The silence was quite long, Khushi dint know whether to ask Arnav to say something or just wait until he would say something. This long distance was really messing up with their relationship and it hadn't been even that long since they parted.

They even had a chance to meet in between but the main problem was cause by these two new people in their lives.

"I am sorry, I'm just trying to process things." Arnav finally spoke up.

"If you need time to think about it I can give you space, I wont call you until you're ready to talk to me."

"No, I want to talk to you, it's just that... all this doesn't make sense Khushi."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that I love you Khushi, and you love me too, right?"

"Right."

"So why are we fighting Khushi?"

"I don't know, maybe it's insecurities. I mean look I've met Saira, she is so pretty so obviously I will be insecure that you might end up falling for her and that kind of scares me Arnav." Khushi explained.

"I feel the same way about Jake Khushi, I just... I never said anything because I knew it was pointless, I was jealous of him. We both were jealous and insecure, but that doesn't change anything right? We still love each other."

"I know. I think we just need to communicate more."

"I agree... promise me no matter who you meet in your life, you will always love me?"

"I will Arnav... my heart chose you, and just because I meet other new people that you think might be perfect doesn't mean I'll stop loving you.

Love doesn't work like that right? Imagine if I leave you and go with jake because he is good looking or whatever then in the future I meet someone else more good looking that him, and the cycle continues, I would never settle. The heart choses who it wants to love and my heart chose you, and just because we had communication problems doesn't mean I'll leave you right?

The same way, I believe Saira is so pretty and I feel scared too that you might leave me for her but I know you love me and I trust you, there is always going to be someone much better out there, you just have to find someone that's better for you and ignore everyone else, that is what love is." Khushi said.

"Wow, I am the writer but you are the one stating facts." Arnav giggled.

"I am serious Arnav." Khushi pouted.

"So am I Khushi. I love you baby, it's always going to be you. I don't care who is out there, for me you're always going to be the girl I fell in love with, you're perfect for me just the way you are, you are my talkative girl who else would I fall in love with anyway? I am really sorry for the mistakes I made, I promise from now onwards, we will communicate and if anything bothers either of us, we will tell each other, Okay?"

"Okay I promise, we won't let anything else affect us like this, we will make us work."

"So... how do we go from here onwards? Will you still talk to Jake? I am so sure I don't need anything to do with Saira after the stunt she pulled."

"I don't know, I haven't even thought about it, I called you right after the moment, I just wanted ot tell you... so you tell me what you want, do you want me to stop talking to him?"

"It's your choice Khushi, I don't want to choose your friends for you, if you want to keep talking to him just make sure he knows not to try touching you ever again, that's all I ask for."

"Okay."

"Anyway, I've got to go, Shaina is calling, talk to you later?"

"Yeah, bye."

Khushi dint move once she was done with the call, she just kept on sitting in the same position she was, looking around. A bit further from her was Jake, with a group of boys, they were all talking about something and just smiling, she kept on staring at Jake, how every time he would run his hand through his hair and the bite his lower lip, it made him look really hot, but that was it.

He was pleasing to her eyes, but even though she found him really good looking, she never had any inappropriate thoughts towards him, he was beautiful to her eyes only and that was how she knew, no matter who came into her life, no matter how good looking, she was always going to love Arnav.

There was never going to be anyone else that was going to make her feel like Arnav did, that tickly kind of a feeling, the butterflies he gave her. She could meet a hundred good looking guys but her heart was always going to choose Arnav, and that was how she knew she had found her fairytale, the kind of love she had always dreamt of, the kind of love that couldn't be broken by anything.

In life, what's pleasing to our eyes doesn't mean it's always going to be pleasing to our mind also, and maybe this was a lesson Jake and Saira came to teach them, they came to teach them that there was always going to be someone better out there, you just had to find the one that was good for you and believe they were the perfect one for you otherwise we were just going to waste our whole life trying to find better than we already had and the chase was never going to end.

As usual, after her classes were over, Rudra came to pick her up and they headed home, the entire day today she had avoided Jake, at this point she wasn't even sure if she wanted to keep on talking to him or not.

"You are awfully silent today, is everything okay?" Rudra looked at her worriedly.

"Yeah." Khushi nodded.

"You know I know when you're lying. Tell me what happened Khushi. Did anyone at college say something to you? Or did Arnav do something?"

"No... I'm sure you would be hoping for us to break up but nothing like that is going to happen." Khushi rolled her eyes.

"I am your brother Khushi, not your enemy. Why would I want you to break up? I know we weren't happy with your relationship in the beginning but you love him, and I would always wish for it to turn out well, I just need to be sure he is the right guy for you."

"Then why did you bring me here? So far away from him? You have no idea how hard this long distance is."

"And this distance is the one that's going to tell you whether you really love him or it's just a stupid teenage crush."

"Seriously? We've been together for over and year now, if it was a stupid crush it would have ended in a few months."

"Then why let the distance bother you? Distance only makes the love deeper, and if you two love each other you don't have to worry about distance."

"Say the guy that hasn't ever been in love." She frowned, she wished she could go back home and just be with Arnav but she had a lot of time to complete her studies and then go back for good.

"So is that boyfriend of yours being nice to you or do I need to punch him on the face" Rudra smirked.

"I hate you, you're so mean." Khushi as she folded her arms and pretended to be mad at him.

"I'm kidding, so far he seems like a nice guy if he continues being that nice, I would take you back to him soon, not for good though, you still have to study but I'll take you to visit him whenever you have holidays." Rudra smiled.

"Promise?"

"Look at you, so stupidly in love." He laughed at her.

"You would know when you fall in love too." Khushi smiled happily.

At least with time her brothers were coming to realize that Arnav was a good guy and he dint have any bad intentions towards her, and that was progress.

It was like all their relationships were progressing, her relation with Arnav, with her brothers and her brother's relation with Arnav, which was good news.

She couldn't wait for holidays so that she could finally have a chance to get back home and see him and spend as much time as possible with him.

As soon as the arrived home, Khushi headed to her room to freshen up deciding she would later call him and tell him about the talk she had had with Rudra.

She took a quick shower and got dressed then lied down on her bed ready to text him when she noticed she had a text from an unknow number. She opened it, it had an image which she downloaded.

It was an image of Arnav and Saira, she was sleeping beside him and seeing that, just broke her heart. Did Arnav lie to her? Did nothing really happen between them? If so why was she sleeping beside her? Suddenly, she felt like all her dreams were shattering and she dint know what to do about it anymore. She had trusted him, she believed him when he said nothing had happened, so why was he sleeping beside her?
