The first thing he could hear was the sound of someone's singing. Someone's gentle voice fluctuating in a beautiful melody.
Then, his bright blue eyes popped open, and he could no longer hear it. He was in a green, hexagon shaped cell, and as he rolled over and stood up, he grunted, holding his eye in pain, which was black and bruised, only able to open part of the way. In the distance, he could hear someone grunting angrily. "Isabel? Sakura?" He called, his eyes widened as he remembered two gems falling the ground. "Madeline." He whispered with wide eyes. "Where are they?" He got up, and ran to the front of the cell, which was sealed with a yellow sheet of light, a laser wall. "Whoa..." He muttered, looking down the aisle of the ship, but seeing no one, only hearing the same grunting, which turned to a scream.
He looked at the laser wall, sticking his hands in and jumping back on reflex, only to find that it didn't hurt. He struck one finger in, and watching as yellow lines traveled up his nerves, but appeared to do no damage. "Ewww." He giggled, sticking his whole arm in. "Cool!" He stepped through, causing a vibration to shake him until he was all the way out, and he shivered, before turning back to the cell.
"I'm out." He stated to no one but himself, before cheering loudly. "OKAY, where is everybody?" He ran down the aisle, looking from cell to cell, which were all off and empty, before he stumbled across one that was on, and paused. Inside was a smaller girl, with blonde pigtails. She was covering her face, and from what Alfred could tell, she had pale skin, and was wearing a red uniform.
"Um, hello?" He inquired, leaning forward slightly. "Are... You okay?" She jumped, putting her hands up again the wall, revealing bright green eyes covered by a pair of glasses. She stared at Alfred for a second, her eyes wide, before she punched the wall angrily, causing him to fall back.
"Great! This is just perfect!" She shouted, her voice having a British accent as she waved her hands in the air, revealing a red ruby on her left hand.
"Uhh, do you need any help?" Alfred asked, picking himself back up.
"NO! I mean- don't look at me! Just go away!" She growled, curling up in a ball and turning her back to the boy.
"What?" Alfred muttered, his eyes sparkling with a hurt light, before he turned slowly to go.
"Hey, wait!" The girl shouted, sitting back up. She stood, running up to the laser wall. "You're out! Hold did you get past the field?" She demanded desperately.
"Oh, I just kinda..."
"Wait! No no no no, wait!" She urged as Alfred stuck his arm in, only to find that he stuck his hand in without an issue. "It's... Okay?" She muttered. When his hand exited, she attempted to stick her right hand in, but it instantly lurched back, glitching out before retaining it shape. She yelled out in pain, shaking her hand angrily. "What's going on?" She muttered, glancing at Alfred with a suspicious glare.
Suddenly, the singing Alfred had heard when he woke up again sounded, and the blonde inside the cell grasped, looking around with wide eyes. "Somebody's singing." Alfred muttered, pointing out the obvious.
"Françoise." The girl whispered, before turning to Alfred abruptly. "Let me outta here! Please! I need to find Françoise!"
"Is she your friend? I'm looking for my friends too!" Alfred explained.
"She's all alone I need to find her!" The blonde urged desperately, her fists clenched in front of her.
"Don't worry, we'll find our friends!" He stated, stepping into the field and holding out his arms, creating an open area for the gem to crawl through. "AAANNNDDD WE'LLL DOO ITTT TOOOGETHHERRRR!"
The girl slid through the opening, already racing through the ship before Alfred could even turn around."Wait for me!" He shouted, racing after her.
She paused, clutching her head as she squeezed her eyes shut, and Steven caught up. "Hey, my name's Alfred, by the way! What's your's?"
"Quiet!" The girl snapped, groaning as she squeezed her eyes shut even tighter. "Erugh, I can't see!" She cried, looking around desperately as the singing continued. "This way!" She took off down a hall, and Alfred raced after her.
"How many more gems are trapped here?" He inquired.
"Don't know. Don't care." She stated curtly, but paused in front of a window as the hall went silent. "She stopped singing." She whispered. "FRANÇOISE!"
