Then she sternly said "Now talk. I promise this information will not leave this room or me."

Nervously, I replied "I am from another time. When I was at the modern marketplace, I bought the necklace I am wearing now. After shopping, I went to the library. I read this scroll out loud and then I was in this time. Because I had not clasped the necklace, it fell off. When it did so, I was back in my own time. I went home after that and put the necklace on again because I thought I had imagined coming to this time. I read the scroll out loud as well because I wanted to decipher what it meant. Then I was in this time and I can't take the necklace off to get back to my time. You know the rest."

Annipe just gaped at me with her mouth open for a moment.

Then, she said, "I know a place where you can get help. Come with me." I followed her back to the temple that was the hotel I was staying at in modern day Thebes. She walked inside and called out for a priest named Kahotep.

While he was walking over, she whispered to me "His name means peaceful essence."

He finished walking over and loudly and happily said "How can I help you, my children?" We told him our story.

After listening, he said " have you heard the legend about the soul-sisters?" I nodded my head yes. Then he said " you two are the soul-sisters. That means that you share the same soul. Obviously, that necklace you are wearing from the future, Abayomi, is the magical one.But, Annipe has the same necklace from our time so her's may be magical as well. As for a way to get you back to your own time, I can make an elixir. Can you come back tomorrow to retrieve it?" We nodded our heads yes. Then, we walked back to Anippe's home in silence.
