Part 2

"Who is she?" Arnav asked his cousin sister Shaina who was still standing beside him. He kept on looking at Khushi meanwhile, for some reason he couldn't just take his eyes off her.

She was holding her ears and making such cute faces at her friend, while the wind slightly hit her fringes that would come over her face which she tried to blow off with her mouth.

"She's our head girl, she's good but can be rude sometimes, why do you like her?" Shaina smirked at him.

"She's cute but not my type, she seems very childish. She was threatening me that she would go complain about me to the principal." Arnav laughed.

"Oh really, just because you've already turned eighteen doesn't mean you are mature, oh by the way I think she also turns eighteen next month, so you both are on the same level of maturity." Shaina laughed.

"Whatever, still she's not my type." Arnav rolled his eyes.

"Then what's your type Arnav?" Shaina wiggled her eyebrows as she looked at him trying to know his type.

"I'll tell you when I find one. I'm soon joining college, I might find my type of girl there." Arnav smirked.

"You still have three months left for college, you still have to go back and finish your final exams." Shaina said.

"It's okay, I'm in no hurry. Okay now enough of our talks, go to class, I sorted out all your problems, I'll see you at home in the evening, you better come home early so I can see you before I leave."

"Don't worry, I'll be on time." Shaina smiled as she ran away. Arnav turned around to walk away but then turned back once again just to look at Khushi who was still making those really cute faces and holding her ears apologizing to her friend.

"Cute." Arnav said to himself as he laughed and walked away.

Arnav walked into the house and found his aunt, Padmini seated in the hall busy watching some daily soap on the TV, he walked towards her and sat down beside her. Padmini was his dad's younger sister and she lived in Mumbai city while he and his dad lived in a small town known as Shimla which was a very beautiful town and a lot of tourists liked to visit.

"Did you manage to help Shaina?" Padmini asked.

"Yeah, it was just a small problem." Arnav said.

"Oh great, and did you visit the college? The one you want to join after school?"

"Yeah, I passed by on my way back here, I even met the dean and talked to him, he said there's no way I can't get in unless I score really bad in my finals which isn't going to happen because I am very clever." Arnav smirked.

"That you are. I can't wait for you to finally come live with us, I'll get the son I never had." Padmini smiled.

"I know, I'll also get the mother and sister I never had, dad is usually away from home." Arnav shrugged.

"Well he works for the country he has to be away most of the times, but don't worry Arnav, you will feel at home here." Padmini assured him. He nodded positively as he pulled his phone from the pocket and started scrolling while his aunt continued watching TV.

Arnav had grown up in a very small town with his father only, he lost his mother when he was really young and since then he had lived alone most of the times as his father was in the army and he had to be on duty most of the times, and now that he was finally finishing his high school, his father decided to send him to live with his aunt so he could study further and have a family by his side too.

Arnav dint have much demands from life, he was happy with what he got, he was a very simple kind of a person. He loved writing so in his free time he would write short stories or poems and stuff and post them on his Instagram page which was followed by a lot of people who liked his writing, he inspired to be a writer in the future.

He was just a simple small town boy with a dream of becoming a writer someday in the future.

After school, Khushi walked to the parking lot with Suman where Prem was already waiting to pick her up.

"See your future boyfriend is here." Khushi teased Suman.

"Shut up. There's nothing like that. You are just getting really spoilt." Suman blushed as she slapped Khushi on her arm playfully.

"You know in the morning when bro told me he has a crush on you I thought it was one sided only, but since I pushed you onto his laps, I think its two sided since you can't stop blushing whenever I mention him." Khushi giggled.

"You better shut up or I'll tell your brother that you talked to a guy today." Suman blackmailed.

"Excuse me, which guy did I talk to?" Khushi asked as she put both her hands on her waist and looked at her frowning. She was her best friend and she was supposed to be by her side and not her brother's side.

"The one you hit and then fell down, who was he by the way? He was very hot." Suman laughed.

"Hot huh? Should I tell Prem that you find that guy hot? My brother would burn." Khushi laughed. "And just for your kind information, I wasn't talking to him duh." She rolled her eyes and opened the door as she got inside the car.

"Bro, say goodbye to Suman." Khushi giggled making both Suman and Prem blush again. Prem pretended to look like he wasn't affected at all as he waved at Suman who waved back and then he drove off giving Khushi angry glares.

"I can see you are becoming very mischievous nowadays." Prem said as he looked at Khushi seriously.

"Oh bro come on, I know you liked what I did." Khushi giggled. Imagine the girl you've been admiring from far for so long suddenly falls on your laps. How romantic, just like the movies."

"Shut up, don't you ever dare do this again. I was serious when I said I want nothing to happen between us Khushi, even in the morning you said you wouldn't let anything happen between us because we don't let you talk to guys and then the next thing you do is push her to me." Prem looked at her angrily.

"Because unlike you, I don't deny people the chance of finding love." Khushi said.

"Love! Love! Love! Why are you so obsessed with it Khushi? Isn't our love enough for you?" Prem asked.

"Let it be, a guy who can let go of his feelings like you do wouldn't understand it anyway."

"The problem is that you don't understand us Khushi. We are your brothers, not some villains in your life, whatever we are doing is for your good." Prem said. Khushi dint say anything after that, she just sat silently in the car frowning like a baby.

To say to the world, her brothers were the best brothers, they loved her, cared for her, always put her first but God knows why they never let her talk to a guy. She remembered one time Rudra found her talking to some guy on the street, he got so mad he even punched the guy, which scared Khushi really bad. She decided never to talk to a guy after that, first of all because her brothers dint want her to and secondly she knew what would happen to the guy if she was caught talking to one, she dint want someone to get hurt because of her.

