{Lucy’s POV}

“You know very well that it’s Christmas, right? Where’s my gift?” Erza demanded, holding out a hand to me. I rolled my eyes. I know that she just wanted me to give her cake or anything as long as it’s her favorite. This girl, indeed, has been in love with cakes ever since we were little kids.

“Erza, gifts aren’t demanded. They are given wholeheartedly.” Juvia lectured, crossing her arms and letting Wice eat the cat food. Aw, Wice is so cute! I wish I had a cat too. Or dog. Or any pet as long as it’s cute and harmless.

“Lu-chan, I hope you’ve already gotten my gift.” Levy looked up from reading her book. She closed it and munched on her all time favorite: Chocolate Cookie. Maybe I can give her that, since it’s her favorite food and all. Or a new book. Or maybe both? I know that she’ll love both.

“Oh, by the way, Levy. Have you seen the new cake? The strawberry cake with a big chocolate chip cookie in the middle of it?” Erza shook Levy excitedly, while Levy’s eyes glimmered in delight. When she hears the word cookie, I swear. She’s crazy.

Levy squealed, “OMG! I don’t care about the strawberry cake! I just want the cookie! The cake is all yours! Where can I buy it? What shop? How much?”

Erza’s smile vanished in an instant. “Unfortunately, it can be bought from US. Plus, the price is mind blowing. One million dollars? My goodness. I don’t have that kind of money. I’d have to be a millionaire before I could buy that cake.” Levy’s excitement dropped to 0 and she sulked at a corner, hugging her book.

The door flew open and revealed five boys–Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Jellal, and Zeref. “We’re home!!” they were holding several plastic bags, smiling. Oh, right. The boys aren’t gonna be here for Christmas. They told us they were going back to their family for awhile.  

As an obvious answer, we replied, “We don’t care!!” and laughed loudly. The boys put on their poker faces, while we laughed even harder than before. They ignored us and walked straight to the kitchen. That’s when Mavis came in the scene with a messy bed hair.

“Yo! Afternoon, sleepy head!” Erza greeted lazily.

“Afternoon!? I slept for that long!?” she frantically asked, eyes wide open. She paced around the room, looking bothered by something. I can still see eyebags circling her eyes. Wow. Is she lacking sleep because of the engagement party? If yes, then pity her. It must’ve been stressing her out. Add up the manager work.

Anyways, so.. it’s been a month since we’ve became a band–The Eight Members. We’ve been inactive and silent for that long, yes yes. No songs. We’ve declined all the offers. We’ve deleted all our old accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as a band. You cannot search @TheColorofGirls nor @TheElementalBoys. We’ve been using the month to think thoroughly of the launching of the news that the Elemental Boys and Color of Girls have collided. It’ll surely cause a ruckus. We need to tell the public when it’s the right time.

“Yes, you slept for that long.” I uttered, leaning on the couch. She gasped, pulling her hair.

“Oh no! I have to contact the party planner, tell more details about the cake and dresses—”

“Stop your ranting then do it when you’re ready, okay? You cannot accomplish anything in that state, you know?” Juvia scolded her aggressively. That's Juvia for you! Always making everything right by lecturing.

Mavis sighed, "Okay. What would you want for dinner? Tomorrow's December 24, you know? I hope you all got your gifts with you, so we'll give it to each other when tomorrow comes and open it on a Christmas Morning." she announced, combing her hair. "And, have you decided? To tell everyone?"

About that.... "Of course." Gajeel answered for us, clasping his hands and sitting beside Levy. "We've been considering that for the whole time we've been together, and we've decided that we'll announce the news at December 25, 7 PM." We stayed silent for awhile. I looked up when I felt that somebody was at my side. Natsu. I haven't got any gift for him yet.... for everyone as well.

"Jellal and Gray said that they're probably not gonna be there on the announcing, but they'll try to come as much as possible." Natsu informed. I'm not that used to his serious expression and aura right now. Usually, he's cheerful and giddy all the time. But not now.