Alfred glanced out of the window, his eyes widening when he saw the Earth below them, and dark blanket of space stretching out in all directions. They both took off again, racing to the end of a hall, to a cell that contained another gem, but the blonde's face fell in bitter disappointment at the sight of Elisabeta. "Oh, it's just you." She growled, glaring.
"Elisabeta!" Alfred shouted in greeting, approaching the cell. The girl glanced back as the blonde began to pace. "Elisabeta, I can get you out!"
"Stop!" Elisabeta yelled.
"It's okay, I can-"
"No! I don't want your help! Things are bad enough as it is, I've already made too much trouble. Once we get back to Homeworld, they're going to decide what to do with us."
The blonde growled in frustration, gripping her head. "I don't have time for this!" She snapped, taking off to find her friend.
"Wait!" Alfred shouted, but was interrupted by the other gem.
"Alfred, whatever you're doing, just stop! If we do everything they say, they might go easy on us!" She urged.
"But, they're- mean! They hurt my friends, they hurt my face! They've got you here in prison!" He argued.
"That's why we can't fight them." Elisabeta explained.
"That's why we HAVE to fight them!" Alfred stated, but when Elisabeta turned and tucked her knees into her chest, he decided he couldn't argue any longer. "I'll come back for you." He promised, before taking off to find his missing friends.
He ran through the ship, alone but anxious, when the singing started again, and he instantly turned in the direction of the sound. However, as he headed down a corridor, he heard the sound of a door opening, and he held his breath, pinning himself against the wall in hopes that whoever was coming wouldn't notice him.
"We can't leave yet!" The sound of Lovina's voice hit him, and after she and Julchen walked by, Alfred switched walls and peered out into the hallway to see what they were doing. "The whole point in coming here was to check on the CLUSTER." The brunette snapped at the albino, who stood in front of an activated cell.
Julchen punched the wall, "STOP SINGING!" She screamed, before turning to Lovina. "Amelia Jones takes priority! Get back to the bridge and set a course for Homeworld!" She snapped, storming off and leaving Lovina alone to gripe.
The brunette turned, walking angrily past Alfred. "Go to Earth, they said. It'll be easy, they said..." She grumbled to herself, before exiting the corridor.
Alfred peered out as soon as they were gone, and looked out of the cell Julchen had yelled into. Inside was a girl in a fluffy blue dress, with dark brown, wavy hair pulled up in a ponytail, and violet eyes. She put her hands together, closed her eyes, and began singing the same melody that Alfred had heard when he woke up.
He ran to the cell, his eyes wide with an eagerness to help. She stopped singing when she saw him approach. "Hey, I like your song," Alfred began with a whisper, "are you Françoise?"
"You escaped." The girl whispered, half in amazement, half in relief, but when Alfred stuck his arm in, her eyes seemed to flash with realization. "Of course."
Alfred repeated the action he did with the blonde gem he first assisted, creating the gap for Françoise to pass through. "COOOMMMMEEE OONNN ITS SAAAFFFFEEEEE." He insisted as the field he was submerged in sent little shocks through his body.
"Thank you, Alfred." She smiled as she ducked through, her accent of the French variety.
"YOOOUUUUR welcome!" He stated as he exited, standing tall and placing his hands on his hips in a heroic stance.
"FRANÇOISE!" A familiar voice called in the distance.
"Come on!" She said, grabbing Alfred's hand and taking off down the hall, her legs not even seeming to touch the ground as she shot through the ship in search of the voice. By the time she paused, Alfred looked like he was going to be sick.
Françoise turned when she heard someone gasp behind her, and her and Alfred turned to see the blonde gem with glasses that has been searching for Françoise earlier. "ROSE!" She called, her eyes wide with relief. They both ran at each other, smacking together in an embrace, as though they were opposite poles that yearned to touch again.
When they separated, the blonde, Rose, grabbed Françoise's face. "Did they hurt you?" She asked, her eyes wide.
"No no, I'm okay," Françoise insisted, placing a hand over Rose's, "did they hurt you?"
"Who cares?" Rose almost laughed, tears of relief gathering in her eyes.
