"Are you feeling okay?" Poland inquired.

Shelby glanced up at him from her phone, slightly confused at the question. "Yes. Why do you ask?" She questioned causally.

"You have not even asked me to make food." Feliks stated, plopping down on the couch next to her. "Whenever you are over, you, like, are always asking me to make kiełbasa and sauerkraut. You haven't talked about food once since I got here."

Shelby looked uncomfortable at the mention of food. "I'm just not hungry."

"LIES! You are an American, you are always eating! I want truth, so like, spill it!" Poland exclaimed, glaring at her with accusing green eyes.

Shelby rolled her eyes. "That's kind of the point, Po. I eat way too much. I'm sick of being a fat ass, so I'm going on a diet."

"Does your diet include kiełbasa?"

"Not unless it's under..." She checked her phone. "500 calories."

Poland gasped, placing a chest on his hand, obviously insulted. "You refuse the food of your ancestors AND you try and put a calorie limit on kiełbasa? It's like I don't even know you."

"You're being dramatic." Shelby huffed.

Poland's eyes narrowed, before he got up and exited the room. Shelby continued on her phone and moments later Feliks returned, a platter of food in his hands. The smell of the the delicacy wafted over to the brunette, who's eyes widened. She instantly recognized the disgusting smell of her favorite Polish cuisine.

Gołąbki.

"Feliks." She whispered in horror, lifting her head and pressing her back to the couch, as if she was cornered. "How dare you."

"Oh, I am daring." He smiled.

"I thought we were friends." She squeaked as he began stepping closer.

"No friend of mine refuses my food. Now, eat the gołąbki or like, get out!" Feliks ordered, pointing to the door.

Shelby's eyes darted to the door before she took off towards it. "Wait, I did not mean it literally!" Poland shouted as she yanked the door open and practically threw herself out into Poland's yard. "YOU CAN'T ESCAPE THE GOŁĄBKI!"

"GET THOSE DELICIOUS HUNKS OF MEAT AWAY FROM ME!"