Zeref entered the scene and draped his arms around Mavis. "No need to get serious. It doesn't suit you." he scoffed, pertaining to Natsu. As a result, he received a harsh punch from Natsu.

"Stop laughing." I told them, not in the mood to talk to anyone. "I'm going somewhere. Be back in eight pm. I'm gonna do a little shopping."

"Lucy! Can I come with you?" Natsu queried, back to his cheerful state again. I shook my head, signalling that it's a no. "What?! Why no?" he protested, pouting. I ignored deliberately his next words, too tired from all the noise they were making.

I went outside the house with my shades and wig, opening the garage. I opened the car door and started driving to the busy streets of Japan. Ah, it's so beautiful. The cherry blossoms are breathtaking. It's good to be outside the house once in a while.

While driving, I saw a yellow ferrari car. It looks expensive and—wait a minute. I think I know that car! Does it belong to....?!

No. Maybe it's all an imagination. When I looked back, the ferrari was nowhere to be seen. Good God. It's just really my imagination. My wild imagination.

I nodded my head to the beat of the music. I like these kinds of music. Fun and entertaining to hear. The title of the song was Dazed and Confused. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the singer.

I reached the mall. As I got out, I smiled. It's been awhile since I went shopping alone.

I noticed the yellow ferrari beside my car. OMG. So it's really not my imagination? It's true? Natsu is here? If yes, then I don't wanna meet him here. He might see the gifts I'll buy. Plus, he's a ruckus. Literally.

"Hey, Lucy! I've been waiting for you!" I turned around only to see Natsu with a wide grin plastered on his face.

"What the bloody hell." I hissed. "Why are you here?" I interrogated, fuming. He wasn't supposed to be there. But there he was, grinning from ear to ear. What the heck was he so happy about? I'm mad, doesn't he see it? This guy's got some issues.

"I just wanna buy something. But you told me that I'm not allowed to be with you for this day. It's a coincidence that I'll be seeing you here, beside my car." he explained.

I rolled my eyes. Lame person=lame excuse. "And what about your 'Hey, Lucy! I've been waiting for you!' greeting when I arrived? Don't make up such lame and obvious excuses. I'm not a fool and oblivious if that's what you think." I blabbered with hand gestures. That's how I express my feelings: hand gestures.

Natsu scratched the back of his head sheepishly, "He-he. Wow. You really are a smart person. Can I come with you?"

I shook my head. I can't do anything about it now. "Whatever. Do what you please." And he jumped around in joy like I just answered his prayers.

I walked ahead of him and he trailed behind me. I can feel his creepy stare. It's like, he was trying to know something. But what is it? Whatever. I don't really care. I was annoyed and so I turned to him with a straight face. "Quit staring." I said, walking faster.

But he's a persistent person. He kept up with me and continued to stare at me with an undecipherable face. Ugh. So stubborn. "When will you ever stop?"

"When I die, I guess." Natsu retorted then cackled. What a guy. Suddenly, I heard people around us whispering to each other.

"Hey. Isn't that.. Fire and Yellow Angel?"

"Woah. You're right. Why are they here?"

This isn't good. People are suspecting us. There's only one thing left to do: Run!!

I gripped Natsu's hand tightly which startled him and scampered away from the crowd that was beginning to appear. Natsu noticed immediately what I was so panicked about and ran with me to the parking lot.

"Hey. I didn't get to buy you a gift. I'm sorry." I told him softly as I leaned on his car.

He smiled genuinely which made me surprised for awhile. What he answered shocked me. "It's okay, Lucy. A gift isn't important to me. You guys alone and our friendship is the most important thing to me. That could be your gift to me, Lucy. Will you be my friend.... again?" Okay. I'm just overreacting, but I'm feeling like Natsu is confessing his feelings to me. Whatever. I'm getting crazy again.

What I did next proved myself that I'm crazy. Even I myself was shocked. Natsu froze, surprised by what I did. I hugged him and said: "Okay, Natsu-kun."
