I was sitting on my bed with my sister when I got the text.

Can we meet up???? I need to talk to you... - Jason

My face scrunched in confusion and Hazel must've noticed.

"Who is it?" She asks, leaning over my shoulder to look at the text. "Why is Jason texting you?"

"I don't know. We haven't talked since last week when he was being weird." I reply. "Should I go?"

"Well, you told me about what happened. I don't think it's a good idea and I highly doubt Will would want you to go."

"Yeah, you're probably right..."

"Anyway!" My sister chirped, going back to her story about Frank.

When she isn't looking, I send a quick text back to Jason.

When were you thinking?

His reply comes within thirty seconds. Tomorrow?

I couldn't get Jason out of my head.

I kept replaying the hair thing over in my head and reading and rereading the texts that we had shared.

After I had agreed to meet up with him, he and I spent nearly the whole day texting.

When Will got home from work that night, I stopped texting Jason, but he didn't get the hint and kept sending me stuff about his day or corny jokes that made me smile.

"What did you want, Jason?" I ask through a mouthful of ice cream on Saturday.

"I just wanted to talk." Jason shrugs.

"About?"

"I want you back, Neeks."

I blink dumbly at him for a moment. He what? This asshole knows I'm dating Will. He can't do this to me.

"Don't call me that." I snap automatically.

He rolls his eyes. "You let Solace call you that."

"William is my boyfriend. And he isn't an asshole." I narrow my eyes at Jason in annoyance.

"Maybe." Jason rolls his eyes. "But seriously, Nico. Will you consider?"

"I'm dating Will, Jason."

"Doesn't mean anything, Nico. You know that."

"That's a low blow, Jason Grace." I seethe.

He shrugs. He reaches toward my hand. I jerk it back quickly and stand.

"You're an asshole! Lose my number; don't fucking talk to me again."

I stomp off before Jason can say another word to me.
