Heyyyy!! Announcement!! Fairy Tail is back! (sorry for the spoilers). and because of that, here's an update!

{Gajeel's POV}

"I'm back, you guys!" Mirajane said, a man with a blond hair standing beside her. That must be him. Laxus Dreyar, her fiancé. In a month, they'll be married. Hm. Laxus is already a man. I never expected him to be married someday.

I looked at the direction of Blue Maiden... or Levy secretly. She was gushing and shaking Yellow Angel uncontrollably. Maybe she remembered some romantic book she read back then when she saw Mirajane and Laxus. Tsk. She can be an annoying fangirl sometimes, I'd tell you that.

"So, for our second activity, I would like for all of you to switch tables and get to know the people around here. I'll give each of you ten minutes to grab a chatmate and talk with them. If I said stop, both of you will have to keep quiet and go to the next table you see. Remember, you musn't go back to the table you just went to. I'll give you six tries to meet six people here. Oh! Also, you musn't tell your name. Just tell them your nickname, favorites, etc. Okay, are you ready, people?" She questioned loudly. The people said yes, and that's when she shouted go. I lazily stood up, going to a random table nearby.

A girl came to me with a big smile on her face. "Hi, my nickname is Kag. And you are...?" I'm guessing she's Kagura Mikazuchi, a drama actress. I have watched some of her shows before, and I could tell that she's a great actress.

"Fox." I simply answered, putting my hands in my pocket. She smiled at me. After that, we talked for a bit, asking some questions which I reply with a simple yes, no, or any one word answer. I ask her some questions too, but not that personal because I'm not that interested in her life.

"Stop!" Mirajane shouted over the microphone, making the place quiet, and some people freeze. I then walked to a table, then saw a man with black hair. His side bangs were quite funny for me, but I don't know why.

"Fox." I said as he turned around and saw me with an outstretched hand. He beamed and shook hands with me, saying that his nickname was Shadow. I guess he's the popular Rogue Cheney from the band of Light and Darkness. I heard that he's a guitarist. One time, I heard his voice, and I'd tell you, it was nice. Just like earlier with Kagura, we talked about some things. He became a close friend of mine, actually, because his life was interesting.

Mirajane shouted stop once again, and so I bid my goodbye to Rogue and hopped on to the next table. A girl tapped my shoulder, and there I saw a girl with blue hair, in a pigtail. Beside her was a white cat in a plain white mask.

"I-I'm Wind. It's nice to meet you." The little girl greeted timidly. Once I saw the cat, I knew that this girl was Wendy Marvell with Carla in an instant. Wendy is a popular child star that was first featured on youtube.

"Fox here." I introduced. We didn't really talked with each other that much after that because she was shy, aside from the fact that we're both quiet people. We both just stood there saying nothing to each other. The atmospehere was awkward. Several minutes later, Mirajane said stop, and so I went onto the next table.

Next up was a man with blond hair. He was smiling. I think people call him a hunk, for some reason. "I'm Charms." Wow. Over confidence. So this is Eve Tearm. A baby faced boy who's great at dancing. He belongs to the popular dance group Blue Pegasus Dance Club.

"I'm Fox." Was all I could say. He asked me some boring questions which almost made me wanna take a nap for awhile. Mirajane stopped him from asking by saying stop, thank goodness.

I met Milianna and Lyon after that, and I don't wanna tell you anymore on what happened. Milianna just kept on drooling and fawning over a cat behind us, while Lyon kept on babbling things about his dream girl which was Cerulean Mermaid also known as Juvia. I wonder why I still recognized all of them even if they have masks on.

Mirajane told us to stop (thankfully) before I could storm out of this noisy and rowdy party hall. I glanced around, bored, accidentally stopping at Levy's direction. She felt my gaze unto her, and then she stared back at me as well. I was about to come near her when Mirajane spoke up.

