2-Hendall

"Anne!" my mother greeted Anne, Harry's mother, with a big sincere friendly smile, as she stepped forward, passing the door frame, into her direction.

They were both hugging each other tightly, and it was pleasurable to see how happy they were to see each other, as I stood aside, letting them enjoying this friendly moment.

"It's been too long, Diane" Harry's mother said to my mother. They're actually good friend, and used to spend more time together.

Despite the success, and the money, Harry's mother had remained who she was and kept being very down on earth. She didn't turn her back to the people she knew, before all the fame happened, and she was honestly grateful for what fate had brought to her family. That's why she was spending a lot of her time helping people, committing herself in charity projects... She was working hard, to make a good use of her son's celebrity, and she was succeeding in it.

She also had invited us at her wedding when she married Robin. So, Harry's family and mine were quiet close for a very long time, as we used to be neighbors. The number of Sundays we spent making barbecues in each other back yards were uncountable.

Anne had always been someone truly kind. The way she was behind Harry while he was trying to pursue his dreams was very pleasant to see. She had been nothing but supportive, having his son's back, every time he was doubting, failing, and succeeding. She agreed to be filmed and seen on TV when Harry auditioned to participate at X Factors, 6 years ago. That's how Harry and the others had been known.

She was there, when he didn't get through... and when all the craziness started.

To me, Anne had always been that kind of mums, wo was loving her children with unconditional love, making everything in her power to make them happy, even if she didn't have much at that time.

To be honest, as a child, I used to be kind of jealous, that she was pushing her kids to pursue their dreams, and passions, while my mother was always pressuring me, instead.

Anyway,

Once in a while, they threw parties at their house and invited everyone from their old neighborhoods, and from their new one.

Surprisingly, everyone enjoyed the time spent together, even if they were coming from complete different worlds. Even if people got along easily, it lasted only one night, and everyone went back with their way of life afterwards.

When they both pulled apart, they both turned their face, to look at me.

"Emma, you look absolutely stunning, dear!" Anne kindly said, as she hugged me as well, her crystal glass of champagne in one hand.

She was squeezing me so tight, she meant it.

"Thanks Anne, you look stunning too" She was wearing a beautiful king blue color dress, it was couture obviously, and her hair was styled in a very elegant bun.

I smiled, at her and returned the compliment. She was utterly glowing.

How could this lady be always so kind with everyone? She'd always had a smile on her face, not matter what, showing her dimples that Harry got if from.

"Well, we should go inside, the party is better in there, than on the doorstep" she offered, still smirking, and she shoved her hand to show us the way.

We followed Anne in the entryway.

The ceiling was so high, that I couldn't stop staring at it, lifting my head up, without paying attention at my surroundings. There was a beautiful and luxury chandelier, lighting the spacious hallway/foyer, as the walls and ceiling were painted in white, making the room very bright.

The house was decorated in a very sophisticated way, it was a beautiful mix of modern and vintage furniture. They had a lot of taste, but it felt comfortable and cozy.

When I lifted down my head, to look at my environment, my mother had left with Anne so quickly, I was now by myself. She loved those parties, she liked meeting rich people, it was reminding her the life she had had. Besides, I'd always suspected her that she was expecting that one of those single rich guy could notice her, and be into her. So, she wouldn't bother spending time with me, and I didn't mind. It was her night, she deserved to have fun and live the life she wanted, even for one night.

"Hey, Emma" a voice coming from behind me called my name.

Immediately, I recognized this voice and turned around, to meet Niall. His thick Irish accent was very notable.

"Niall! I didn't know you would be here!" I greeted him, hugging him, as his hands patted my back.

"You know, we're on a hiatus, and we still spend a lot of time together" he laughed at the situation. They needed time apart, but they kept hanging out, a lot.

Hearing his funny laugh made me laugh. The way Niall smiled and laughed was making you forget what's wrong in your life and laugh right away. It was truly contagious.

"Good!" I meant it, everyone was so worried that they would split when they announced they were doing a break from One Direction to chill and figure out what was coming for them, as solo. Besides, when Zayn left, it was like a nuclear bomb for the fandom. So it was a relief to hear that they all still get along with each other, and kept spending time together even if they're leading different projects.

"Are the others here too?" I asked, curious to know if they'd be the all band tonight.

"Yeah, Louis and Liam are here, they're probably drinking too much somewhere, and obviously there's Harry". He grinned, taking a sip of his drink.

I felt a sting in my stomach as he pronounced Harry's name.

"Do you wanna drink something?" he offered me, shoving his drink. I simply nodded and we headed to the bar to order myself a Martini.

Taking a sip of my drink, Niall and I sat on two stools and kept catching up. It was great to hear all the projects he had ahead of him. The way he was handling his golf project. He tried to seem interesting in my stories, because he was truly kind with people. I'd always thought that he had such a pure heart. I was glad that he had found this girl, Celine, who was making him happy, for sure. I couldn't wait to meet her.

Yes, I knew all the members of One Direction.

As I mentioned earlier, Harry and I used to be friends, and more.

We were very close friends when we were kids, and more when teenagers. Things happened from time to time, sometimes serious, but more often casual.

So we used to hang out a lot, and spend a lot of time all together. I had the chance to follow them for several shows on tours over the years and it was truly amazing experiences. I'd been with them on every holidays I had since they started their singing career. But now that things were complicated with Harry, since last summer and all the drama, we all kept our distance for a while.

But being at parties like this one, we couldn't just stay away and only being polite with each other. We obviously, needed to catch up, and spend good time together.

When we're together, it's like old times and we're just youth people, enjoying and having fun with friends, no matter if some of them were international popstars, or anonymous, like me.

Niall and I didn't notice the time and we kept chatting and drinking when a shadow came to sight at the corner of my eye.

I could notice his frame from miles away, Harry had always had such a presence when he entered a room. Every eyes were on him in a second. He was captivating all the intention towards him.

My heart started to pound hastily.

Hearing his deep raspy voice, and intense British accent, from across the room, made me turn, to look at him. It was that time of the evening; I'd have to face to be in the same room as him. I got lucky to have that much time away from him for once, I was able to avoid him for like two hours.

Turning around to prepare to say Hi, the view in front of me made me hold my breath. He was wearing a flowery tuxedo, probably one of Gucci's that he liked so much, white shirt, and black waxed moccasins. He was very elegant and the red color of his outfit fitted perfectly with his emerald green eyes. I laughed at his hair, he was wearing long hair for a while now, but nowadays it was at the level of his shoulders. But he looked incredibly attractive, the way he pushed his hair back on the side of his head was the hottest thing on earth, besides his perfect jawline and dimples.

He noticed my glare and turned his face, to look at me. We looked like two numb people, staring at each other. It was like time had frozen. Niall had noticed my discomfort, but didn't know what to do, and kept sitting next to me, drinking his beer.

Harry and I kept staring at each other for a few seconds.

After a short time, he started to walk in my direction, a drink in one hand and the other one dug in his pocket, when a woman figure appeared by his side, making him stop his way.

At the sight of who she was, I felt my knees getting weak.

Kendall.

Thin, long legs, super model, wearing a thousand dollars' dress, absolutely beautiful Kendall, was here, tonight.

That was my luck.

People shipping them, were calling them Hendall, which was making me sick every time I heard it.

I had to calm down, but I couldn't help that pain feeling spreading in my bloodstream.

And when Kendall kissed Harry on the cheek, obviously showing off and marking her territory. I just let my drink drop on the floor, drawing the attention of the crowd on me in a matter of seconds, when my glass crashed on the wooden floor, representing what was happening inside of me, I just had been shattered in a million of pieces.
