chapter 3: The talk
Mami's POV:
"Who was the other girl? The one with magenta hair and eyes." Kaname asked Kyubey.
I'd like to know too, for some reason she seems familiar.
"Her name is Chiyoko Mita. She's the same age as you guys. Mami became a magical girl before Chiyoko did though. She hates me because her friends who were magical girls weren't as lucky as she was." Kyubey said.
Her name is Chiyoko Mita huh?
"Chi-chan, hurry up with work so we can go to the festival!"
"Alright Mi-chan, it doesn't start till late though."
"I know."
Now I know where I've seen her before, I need to have a talk with her.
(Time skip)
Chiyoko's POV:
So Homura is letting me stay at her place and I kinda got too excited, hugging her and constantly saying thank you, but she didn't mind. It's been so long since I've actually talked to someone since I can't attend school anymore.
I decided to get fresh air, walking around, probably scaring people seeing that I'm smiling like a fan girl that just finished fangirling.
"I knew I've seen you before."
I turned around and saw Mami, she was in the same school uniform Homura, Madoka, and the blue haired girl were wearing. What, do all magical girls go to the same school?!
"Is there something you need?" I asked, prepared to transform.
"Their's no need to transform, I'm not here to fight you." Mami walked up to me. "As I was saying, I knew you seemed familiar. So your real name is Chiyoko Mita huh? Then Chi-chan is just a nickname."
My eyes widened. "How did you know that? Mi-chan was the only one who called me that."
"You used to work at the cafe near the school. You seemed happier and your hair was much longer than it is now." Mami said.
"Yeah, well that was before I became a Puella Magi, before I became cursed, before...Mi-chan died..." I felt tears falling down my face, great I'm crying now.
"I heard about that, your the only one of your friends that didn't die. I'm sure they'd want you to continue living." Mami said.
"I'm sure Uta-chan would want us to continue living."
"Uta-chan...Mi-chan...You're a lot like them...especially Uta-chan...and she was the first to die..." I cried, not thinking about what I was saying.
"I didn't mean to bring it back up, I just wanted to know why you help Akemi-san." Mami said, trying to get me to stop crying.
"Because she understands what I went through. I vowed to never trust Kyubey again after everyone died, I fight so their deaths be in vain." I said, trying to stop my tears from falling down my face.
"I see. Though I can't say that I trust Akemi-san, I will trust you. Even if you and Kyubey aren't on good terms with each other." Mami said.
"I was right. Your a lot like Uta-chan. You should be careful." I said.
"And why is that?" Mami said.
"Because you might die the same way she did." I said.
Mami's POV:
By the look on Mita's face, she was in no state to continue this conversation so I ended the conversation and left.
Kyubey can't feel emotions, so it makes sense that Mita would be mad at him.
"You're a lot like Uta-chan."
I noticed how Mita held her stomach when she mentioned one of her friends.
I'll think about this later, I have to show Kaname and Miki what it's like being a magical girl tomorrow.
Chiyoko's POV:
Uta Kano.
A year older than all of us and the first one to become a Puella Magi out of the five of us.
Also the first out of the five of us to die...
Uta had beautiful curly orange/red hair and orange eyes. She had a nice figure for a middle school girl.
Uta was extremely popular, but it wasn't her looks that made her popular. Uta was kind and encouraging. Uta was a good role model, sweet and caring, she was like an older sister.
So why did she have to die?
At the time, only Uta, Michiko, and I were magical girls. We fought witches to keep the city safe. Uta, being a magical girl longer than us, was always the one leading us. She was an amazing fighter and never let her skills get to her head.
One day, Uta discovered a labyrinth at an orphanage. She was alone because Michiko and I were studying for a test, so she called us and went into the labyrinth to find the witch.
Michiko and I were looking for Uta, but we keep getting attacked by the witch's minions, so getting to Uta quickly was difficult.
By the time we got to where the witch was at it was too late.
Uta lost her concentration for a second and witch took full advantage of it.
The witch cut Uta in half. The bottom half of her body fell forward and the top half of her body fell backwards. The look of fear was on her pale lifeless face and her eyes went dull.
Uta is dead, and we couldn't do anything about it.
Michiko and I finished off the witch. I grabbed Uta's broken orange soul gem before the labyrinth disappeared.
We saw the twins Suki and Yuki standing outside the orphanage where the witch was at.
"Chiyoko-chan, Michiko-chan, your back!" Said Yuki.
"Wait a minute, where's Uta-chan?" Asked Suki.
I broke down in tears. Uta was like an older sister and now's she's dead.
"U-Uta-chan...s-she's...she's...she's..." I sobbed.
My mind couldn't accept that she's dead. My mind DIDN'T WANT TO accept that she's dead.
I fell to my knees shaking and crying. Michiko had to tell them that Uta died.
And worst part about it all was that no one at school realized Uta was dead or missing.
To be continued.