"I do." Françoise smiled, before leaning forward and placing a kiss on her partner. Within seconds, Rose picked Françoise up and was twirling her around happily as they both giggled. After their happiness grew stronger and stronger, their physical forms glowed with light, and they fused together, spinning in the air as their gems found their places on the opposite sides of the fusion's body, one on each hand.
Soon the light ceased, their laughter became one sound, and Madeline slammed down in front of Alfred, her violet eyes sparkling with sheer love and joy, her one odd curl still bouncing with laughter. "Alfred! Thank you!" She breathed.
His bright blue eyes seemed to light up with stars. "Madeline! You're a fusion?"
Her smile turned more shy, and her face flushed slightly. "Oh, I-I-I'm sorry. We didn't want you meeting us here like this."
"Well, did I make a good first impression?" Alfred smiled.
"Aw, Alfred," Maddie muttered, taking his face in her hand, smiling lovingly, "we already love you."
"WHERE IS SHE?" Julchen's voice echoed angrily throughout the ship, causing Alfred and Madeline's heads to snap in that direction.
"It's Julchen! Alfred, find the others, and get to the control bridge." Madeline directed.
"But I don't know where they are." Alfred explained, before the gem bent down and placed a kiss on his forehead. Visions flashed in his head, giving him the directions he needed to lead him to Sakura and Isabel. His eyes sparkled with excitement as he whispered, "Future vision..." Then, it dropped, and he looked back up at Maddie. "Wait, are you gonna be able to beat her on your own?"
"It's okay, Alfred," she smiled, "I'm never alone."
Satisfied, Alfred smiled and took off to find the other gems, leaving just as Julchen entered the room. "Oh, great. You're both out, and you're fused again? Why? Fusion is just a cheap tactic to make weak gems stronger. Quit embarrassing yourselves! I've seen what you really are."
Madeline smiled, giggling slightly as Julchen attempted to insult her, before glaring at the albino. "No, you haven't.
"This is Madeline, back together, and I'm never going down at the hands of the likes of you, because I'm so much better," she smirked as they began pacing in a circle around the room, "and every part of me is saying, 'Go get her.' The two of us ain't gonna follow your rules." Julchen whipped out her chronic gem destabilizer as they stopped, facing each other. "Come at me without any of your fancy tools, let's go, just me and you," Julchen sneered, lunging forward. Madeline smiled, waving her fingers in front of her face, making her glasses appear. "Let's go, just one on two."
Julchen threw a powerful punch down where Maddie would have been, except the fusion dodged with ease, "Go ahead and try to hit me if you're able, can't you see that my relationship is stable?" She sang as she dodged every one of Julchen's stabs at her, flipping and sliding across the floor, "I can see you hate the way we intermingle," Madeline threw a few kicks while Julchen attempted to punch and stab her, still missing as the blonde bounced away with a smile on her face. She crossed her arms, looking at the Homeworld gem with a confident smirk, "but I think your just mad cause your single. And your not gonna stop what we've made together," she laid down as Julchen swung, before spinning and popping up feet first, kicking the weapon out of her enemy's hand, "we are gonna stay like this forever!" She snapped the weapon in half, letting it fall to the ground, "If you break us apart, we'll just come back newer," she lifted her hands behind her head, encasing them in her metal gloves, smirking knowingly, "and we'll always be twice the gem that you are!"
Julchen activated her helmet, and they charged at each other. "I am made, o-o-o-o-of, Lo-o-o-o-ove, ah-ah-ah-ah-ahh." As they fought, in another part of the ship, Alfred managed to free both Sakura and Isabel, and they invaded the bridge, where Lovina was waiting. "Lo-o-o-o-ove," Madeline landed a punch straight on Julchen's jaw, but when she went to throw another punch, she caught her arm, and flipped her, sending Maddie crashing into the ground, "ah-ah-ah-ah-ahhh."
"DON'T TOUCH THAT!" Lovina screamed as she struggled to escape Isabel's whip, the green-eyed gem standing above her with a leg on Lovina's side, weighing the Homeworld gem down. "YOU CLODS DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!"
"You got this, Sakura!" Isabel shouted encouragingly, tightening her hold on Lovina.
