I stood in front of the mirror staring at my reflection, this was the tenth outfit that I had changed but nothing really seemed to impress me. I mean I was going out with Khushi, although it wasn't a date or something, it was a big deal for me and I wanted to look my best and just make everything perfect to impress her.

Anjali walked into my room and looked at me then looked at my bed which was full of clothes and then looked back at me.

"Are you cleaning your cupboard or something? Since when do you do that?" She asked.

"I am not, I'm just going out and I don't know what to wear."

"Usually girls say that line but if it's coming from you, I'm curious on where you are going that none of these clothes seem good enough."

"I'm going out with a friend, no big deal." I said.

"A friend that is a girl?"

"Yeah, now don't make a big deal about it."

"Is this the same girl you had a crush on Arnav? If yes, I'm really worried. All these months and you aren't over her and now you're going out with her and making so much efforts. What is she's not interested?"

"Please Anjali, I am happy today, going out with Khushi even as a friend is a big deal for me, don't ruin it by going deeper into it, just let it be." I said.

I mean Khushi and I had just become friends, I dint want to ruin it already, I wanted to take things slow and then maybe one day in the future see what to do about these feelings.

"If you say so. All the best for your date then." She smirked as she walked out of the room.

"It's not a date!" I shouted from behind, she just laughed and walked away. Idiot!

Seriously though, it wasn't a date, it was just two new friends hanging out, me and Khushi, just as friends, right?

I sighed as I stared at my clothes once again, why was it so hard to decide what to wear? I sat down on my bed and grabbed my phone as I decided to text Khushi first.

"Hey there Bindiya." I typed the message and then pressed the send button. Earlier today I had texted her and told her about the plan. I had planned to go bowling with her where we could do a bit of bowling and play some pool and other random games and later I had planned to take her to a restaurant for a dinner.

She said she would meet me at the bowling place so I just wanted to know if she had left yet or not, it was almost time and I was still here deciding what to wear. Seriously Arnav, it was just bowling!

I sighed as I grabbed a white tee and put it on with a faded blue jean, it looked good and dint look like I had spent forever to decide what to wear. Seriously I could have made this decision ages ago, what was I thinking?

"Hey." A message came back with an angry emoji, I just laughed and typed another message.

"Have you left?"

I grabbed my white shoes and put them on and then walked towards my mirror again, I looked pretty good. When in doubt, wear white and blue, you could never go wrong with it.

"Yes, Just left a minute ago." Another text popped up.

"Great, see you in a while." I said as I grabbed my wallet and rushed outside in a hurry, I had to reach there before she did, it would be rude for me to be late and I was the one that had planned this in the first place.

I grabbed my keys from the table in the hall and rushed outside, jumped on my bike and drove off in a hurry. Wow! I was kind of excited to see her even though I had seen her at college today and spent a lot of time with her.

I just could never really get enough of being with her.

I was glad that I arrived earlier than she did, she lived quite far so it wasn't hard to be earlier than her, I rushed inside and decided to wait for her, we'd decide what games to play once she arrived.

I settled down on one of the couches that had been placed around and waited for her nervously, my heart was beating really fast today.

I kept on looking around waiting for her to arrive, according to my calculations, she should already be here, maybe she was just stuck in traffic.

Jeez, Arnav calm down, she will be here any moment from now, just be patient.

I waited a few more minutes and then I finally saw her, I stood up immediately as soon as my eyes landed on her. Everything seemed to have paused for a second, everything around me seemed to disappear, my eyes could only see her and how she was walking towards me with that beautiful smile on her face.

Today she looked completely different, she wasn't the Khushi I had seen everyday, Actually in simple terms, today she was Khushi, not Bindiya.

She was dressed in a black jean and a burgundy top and black heels, it was the first time I was actually seeing her in a western outfit. What had changed today? Was it because she was affected by the bullies in college?

"Hey." She smiled at me.

"Hey." I replied still in awe, this girl could dress anyhow she wanted and she would still look so breathtaking.

"Why are you looking at me like you've seen an alien?" She giggled.

"I've just never seen you dressed this way before... is it because of what happened at college today?" I asked.

"No stupid, I told you I dress like this when I'm in moods to, today I was in moods to wear something western, also I figured if I came bowling in a Patiala, my dupatta was going to get stuck everywhere." She laughed.

"But you came for bowling in heels?"

"As if they don't give you shoes to wear. Seriously Arnav, why are you so confused? You said we'll go for dinner at a restaurant later so I thought heels would be a good option. Now if you're done with the questions, can we go start?" She smiled.

"Okay." I nodded as I followed her to the counter, seriously, this girl never ceases to amaze me, she is always so unpredictable.

We paid for bowling and got the shoes to exchange then headed towards the bowling alley, as soon as our names appeared on the screen, Khushi stood up and rushed excitedly, it looked like she really liked doing this and apparently she was also really good at it.

"Wow, you seem like a pro." I said as she had got all the pins in the first try."

"I used to do this a lot before." She smiled as she sat down.

"Would you like some snacks, maybe some nachos or something?" I asked.

"Sure, I'll order for them, you go, it's your turn." She pushed me, I was just surprised with her so much today, she seemed like a completely different person than she usually was at college and somehow I ended up like her even more than I already did.

Was that even possible?

"You said, you used to do this a lot before, it means you stopped, why did you stop?" I asked as I walked back towards her. She dint say anything, she just smiled and went for her turn, maybe she didn't want to tell me.

This girl was more mysterious than I thought.

"Your turn." She sat down once again and looked at me waiting for me to do my turn but instead I sat there staring at her. I don't even know why I did that.

"You always want answers to everything don't you?" She asked.

"What can I say, I'm a curious person." I shrugged.

"Fine. I used to g for such kind of dates with my ex-boyfriend and then we broke up and I just stopped going out." She sighed. I looked at her in shock. She had a boyfriend? Who was he? Why did they break up? What if he came back into her life once again, would they get back together? That would shatter all my hope.

What was wrong with me, why was I really overthinking everything?