"The next activity will surely be enjoyable and exciting!" I couldn't help but be irritated at Mira right now. I mean, who wouldn't be? She ruined the moment. Wait, what am I saying? Why am I getting cranky all of a sudden?

"Please wait for a few minutes before the last activity starts. You can now go back to your tables." Mira giggled as she climbed down the stairs and clinging to Laxus's arm. I huffed.

"Woah, woah. What happened? You seem to be a bit down." I turned around to see Gray. I shrugged almost coldly then went straight to the table.... accidentally walking beside Levy. Spell awkward. G-a-j-e-e-l-a-n-d-L-e-v-y. Because I hate awkward atmospheres like this, I went ahead of her and slumped back to my chair.

"Now I know why." Gray whispered as he winked and sat on the chair next to mine.

"As if you really know," I grumbled, rolling my eyes at him.

"Oh sure I do." He teased and chuckled.

A few minutes later, Mirajane went up the stage once again. "Okay! For the last activity of this day, we'll have a slow dancing party! You'll meet a person with your opposite gender, and you'll dance with him/her! I'll give you different kinds of strings. Find the person you have the same string with. Once you find that person, you must dance with her until the party ends. At the end of the party, remove your partner's mask and see your lover on the future! Please stand up and scatter around as I all give you your strings." She gave the microphone to Laxus and climbed down the stage.

Just like she ordered, we stood up and scattered around the aisle. She gave the strings around the people. Jellal received a string with blue and red stripes. Natsu received a string with pink hearts (hilarious!), Gray received a string with water designs, and lastly, I received an Iron String. It suits me. But... I wonder on who's gonna be my partner. Hmph. Like my partner's gonna be my lover in the future. Yeah, right.

"Find your partners... now!" After Mira spoke, the bright lights all over the room became ballroom lights. It was too dark for me. I groaned when a music started to play. It was Marry Your Daughter by Bryan McKnight. That song was my most hated song in my entire life. I'd rather listen to Barney's I Love You song and hug him until this song ends.

I looked around the room feeling grumpy as I examined the strings of every female I encounter. It was a hard thing to do, especially with the tight space you could walk on and with just the ballroom light lighting up my way.

I wanted to give up finding my partner but I have to find her or else I'm just gonna slack off until this party ends. I'd rather do that, really, but if Zeref will know about that (the boys are the blabber-mouths), he's dedinitely gonna cut my head off and give me lectures on how to act when you're in a party.

I continued glancing around. I saw some people dancing around with their partners already. I even saw Jellal dancing with a pink haired girl, and I'm guessing that it's Meredy.

I sighed frustratedly and went back to the table I was sitting on earlier. I'm gonna hide under it so that the boys won't notice me and tell Zeref that I did not participate in that stupid party. That way, I'd still be alive after going home. Good thing Zeref has a fever today. Gihee.

Just as I sat down under the table, I noticed a small girl. I examined the string and—I think we're alike. No. Maybe not. I must examine it more carefully—oh dammit. We really have the same strings. Hm. Maybe I could continue hiding under this table—okay. Gray saw me. Oh, man. I scowled and almost stormed towards the little girl. I grabbed her arms hastily (and roughly) and danced with her, not caring if she was too shocked to move.

She glanced at my string and slightly twitched when she noticed that I have the same string she has.

I thankfully sighed as the song changed. It was Runaway by The Corrs.

We silently swayed on the floor. Err, I'm not really good at dancing, so I hope that what I'm doing is right. Jellal and Natsu are the only ones who have the talent in dancing and singing, while Gray and I have the talents in playing the guitar and piano and a little bit of singing.

Somehow, the silence that was enveloping us is comfortable and familiar. It was like, I'd known this type of serenity already, and I had experienced it once before.

The music stopped, meaning that the party has ended and Mirajane told us to remove the mask of our partners. I backed away instantly as I saw her face. She did the same when she removed my mask. Completely shocked, all we could utter were our names.

"Gajeel?"

"Levy?"
