On the day of Brian's party, Brownie was walking through Misty Forest on her way to the Great Sycamore. She knew her way to the Great Sycamore- at least that's what she believed.

It had rained recently, so there were puddles everywhere, as you could imagine. 

The oak trees' leaves were still wet with raindrops, so Brownie got rained on every once in a while. She didn't wear anything formal to the party since Brian didn't say it was formal or anything like that. 

Soon Brownie found lights, banners, and sycamore leaves. She was there! She had found the Great Sycamore just by using her instincts!

Once Brownie went into the Great Sycamore, what she saw delighted her. Pokémon everywhere, simply enjoying themselves. There were a few Eevees and Eeveelutions there, but not many. There was a snack stand that had fresh water, as well as many types of sandwiches, and pastries such as Apple Pie and Red Velvet Cake. Brownie was elated to be in such a fun- loving environment. 

Brownie stayed very late at the party. In fact, it was dark out and she was still there, partying hard.

She didn't think at all about the Eeveelutions noticing she was gone.

Behind her, Brownie heard a familiar voice.

"Salutations, Brownie. Fancy meeting you here!" It was Frost the Shiny Umbreon.

"Hi, Frost! What's with all the fancy talk?" Brownie asked.

Well, I'm trying to be more formal right now, your see? My friend the Lucario told me I should try a new way of talking. So I decided to try it fancy, you know? It's going fine so far, a little hard, but mostly fine."

Before Brownie could answer, the Great Sycamore's oak doors flung open, and to her dismay, all eight Eeveelutions were standing in the doorway, looking for Brownie. 

In the front, stood Shadow, Lance, and Frost. In the middle were Pyro and Coral, and taking up the rear were Violet, Pearl, and Sunny.

Each Eeveelution looked violent and battle- ready, ready to fight. 

"Brownie!" Sunny exclaimed.

The rest of the Eeveelutions (besides Shadow) all said Brownie as well. Shadow snarled at Frost, though. (Shiny Umbreon Frost)

"Brownie, we're so glad you're okay!" Coral told her.

"You made me worried!" Violet said.

"We missed you!" Pyro whimpered.

Meanwhile, Shadow didn't care that Brownie was okay. The only thought going through his mind was: 'Frost. Frost dared to show his sorry tail in front of me again.'

While Frost wasn't looking, Shadow crept up behind him. He was going to leap on Frost. 

Shadow waited until Frost wasn't looking in his direction, and then Shadow leaped into the air, aiming for Frost's back. He scored and Frost staggered in surprise, and because a 70lb Umbreon perched on his back.

Frost looked up at his attacker, seeing who it was, his yellow eyes widened in surprise. 

"Shadow? What are you doing? Get off my back!" 

Shadow licked his lips. "So we meet again, Frost." He spit out the name Frost like it was rotting carrion.

"Shadow, seriously, get off my back." Frost asked again.

Shadow scoffed. "Never in a million years. Whatever I do to you, you deserve more than anyone else."

Violet buried her head in Pyro's fluff. "Not again." She muttered.

"What do you mean? What did I do to you?" Frost asked.

Shadow pushed at Frost's neck. "Shut up, you." He snarled at him. "Stop faking, you know why I hate you!" 

Frost cocked his head. "Wait, you hate me?" 

Shadow sighed an exasperated sigh. "Yes I hate you, you stupid idiot! I hoped you were at least smart enough to know that!" 

Pearl and Sunny decided that was enough from Shadow. 

The two came over to Shadow and Frost and planned to force Shadow away.

Meanwhile, Shadow was saying, "Get away from the Eevee, Frost. I'm concerned you have some sort of contagious brain disease like-.." 

Before he finished, Pearl wrapped her ribbons around Shadow's waist and Sunny did the same with her vines. 

"Whaaaa....? What do you think you guys are doing?" Shadow demanded. 

"Taking you away from Frost." Sunny answered.

Shadow didn't protest. As Sunny and Pearl dragged him away Shadow called, "Frost, this isn't over!" 

And that was it.

In the end, Brownie learned the Eeveelutions care about her more than she thought. 

She never wanted to leave their side again.