Sakura, who sat on the command chair with Alfred at her side, turned excitedly to the control pad. "Okay, ship, turn us around." She stated, sticking her hands into the control panel, which caused her eyes to flash with static, Sakura's not quite having the knowledge to control the ship. Alfred looked nervously from Sakura to a security screen, where he could see Madeline and Julchen fighting.
Madeline slid across the floor as she was pushed along by Julchen as she charged like a bull, the only thing keeping Maddie in the game was the fact that she was hanging on to the helmet rather than the gem herself. She stopped, and let go, waiting until Julchen was over her just enough, before she landed a powerful punch in her abdomen. Julchen flew up onto the glass roof, which cracked slightly on the impact, before she growled in frustration, glowing in a yellow light as she turned in on herself, turning into the spinning ball of power, before she shot at Madeline, causing them to crash through the floor, burrow through the ship, and burst out into the engine room.
Madeline's clothes were ripped and torn, her glasses cracked as she lifted herself up, "This is who we are, this is who I am, and if you think you can me, then you need to think again." She stood up, activating her weapon again as Julchen stood across the room, ready to go again. "Because I am a feeling, and I will never end. And I won't let you hurt my planet, and I won't let you hurt my friends." They launched at each other, each punch Maddie threw being blocked by Julchen's helmet. "Go ahead and try to hit me if your able," the Homeworld gem landed a solid strike to Maddie's face, knocking her down, but she just got back up, "can't you see that my relationship is stable?" She flew at Julchen, swinging kicks at her face, which the albino managed to dodge, "I know you think I'm not something you're afraid of," Madeline jumped forward, smashing Julchen's helmet between her fists, breaking the face shield in provided the gem protection as the fusion flipped backwards, "because you think that you've seen what I'm made of."
Julchen spun into an energy ball again, lunging at Madeline, but she missed, crashing into the wall behind her. "But I am even more than the two of them." Julchen shot out again, but Maddie leapt over her, causing the albino to whiz around the room wildly. "Everything they care about is what I am. I am their fury, I am their patience," she grabbed Julchen by the helmet, able to hold her in place, despite the fact that she had gone super nova. She smirked confidently, "I am a conversation. I am made-" She whipped Julchen over her head, throwing her into the engine. Energy electrocuted the gem, causing her to convulse until the engine exploded. "O-o-o-o-of, lo-o-o-o-ove, ah-ah-ah-ah-ahh," Madeline managed to run out of the room before she was caught in the explosion, and she looked back, smiling, "and it's stronger than you. Lo-o-o-o-ove, ah-ah-ah-ah-ahh. Lo-o-o-o-ove. And it's stronger than you."
The explosion had managed to shake Isabel off of Lovina, who inched forward, slamming her face into the ground and managing to activate an escape pod around her, which lowered into the floor before Isabel could grab it, and it shot off towards the Earth.
As the gems watched, the door to the bridge opened, revealing a very beat-up Madeline. "Maddie!" The trio shouted together in joy at the sight of their leader.
"This ship is going down!" Madeline exclaimed.
"What about Elisabeta?" Alfred asked, his eyes wide.
"There's no time!" Maddie explained.
The ship continued hurdling down through the atmosphere, before it approached Beach city, crashing down on the side of the mountain that contained the gem's base. Within seconds, it exploded.
Lion ran through the wreckage, his fur ruffled and his blue eyes wide as he glanced around, pieces of the ship still falling into the water in the distance. Soon, he spotted a pile of the ship that took his interest, and his eyes glowed as he roared, the power of his outburst breaking the rocks and revealing a pick bubble, which had Sakura, Alfred, and Isabel inside, all curled into Madeline's lap with her arms around them.
Alfred released the bubble, and they landed softly on the ground. Madeline smiled. "Nice one."
"Oh my gosh!" Alfred started, his eyes sparkling like stars, "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE A FUSION ALL THE TIME!" He smiled excitedly.
"You met Rose and Françoise?" Isabel questioned.
"Oh no! We were going to introduce you- Madeline, your plan." Sakura frowned.
"We were waiting til your birthday." Maddie shrugged.