It seemed like her dream of finding her first love was always going to remain just a dream because she clearly had no idea why her brothers had so much problems with her talking to a guy.

They had always let her do what she wanted and never said no for anything apart from this, maybe they had their own reasons, but at least if they could tell her about it, she could try to understand why they were doing this to her.

In this time when almost all her classmates had boyfriends, she dint even have a boy who was just a friend, all she wanted was to be like everyone else, and to find the love she had always watched in the movies, why was that something really bad for her brothers though?

"Why did you stop the car, we aren't home yet?" Khushi asked Prem as she looked around realizing they were in a parking lot.

"I promised you I'll take you shopping, I keep my promises." Prem said.

"I don't want to shop, go shop alone." Khushi pouted, Prem looked at her and sighed.

"I am sorry I got mad Khushi. Please understand me, I want the best for you little sister. We have always given you what you asked for haven't we?" Prem asked.

"Yeah." Khushi nodded, it was true, they had always given her whatever she asked for.

"Now cheer up, let's go some shopping. Once your school is done we'll go somewhere for holiday, so you can buy some good clothes for that too."

"That sounds exciting, okay let's go." Khushi said excitedly as she stepped out of the car forgetting everything and just wanting to shop with her brother.

They walked into the first shop inside because Khushi spotted a beautiful simple Indian dress which she really wanted to buy, so she headed in with Prem.

"I'll go try this, wait here for me." She said as she headed to the changing room and changed into the dress, it was a yellow Patiala dress that looked really elegant on her. She walked out to show her brother how beautiful the dress was.

"So, what do you think?" She asked as she flaunted the dress.

Prem who was seated stood up and looked at her in awe, she looked really pretty, of course she was very pretty but Khushi rarely wore Indian clothes, she was usually in school uniform or western clothes most of the times.

Now that she was dressed like this, she looked so much like her mother, of course she wouldn't realize that, but her brother did.

"You reminded me of mom." Prem said.

"Oh bro, come on, now isn't the time to be emotional." Khushi walked towards him and hugged him tight.

"Now that you like it so much, we are buying it and I'm not even changing back." Khushi giggled.

"Great." Prem said as he walked towards the counter to make the payment.

*****

"Your mom doesn't want me to leave, I'm sure I'll miss my train." Arnav complained to Shaina as they rushed inside the mall.

After Shaina came back from school and Arnav was all set to leave for the station, Padmini suddenly remembered that she hadn't bought any gift for her brother and so she forced Shaina and Arnav to pass by the mall and get a shirt for him before Arnav headed to the station.

"If you think mom is going to let you go just like that, you are wrong my dear brother." Shaina said as they both tried to find the shop from where they could buy a good shirt for Arnav's dad.

"Look in that shop, I'll look in this one." Shaina said as she entered into one of the shops while Arnav walked a bit ahead to check in the other shop hoping to find a shirt soon or he was definitely going to miss his train.

On the other side, Khushi and Prem walked out of the shop after buying the dress when Khushi thought of something.

"I've got an idea, how about we buy four matching tee for the four of us, it will be great to wear them together someday." Khushi suggested as she looked at Prem excitedly, the four of them had never worn matching clothes before so this sounded like a great idea.

"Sounds like an idea, there's a shop with good Tee's let's check there." Prem said as he pointed towards a shop, to which Khushi nodded and followed him to the shop.

Prem entered inside the shop because he was walking really fast so Khushi had to kind of run to catch up with him, coincidentally by the time she walked in, she and Arnav happened to have entered in at the exact same time, Khushi who was still trying to catch up with Prem was suddenly pulled back.

She turned and looked behind wondering where her veil was stuck and when she turned she found Arnav standing there with his hand held out in air and her veil stuck in his watch.

Kitne durr durr ho, unn dono ke raaste...
Miljate hai jo bane ek duje ke vaaste...

Khushi just stood there trying hard to control her giggles, she had seen such kind of scenes in movies a lot of time and although she did believe in a lot of movies stuff, she always found this kind of scenes to be stupid where the girl's veil would get stuck in the guy's watch, it seemed so impossible, but now that it had happened to her she was quite surprised.

Us rab ne jab dil diye... dil ke do tukde kiye...
Dono pe ek naam likha... ek Radha ek Shyam likha...

Before either of them could try to pull out the veil from the watch, Prem called Khushi's name out and Khushi being scared of her brother's reaction in case he saw her even looking at a guy let alone finding her veil stuck in his watch, she just rushed away not caring about the veil which teared apart a bit leaving the remaining piece of cloth on Arnav's watch.

Ab yeh dil dhadakte hai... milte aur bichadte hai...
Ek duje ke vaaste... Ek duje ke vaaste...

Arnav kept on staring at Khushi who was now rushing towards her brother but every other second she would turn around to look at him, he had no idea why but seeing her in school and then right now, there seemed to be a lot of difference in the girl he met at school and then one he met here, right now she dint look like a teenager who was in school, but a mature young lady, maybe it was because of the way she was dressed. He brushed off his thoughts when Shaina's voice interrupted him.

"Arnav, I found a shirt." Shaina called out from the other shop.

Arnav looked at Khushi one last time before he rushed towards Shaina, he looked at his watch, he had half an hour before his train left so he had to hurry up.

"See I found some matching Tee's" Prem said as Khushi took a look at the Tee's trying not to think about what had just happened.
