"Shelby, drink the water." Alfred stated firmly, shoving the water bottle towards her.

She giggled. "But I'm not thirsty, silly goose."

"No, you need to hydrate, dude."

"I don't need to do anything, ass. I'm independent. I live in America, and I can choose not to drink this water!" She declared, slapping the bottle out of his hand.

"I know you live in America! I'm America!" Alfred urged. Usually, he found drunk people utterly hilarious. And if it had been anyone besides Shelby, he would probably be cracking up.

"Ha! You're not America! Your just a hot guy who doesn't know how to have fun." Shelby laughed, subconsciously leaning forward and falling into Alfred.

He set her back up straight, his face flushing. "I do too! But there's nothing fun about babysitting you."

"Babysitting." Shelby snickered. "I have a joke about babies."

"Great." He muttered unenthusiastically.

"Why does the mother carry her baby?" Shelby smiled widely.

"... Why?"

"BECAUSE THE BABY CAN'T CARRY THE MOTHER!" She screamed as she busted out laughing, completely oblivious to the fact that the joke could hardly be considered funny.

His lips twitched up slightly at hearing her laughing so hard. "Alright, its funny. Will you drink some water now?"

However, Shelby's laughing quickly turned to hysterical tears. "You're really great, you know that?" She cried.

"Whoa, Shelby. Settle down, dude, these mood swings are seriously giving me whiplash." Alfred exclaimed as Shelby pressed her face into his shirt.

"YOU'RE ALWAYS SO NICE TO ME EVEN THOUGH I'M SUCH A MEAN PERSON!" She yelled, lifting herself up and grabbing Alfred's face. "Why are you so nice? I have to know! It's killing me, babe, IT'S KILLING ME!"

"I don't know, I just try and find the positive in everything! Please stop shouting at me, you're freaking me out!"

"No, you're freaking me out!"

"No, I'm not!"

"Stop yelling at me! My head hurts! Why does my head hurt?!" She demanded, covering her face with her hands.

"Shelbs, you would probably feel better if you would just drink the water." Alfred sighed.

Shelby looked up and snatched the water, drinking some quickly. "I'm cold. Can you get me blanket?" She muttered.

The blonde let out relieved sigh. "Yes, I can do that." He promised, getting up and grabbing Shelby's ninja turtle blanket from her room. When he returned, however, he found Shelby pants-less.

He sighed. "Shelby... Why did you take your pants off?"

She blinked. "Because I'm hot."

"But, but you just said you were cold!"

"I changed my mind."

"You- you can't- I- GAH! I don't know what to even do with you!" He exclaimed, flopping onto his empty couch and throwing the blanket over himself.

For a moment, everything was silent, and Alfred allowed his eyes to close, figuring maybe Shelby had finally K.O.ed. But a few minutes later, and the blanket lifted up slightly, and he felt a weight plop down on him. He opened one of his eyes, and came face to face with with Shelby, who was watching him as she laid top of him under the blanket.

"Are you trying to hide from me?" She asked.

"Never." He muttered.

"Okay good. 'Cause I missed you." Shelby smiled, before giving him a loving kiss on the tip of his nose. "Goodnight, Alfie-kins."

With that, she laid her head down, and within minutes, she was out.
