There's a thing about the ocean that scares you but also calms you in a way that nothing else can. The way the waves crash against the shore. The sound almost rhythmically, lulling you into a sleep like daze, the way your favourite childhood lullaby used to make you fall asleep. Suddenly the urge to surrender is there. Like somehow the salty air, the wind that blows over the ocean carries a key which unlocks us and then sets us free. A key that makes us run wild and free and fall madly in love with it. And each time another wave hits us, we fall even deeper into it. Until we fully surrender, welcoming the embrace of it, without being in fear anymore. Without worrying that it's waves are going to destroy us. That they are going to take us with them and leave nothing behind, except the memory of a person that once was there and isn't anymore .