"We can still do it!" Alfred insisted as they all stood. "I can just pretend I didn't know!" Isabel cackled at the suggestion, but the laughter stopped when, a few feet away, a pale head burst out of the wreckage, followed by the rest of Julchen's body. She panted for breath as she stubbled forward, both kneeling on her hands and knees.
"Don't think you've won." She growled, her pink eyes glowing with malice. "You only beat me, because you're a fusion! If I had someone to fuse with, I-" She paused when she heard something else moving in the wreckage, before Elisabeta managed to lift a piece of metal off herself, falling forward in pain. She spotted Julchen, wings of water expanding out from the tear-shaped lapis lazuli gem on her back, and she tried to fly away, but Julchen stumbled forward, "Come here, ya brat!" She shouted, catching her by the foot and yanking her down, before holding her up off the ground like a prize. "Awwww, don't fly off so soon." She smiled viciously.
"Elisabeta!" Alfred shouted, starting forward to help her, but Sakura and Isabel kept him in place.
"Elisabeta, listen, fuse with me!" Julchen urged.
"What?" The gem asked in shock.
"How long did they keep you trapped here on this miserable hunk of rock?" She asked, grabbing the brunette's face in her fingers before letting her go and allowing her to fall to the ground. "These gems, they're traitors to their Homeworld! They kept you prisoner, they used you! This is your chance to take revenge!" Elisabeta listened as she stared at Alfred, who was being held protectively by a fierce-looking Isabel. "Come on. Just say yes." Julchen hissed, her eyes narrowing.
"Elisabeta, don't do it!" Alfred urged, his voice pleading.
The brunette's eyebrows furrowed, before she closed her eyes, taking a deep breath, before turning to Julchen, and offering her her hand. The albino cast a wicked smile, grabbing Elisabeta's hand in her's. "NO!" Alfred yelled, the other gems watching in horror as Julchen spun Elisabeta around, before dipping her. She looked up at the Crystal Gems, her jasper nose glowing as her physical body became light, and they merged, expanding and growing larger and larger, much to the other's dismay.
When the fusions physical body was completed, she was a massive, pale being with ice blue eyes and short, spiky blonde hair. She had a black and green top on that was just big enough to cover her chest, and a similar design of shorts with a yellow diamond on her belt. She had a green gem as a nose, and she smiled with bright, sharp teeth. The others shrunk away in fear as the fusion laughed. She reached out her hand, lifting up water, which took the shape of a hand as she faced the Crystal Gems.
Before she could act, however, the hand grabbed her wrist, and she gasped in surprise as it morphed shape into a chain, and another hand followed it's lead, grabbing her other wrist and turning into a chain. "Huh? What?" She demanded in an echoing voice, before more water shot out, folding around her chest and wrapping her in another set of chains. They pulled on her, and she grunted, trying to walk away from the water's edge, but the ocean was far too powerful.
"What you doing?" She demanded, before her voice changed pitch slightly, "I'm done being everyone's prisoner. Now you're my prisoner. AND I'M NEVER LETTING YOU GO!" Hands made of water grabbed the fusion by the ankles, sending her toppling into the sand as they dragged her into the ocean. She tried to resist, her face convulsing, as if she was trying to separate, but the two gems stayed together.
"Elisabeta!" Alfred shouted as he and the others ran to the water's edge.
"LET'S STAY ON THIS MISERABLE PLANET- TOGETHER!" She screamed, before the fusion was completely submerged in the water, dragged down by weights tied to Elisabeta's will.
All five of them stared at the water in horror as seconds crawled on, green fire still roaring behind him them. Finally, Madeline readjusted her glasses, placing a hand on her hip. "Yikes. They are really bad for each other." She commented.
As they stood, the cellphone in Alfred's pocket began ringing, and he reached for it, answering with his eyes still wide. "Uhhh, hello?"
"Alfred, I got your message! What's going on?" Shelby demanded at the other end of the line. When Alfred didn't answer, she continued. "Alfred..?"

I thought that'd be a cool episode to do a crossover with. There's another episode I can do that comes after this one, but it would be more of a Shelbmerica chapter if I did it, and I know not everyone who reads this watches Steven Universe, so I don't want to do too many more. I'll leave it up to you guys, whether you want me to do that one or not :p
