Ch. 45: "Jellal Likes..."
Happy Valentine's Day!

{Jellal's POV}
Erza grabbed my cellphone. "Thanks for the footage. I owe you." Erza mumbled, crashing me in a hug. "I'll totally love the video." The red head before me was giggling like crazy that Zeref already gave us weird looks. I had to make her shut up.
"Oh, it's totally fine. Just be careful when Gajeel and Levy are around. If they get a peek at it, you're gonna be dead because they can be a monster." Your thoughts are correct. The video of Gajeel kissing Levy on her forehead was recorded by none other than me. Erza told me to do so and trust me, it's difficult.
"Thanks again!" I stilled when she breathed in my neck.
With a blush, I pushed her off. "Okay, okay. You can let go of me." She did and I was finally able to breath fresh air, but I also missed the hug a little later. "Can you now give me my cellphone?"
She rolled her eyes. "Wait a minute, I'm not yet finished sending the video." A few minutes passed and she handed it back to me, smiling like a... like a woman with a mental disorder. Don't get me wrong, she can smile normally but the one she's showing me currently is creepy.
I watched her tie her hair up into a ponytail and go up the stairs.
"I actually believed that there's "something" between the two of you." Levy showed up with her hand on her waist, an eyebrow cocked teasingly. I flashed her a questioning gander. "You and Erza."
"We don't have something going on."
"Yeah, right."
'I do think she likes someone. What about me? I don't know, honestly.' "What do we do today?" She pursed her lips from the sudden change of topic and removed her eyeglasses.
"Mall tour on *** at 5 PM. Well, see 'ya around. Gotta meet up with my highschool friends." She mumbled. Out of the blue, Gajeel showed up, his hair wet from the bath.
I smirked, "Hey, your girlfriend went out to reunite with her high school pals."
His cheeks went red from irritation and embarrassment. "Whatever. Who said she was my girlfriend?"
Laughing at his reaction, I snorted. "Oh? I was talking about your friend that's a girl. And I'm pertaining to nobody. I gotcha bro." His face burned, turning redder.
"Yeah, fool yourself." He retorted. "At least I'm not in love with a monster."
He watched as my eyes narrowed. "Who is this monster you're talking about?"
That's when he started rambling. "Oh, you know, the one with red hair, dark blue eyes and a monstrous personality. It's like she carries a sword around aaand holy cheese she's so bossy. She just enveloped you in a bone-crushing hug earlier. This girl likes strawberry cakes, once a member of Color of Girls, and also known as Lady Scarlet-"
Putting a hand right in front of my face, I shook my head. "So getting straight to the point you're talking about Erza Scarlet."
"Why me?" We both jumped to Erza's curious voice which was right behind me. "Scared 'ya." She said, bursting into fits of laughter. This was the first time she laughed like this for a long time, mind you. The strange thing is that she's laughing with no particular reason at all. We (Gajeel and I) kept quiet until she stopped laughing. "Well?" Gajeel shrugged as I did. She huffed and walked away, I giving Gajeel a glare.
"Almost caught."
"So you do like her."
"I do not!" I exclaimed, ears red.

I grabbed Erza's hand when she was about to fall off the stage because of a certified Eight Members fan who tugged on her tank top. She smiled gratefully after gaining back her balance, secretly saying thank you. The other fans saw this and actually screamed louder than ever before.
Levy prepared to speak as Mavis and Zeref had instructed her earlier. "Well, here is a little gift for the humongous support you're giving us! Thanks for everything! We wouldn't have reached this far without you guys. Here it goes!" Turning to us, she yelled, "One, two, three go!" Erza and I started hitting the drums as Natsu and Lucy sang.
"♪NEVER-END TALE
Hōkō wa todoro ite unmei sae mo kaete iku
Chikattan nara hajime yō
Eien ni owaranai 'fearī tale'
Dore dake sagashi tsuzuketan darō...
Konna ni mo, zutto chikaku ni kanjite ita
Kono shōdō no honō
Nanimo ushinawa nai de susume nai... demo kizuna dake wa
Kesshite hodokanai...♪"
We played a lot of songs, us taking turns on every instruments. Of course we had to sing at some part, and I'm glad it went great. And when I say great, I mean great. The harmony in our voices were good to hear.
A song came up: Thunder. Erza and I's theme song. While Erza and I were singing, we had to feel and project emotion for the audience to feel the song. Mavis and Zeref had advised us on that one. There was a time that I looked into Erza's eyes, and that's when the fans fangirl and faint. I could tell it went good based on the audience's reactions... as well as my bandmates' reactions.
