{Lucy’s POV}
I felt that someone was looking at me. Feeling weird, I looked around. I found Natsu staring at me. More like... studying me. Good thing I was not the type of girl who always blushed, so I managed to compose myself and consider it as nothing special.
I went back on editing the first part of the video. The first part included Gajeel and Levy—the part where they had to fight because of something. I don’t know the concept of the story, really, because Juvia was the one who planned it. My only task was to edit videos, which was my specialty. Well, I got photography as my course, but I practiced filmmaking.
Then here comes the second part where all of us are included. From what I know, all of us will be singing there. I don’t know about the boys, though. I mean, Wildest Dreams had its high notes. Oh well, I guess they can do it. All of us can sing, anyway.
Oh, come to think of it. The first part of the video really fits Gajeel and Levy’s situation. They were having their quarrel too, so we didn’t have a problem with that. They didn’t have to act; it was true, anyways.
Then I felt somebody was behind me. Rolling my eyes, I turned around but was surprised to see Natsu standing there. I felt uncomfortable now. “What are you editing?” He asked casually. I guess he didn’t notice I was already uneasy, and it was because I was good at concealing it.
Trying not to stutter, I answered, “The first part of the video.” I mumbled, wanting him to go away. I shifted in my seat.
“I see.” I thought he would go away and mind his own business after I answered him, but no, he didn’t. Instead, he watched me edit the video and cut some scenes. I pursed my lips, trying to not speak.
Finally not being able to contain it anymore, I turned to him. But then as I looked up, I accidentally stared into his eyes. A moment later, we were just there, his eyes boring into mine. It was like there was no one around us. The uneasiness that I felt was nowhere inside me. And the tranquility that enveloped us wasn’t awkward. In fact, it was relaxing and... comforting.
The little staring contest we had perished when I heard six people clear their throats. Apparently, they saw us, our faces about five inches away from each other. Now all six pairs of eyes were fixed on us. Their eyes, I bet, are full of questions that I didn’t want to answer for now, especially the girls. So instead of looking back at them, I just bowed my head, ashamed at what they had witnessed a moment ago.
“Ehem. Ehem.” Erza cleared her throat. “I just want to tell you guys that the second part is up, but I guess you two have your own businesses so...”
“No. Let’s go.” I replied, trying hard to shrug off what happened. The girls were staring at me intensely like something was up, which made me roll my eyes for the nth time.
The boys followed quietly. I even saw Gray, Jellal and Gajeel nudge Natsu to which he replied with a glare.
The second part was easy, even for the boys. They managed to hit the high notes in perfect sync, so I’ll give them kudos for that. They were awesome, all right.
After the shooting, I edited the second part. And when I was done, I watched Gajeel and Levy with an amused face. Just look at them. They looked totally awkward. But they look cute and adorable at the same time.
After the third part which was the last one, I merged it with the first and second part. Then the video was done.
At dinner time, we all watched our music video. Sometimes, we would all laugh. There were times where we would just smile. Everyone did, except for Gajeel and Levy. Ah, I forgot they still had that quarrel going on between them. Geez, they’ll never make up until someone tells them to do so.
I grinned at Erza and Juvia who grinned back at me. I gave them the look which said, “You know what to do.” We cackled and pulled Levy out of her seat with the boys watching us. Levy yelped and told us to let go, but we didn’t listen and instead we made her sit at Gajeel’s lap. Gajeel, realizing what was happening to the world, stood up. And that was my cue to glare at the boys and they obliged. They made Gajeel sit again and held him so he wouldn’t stand up again.
“Gah, you guys are so terrible.” Levy whined which she didn’t do often.
“If you want us to stop, then make up with Gajeel. If you don’t want to, then we’ll make you do something worse.” Juvia was sinister today, huh. And because our minds were connected, we already knew what she was thinking. I smirked.
Then again, I felt that someone was staring at me. And it was Natsu. Good thing it was already dark, so he didn’t see me blushing a little.
My eyes landed on Gajeel who was struggling from the boys’ grasps. I chortled. I was totally enjoying this.
“Okay, okay! Just don’t make me sit on Gajeel’s lap. I’m gonna apologize!” Levy scowled.
Erza shook her head. “Nope, Gajeel’s gonna be the one to apologize.”
Gajeel rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah, sorry.” He grunted.
“That sounded sincere. Really sincere.” I told him sarcastically.
He took a deep breath. “Look, I’m sorry, okay? I didn’t mean to piss you off and call you shrimp.” He sounded sincere. I looked at Levy who still looked ticked off, but I can tell she’s ready to forgive him. She nodded, which made us cheer. “Now, would you please let me go?” Gajeel inquired calmly, yet he sounded beyond pissed off. Well, good luck with the boys later.
“Since everything is okay now, why don’t we have a little open forum? If you know what I mean.” Everything is okay? Not. For me, that is. And open forum? I’m having a bad feeling about this. And just as I thought about it, the girls looked at me. The boys looked at Natsu. Oh boy. I—We—couldn’t escape now.
They hauled me to a place where it was grassy. Three boys and three girls put Natsu and I in the middle of the circle they made. They made us tell everything that had happened. We had no choice, so we told them everything. But that doesn’t mean we had a special relationship or anything.
After that, the open forum was done. I told them that we should have a little storytelling since I missed it, so everyone agreed. But before that, we need to set a campfire and something we could sit on. We ordered Juvia and Gray to get some woods and we waited there.
“Can we talk?” Natsu.
“I don’t know. What is it about?”
“About you, actually.” I looked at anywhere but him. “Uh, what I saw earlier, I mean.” He said sheepishly. Why do I feel so nervous right now? “Have you ever felt jealousy?” Jealousy? Now where did that come from?
“Uh, what are you talking about?” I queried, bewildered.
“Uh, you know what I mean.”
“I don’t know what you mean. What do you mean, anyway?”
“Never mind.” He walked away without saying anything else. Well, that’s weird. I shrugged and got the book from my bag.
After a few more minutes, I gave up on reading the book. Five people were scattered around the campsite. Where are Juvia and Gray? What’s taking them so long? It’s been minutes already. I hope they’re okay.
{Juvia’s POV}
“Here. Can this be useful?” Gray asked and held up a branch of tree.
“No, we need to find that certain tree Levy had told us to find.” I replied. “Don’t pick up random branches.” I exasperatedly reprimanded him.
“Ugh, I’m giving up.” He said and collapsed under a fig tree.
“Hey, get up and help me with finding the branches!!” I protested, pointing the flashlight in his direction.
“The flashlight...” He groaned and I turned it away from him.
I flailed my arms. “Are you going to help me or not? ‘Cause if not, then I’m leaving you here.” I madly stomped my feet.
“Let’s just tell them we couldn’t find anything.” Gray answered. I sighed and thought about it. We couldn’t find anything so I guess that’s it. I nodded at him and helped him stand up. Ew, he was covered in sweat. Lots of sweat.
I turned to him. “Lead the way.” I told him and I gave him the flashlight. I didn’t know the way back so... yeah.
“You lead.” He gave me back the flashlight. I declined and pushed it back to him. “You lead. I don’t know the way back.”
I paled. “You don’t know the way back?” I exclaimed. “Lucky us. Neither do I.” I groaned. As if on cue, everything became dark. The battery of the flashlight is dead.
