A classmate of LOVE Hannie has come out and admitted to bullying him, along with his other friends in high school. The idol has mentioned before that he was bullied in one of the two high schools he attended, having to transfer because of it. Even having to of moved middle schools twice, attending three in total.

The classmate, known as person A, said that he was a delinquent growing up and took it out on other people. Hannie was the main person his group bullied.

" We would walk behind him in the hallways and kick him and slap him, sometimes tripping him up. I was close to him in the school register so I was always sat beside him, while my other friend sat behind him. We'd make him do our work, and we'd kick his desk and chair around. I'd dare him to stand up and do things, sometimes I'd make him kneel beside me at lunch as I fed him some dog food my friend brought in.

We'd beat him up a lot, and make him wear makeup to hide the bruises. The bathroom was where we usually did it, and then we'd douse him in water. He was a lot smaller then us, and was skinny and weak, so he was easy to pick on. We'd call him slurs, never calling him his real name. Only calling him 'f*ggot'.

It's haunted me my whole life, and I would never expect him to accept my apology. I have since lost contact with everyone involved, and hope they've also tried to become better people. Seeing Haneul thrive as an idol is very refreshing, and goes to show that the kind and gentle people are the ones who deserve the success and the bullies like me should be left at rock bottom. I'm so sorry Haneul. "

โ€” ORIGINAL LETTER FROM PERSON A

Specific incidents were brought up after Person B, another member of the group that bullied him, came forward.

B said there was a time when they had ordered him to take off the clothes on his top half, and they whipped him with belts and ties. A then confirmed this and added that they left him to clean it up on his own, and that he soon saw some boys from the year above helping him and eventually taking him to the infirmary. A also said that before he transferred high school, on the days leading up to it, they had decided to make him eat out-of-date fish the whole day. "He smelt really bad and was being constantly sick at break and lunch." This gave Hannie food poisoning, and landed him in the hospital and he wasn't able to complete his last few days at the school.

Hannie has given a personal statement on the matter himself:

" Hello my sarangs, I have been notified of the news surrounding me, and I'm devastated that you have all now heard what I've been through. I have since tried to forget all of this, but now I feel it's my duty to talk about the horrible things I and so many others have gone through. To become an activist against bullying and violence. I have never once thought that my bullies would ever apologise, because they certainly didn't feel bad when they were humiliating me and hospitalising me.

To forgive them is to almost say what they did wasn't wrong. I don't follow any religions or beliefs, and have no problem with never accepting their apology and letting them sit and pity themselves as the person they tortured doesn't want them to win.

I will never meet them face to face. I fear them still, I close my eyes and their faces haunt me. My anxiety disorder is built on how they treated me; they have never once expressed to me personally their forgiveness, instead going public instead of apologising to me, their victim.

I have become stronger, mentally and physically, but have no want to meet them. I know what they look like, I know how they talk, I recognise their clothes and their cars. I do not need to forgive them for bullying me, I do not need to forgive them for making my life hell. "

โ€” HANNIE, LOVE

Many K-Netz are divided on his post, but most are in support of the idol and his choice to no longer speak on the subject, and to become an activist in the fight against bullying, which is a major problem in South Korea.

USERNAME So disgusting to find this out, the fact they can talk about it so causally. I feel so bad for Hannie ๐Ÿ˜ค

USERNAME I don't know how to feel, Haneul deserves way better ๐Ÿซถ