Blushing slightly, I picked up the electric guitar, playing the first few chords of R.P.G. or Rockin' Playing Game while thinking about Erza's face up close. Jellal my friend, you're totally in looove.
The mall tour all in all is wonderful according to Mavis and Zeref.
An hour later, we were already scattered around the house, minding our own businesses-well, I don't have any business. I noticed Erza sitting on a lonely corner, holding up a newspaper in front of her face. I went up to her and leaned to get a peek of what she was reading. "Levy's Debut and GaLe Dance?" She looked up from the paper, accidentally making our noses touch. She paid attention to the newspaper again, neck and ears beet red.
"Could you please lean back?" She whispered awkwardly, glancing around the room. Luckily, no one noticed our position. "Yes... this is news about Levy's Debut and GaLe Dance. You know, I'm actually pretty piped up about this news... very interesting, isn't it?"
Nope, because I'm not a fangirl. Not wanting to be kicked in the gut if I told her the wrong answer, I replied. "Yeah. Very." Yet again, she beamed at me, but this time that beam was different. It's one of her normal smile which was beautiful. The smile turned into a frown as I stared at her, asking me "What's wrong with you?" with her eyes. "Nothing," I say, sitting beside her. "You just smiled normally, is all."
She scowled, pinching my ears as I let out a yelp of pain. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing! Nothing at all!" I answered, making Natsu and Gray turn around from watching wrestling. They sniggered as soon as they saw me being pinched by Erza. "Let go."
"Just don't do that again." She scolded, stood up and walked off, her long hair slapping my face as I felt a strange sensation.
"Want her to touch you, huh?" I picked up the newspaper Erza had left on the floor and threw it at them, scowling as they guffawed. "Best RomCom show ever."
"Whatever Gray, at least I'm not one of those guys who confessed to the one he likes when she was sick." Natsu and I made fun of him and his scowl this time, his face burning. "I gotcha bro!"
A moment later, someone opened the door making us stop. It's Erza wearing a short and sweater with Eight Members in it. Her hair was still in a ponytail. I believe that I'm the only one who noticed that because Natsu and Gray couldn't care less. Gray, almost as if an announcer, shouted, "Hey Erza, Jellal here wanted to say that-"
"You shut up!" I yelled, covering his mouth. "I hate you." I grumbled under my breath.
"But you love her." He said in a muffled voice and I blushed.
Erza, baffled as ever, asks, "What?" Better she didn't hear it. Lucy came in the room soon after, holding a bowl of popcorn which was soon devoured by Natsu.
"Guys, uhm, Jellal has some issue on the social media. Something about a girl and him making out?" Turning to me, she added, "That true?"
I opened my mouth but Erza interjected on the matter. "I, as his number one best friend, know that he won't do that to any girl since first, he doesn't have a girlfriend, second, he's not a playboy, and third he doesn't like anybody." All the boys' gazes flickered from me to Erza, as if telling me #bestfriendzoned. I couldn't be more pissed.
"I am not asexual." I mutter in a low voice. "Though the first two things were facts." The boys grinned, and I had to throw them a glare so they'd all shut up, just this once.
"Oh, uh, well, I want to respect your privacy so I won't ask." She replied. That made me nod and walk to where the entertainment room was.
Before I could even close the door, someone held me by the hand tightly. "Jellal." I recognized it as Erza. "Couldn't help myself. You like who?" Trying to not focus on her hand that held mine, I pushed the door so it would close.
Dang it, she's right in front of me. I badly want to throw a booger at her so that she'd run away. That's the worst idea in the universe but we all know it would work. "Hah, don't you know that this boy was playing around?" She squinted her eyes at me, skepticism her aura. "Okay, okay. You got me. But of course no one will tell you that."
"Are you trying to say that I have to force it out of you? Because I know you, you know me, we're childhood best friends and everyone here can tell me the truth whether you like it or not."
"How sure are you that they know about who I like?" I challenged, putting on an emotionless face.
"They just... know."
"And you say "I know you, you know me" when in truth you don't even know the one I like."
A frown began to form on her face. "Idiot." She murmured as I batted my eyelashes at her innocently.
"Well Erza," Juvia interjected, leaning on the door frame. "You totally know her, the girl." I shot her a look, silently yelling "Shut up". Unfortunately, Juvia didn't see it because she continued giving Erza the big revelation little by little. "... and we also know her too."
"Who?"
"Jellal likes..."
Zeref, who was actually eavesdropping the whole time completed Juvia's statement, me dying and going to heaven. "You."
