his mouth shut.
"By baring your soul outward as a force, you can deflect harm. All of our tools and equipment are conduits for Aura. You protect yourself and your soul when fighting."
The young man was unprepared for the white half to hit him with its head, knocking him off as he dropped his weapons, and leaving him to merely raise his arms and distantly cry "No!" to the mouth of the black head
"Like a force field?" Blue eyes met with a pair of green, eager to get their answer as Pyrrha nodded at him.
"Yes, if you want to look at it that way."
The young man held the front fangs of the colossal snake in his hands, glowing a faint, pulsating pink as he gripped the teeth and yanked them from the monster's mouth, causing it to flail away. It attempts to bite him again, but he spun to the side and stabbed a fang into its eye, rotating his arm to deliver a final blow that drives the makeshift weapon into its skull, which ripples, expands, and blows apart in a dark mess as its headless body falls over its fellow creature. Wasting no time, the young man ran right at the white head.
'Wait, anyone with souls can use it?' Jaune thought before he paled significantly. Nervously looking at his raven, the young man gulped. The Daedra he fought during the Oblivion Crisis were already way above regular mortals and highly durable enough. But with aura...
Seeing this, the red-haired Amazoness approached the Blonde and gently reached for the side of his head. Sensing no intent to harm him, the Blonde let the Amazoness do so.
"Now, close your eyes and concentrate."
Briefly, Jaune felt Pyrrha's soul flow like a gentle river and seep into his own. 'So this is Aura? the worm cult and the Mages Guild would love to experiment with this...'
Pyrrha smiled and closed her eyes, opening them as her skin glowed and her irises shrunk before shutting them again.
The second Divine crusader's eyes widened as he saw a faint red glow appear around Pyrrha and a bright white light appeared around him. As their souls connected, Jaune heard Pyrrha's voice.
'For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance and unbound by death.' Soft hands landed on his chest as Jaune felt a dam open in himself... like when he first received it.' I release your soul, and by my shoulder protect thee.'
In an instant, Pyrrha saw something in her mind as she opened her eyes. A beautiful woman surrounded by shadows lovingly embraced her partner from behind as the shadows caressed both of his shoulders. Butterflies flew around him as wolves towered behind him, giving her an intelligent look. An hourglass with Dragon motifs was overlapping with him and a red diamond, surrounded by nine gems, was glowing on his chest as if it was a heart. Twilight shone over him as a mangy dog sat by his feet. A brutal-looking hammer lodged by his feet on the other side of the mangy dog as Roses bloomed over his right hand.
Before she could look at more, deeper inside, An eastern dragon with wings looked at her before it turned into a beautiful lady with hair as beautiful as light far away from Jaune giving her a judging look before turning away with a scoff.
The faint red glow around Pyrrha dimmed and she fell to the ground, sweat covering her entire form.
"Pyrrha?" Hearing the voice of her new partner, she saw a pair of worried blue eyes looking at her.
"It's all right. I used my Aura to unlock yours, but the energy that protects you now is your own." With a grin, Pyrrha looked at Jaune. "You have a lot of it. More than any person I know,"
Instead of a smile, Jaune took a sigh of relief as he helped her stand up.
"We can't stay here," Feeling herself get raised off the ground, Pyrrha looked at her partner with her face slowly turning to the same shade of red as her hair. "Hold on and rest, I'll take us to the temple," Jaune whispered as the raven flew to the sky and eyed the Divine Crusader as he traveled the wood with a woodlander's grace, no Grimm nor animals taking notice of him.
Plot so far
It also follows the plot of Jaune joining the Thieves Guild and Fighters Guild as of 3E 432.
With the heist and theft of the Elder Scrolls impressing Nocturnal, Jaune received Magicka early and became Nocturnal's favored championed. Meaning before the Oblivion Crisis, he was already a part of the Mages Guild.
The Oblivion Crisis lasted from the 27th of Last Seed to the last day of 433 when Mehrunes Dagon invaded Tamriel during Martin's coronation.
Fueled by anger at the loss of his friend, Jaune hunted the remnants of the Mythic Dawn in Cyrodiil from the beginning of the 4th Era until Sun's Height.
The Mages Guild learned of Mannimarco and the Worm Cult during Sun's Dawn of 4E 0 and the war against the Worm Cult ended on the 15th of Second Seed when Jaune killed Mannimarco.
The KotN Storyline happened during the 25th of last Seed and ended with Jaune slaying Umaril on the last day of 4E 0 where Umaril planned to kickstart his invasion with all of Cyrodiil busy celebrating the first year since the end of Oblivion Crisis.
All in all, Jaune was in Tamriel for around 3-4 years, longer than the original where he only stayed for 2-3 years.
As for his skills, he is more experienced and better skilled than originally due to his longer time in Tamriel.
Jaune is a master of Block, Blade, Blunt, Heavy Armor, Alteration, Destruction, Athletics, and Light armor.
He is an expert Armorer, Acrobat, Mysticism, Security, Sneak, Marksman, Speechcraft, Hand to Hand, Conjuration, and Restoration
He is an Adept in illusion, Mercantile, and Alchemy.
Why?
For his mastery, Jaune fought in the Oblivion Crisis using weapons and armor along with destruction and alteration spells. His main affinity is Alteration spells. Since he was always expected to go and fight, he always wore armor all the time, either light or Heavy. For his sneaking skills, he has been a thief and Gray fox far longer, allowing them to be more developed while his conjuration knowledge was increased since Martin gave him his journal of what he knows about conjuration to allow him to combat the Daedra and plan accordingly. Restoration is an expertise of his since he always used to rely on it before he became better skilled.
Remember, in terms of Magic skills, it only tells up to what level of magic Jaune can cast, not his knowledge. Jaune here is a practical spell caster and has less theoretical knowledge of magic from proper Mages Guild and Arcane University members since his specialty of magic lies more on the Battlemage and Spellsword side.
Also, instead of giving him his relics, I kind of made it so that he only has a few weapons and artifacts from Tamriel, Only those that have a deep connection with him such as a Mage Staff, Mundane Ring, Rign of perfection, and so forth. I.E. Quest rewards and quest or faction-related items. No Daedric artifacts since they tend to pop away.
Just like in the original version, Jaune is capable of killing Salem and Ozpin using the Blessing of Talos. As of now, Jaune here even without Aura, can solo Veteran Huntsmen with ease but overwhelming amounts of highly-skilled people working flawlessly can match and beat him.
thank you guys for reading and understanding, See you soon!
P.S.: Jaune joined all factions available
