"Scythe mode!" I shouted.

My katana transformed into a scythe. I swung the scythe at the witch I was fighting. This witch wasn't very strong which meant this was an easy battle.

That's good, because I'm in no mood to fight witches. Well I never am but someone has to.

I hit the witch on it's weak spot and it turned into a grief seed. The labyrinth disappeared.

I collected the grief seed and transformed back to normal.

My stomach growled,(sarcastic tone) what a perfect time to be out of food.

Ever since Hisoka died, I've lived in a warn down cabin near town. Hisoka and I lived together ever since his parents and my parents past away. Hisoka was the only one who worked, I used to work too but that was before I became a Puella Magi, and I certainly can't work now, I can't even attend school anymore.

Money and food are scarce. Most of the time to save money and food I starve myself for as long as I could. People look at me weirdly but I don't care, it's not like I asked to be the only one who is still alive.

It's lonely without anyone, but I don't want anyone else to suffer the same curse everyone, Michiko, and I have been through. Seeing all of school girls walking by reminds me of Michiko.

"Chi-chan hurry up, everyone is waiting for us!"

"I'm coming Mi-chan!"

A tear goes down my face thinking about Michiko. We were so close that she called me Chi-chan (short for Chiyoko) and I called her Mi-chan (short for Michiko). We never cared about the people who thought we were dating since we knew it wasn't true. In fact I had a crush on Hisoka, Michiko figured that out right away.

Sigh, I miss everyone.

My stomach growled again, I need food...

Suddenly out of nowhere, it started to rain.

(Sarcastic tone) Just great, this day just keeps getting better!

I ran towards an abandoned building for shelter from the rain. Then I noticed that the walls started to change. This is a labyrinth, which meant there was a witch nearby.

Today is not my best day is it?

I transformed into my magical girl outfit and searched for the witch.

As soon as I located the witch I jumped to it's location.

"Crossbow mode!" I shouted and a crossbow appeared.

I shot the witch multiple times before I landed on the ground.

"Chainsaw mode!" I shouted making a chainsaw appear.

I quickly charged towards the witch and attacked it with the chainsaw.

Out of nowhere the witch slammed me into a wall, making me drop my weapon. The witch was about to attack me when suddenly it was mysteriously shot.

Out of nowhere a girl with long black hair and a purple, white, and black magical girl outfit appeared.

She must be really strong because she was able to attack the witch before it could see it coming.

The girl hit the witch on it's weak spot and it turned into a grief seed, making the labyrinth disappear.

The girl walked up to me, her face showed no expression.

"You want this right?" The girl said calmly, holding up the grief seed.

"Your the one who fought the witch, you should have it." I said.

"You fought it, I just took it down." She said, still not showing any emotion. "Your fate have already been decided for you, you'll need this to stay as you are for a bit longer."

I stood up. "I know that. I'll keep fighting witches till I either die or turn into a witch myself. That damn Kyubey tricked everyone into making a contract."

The girl suddenly turned around and looked at me like I said something she wanted to hear.

"You hate Kyubey too?" She asked.

"Of course I do. It's because of him that everyone's..."

I suddenly felt weak, I guess I starved myself for way too long. Then I passed out.

Homura's POV:

The girl in front of me passed out, her magical girl outfit changed by to normal. I checked her soul gem, it was still in good condition. I placed the grief seed next to her soul gem and it returned to normal.

Her soul gem was magenta. Her hair was magenta with purple on the tips and was tied up in pigtails with ribbons like Madoka's, except that her ribbons were pink instead of red. She looked pale though, like she hasn't eaten anything in weeks and her clothes were worn out.

She hates Kyubey too and she knows that us magical girls could turn into witches. I've never seen her before in the other timelines I've been through so I don't know anything about her.

I picked her up and quickly took her to my house. I placed her on the couch.

Her stomach growled, now I know why she passed out, she must have starved herself.

I'd like to know more about her, most other magical girls don't even know about the things Kyubey keeps hidden from us.

(Time skip)

Chiyoko's POV:

"Where am I?" I asked as I regain consciousness.

I smelled something good...it was food! My stomach growled again just thinking about it.

"Your awake."

I looked up and saw the girl from earlier, except that she was wearing a school uniform now.

I looked at the food on the table, I was starving and food was really tempting.

"You can eat it." The girl said calmly.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes." She said calmly.

"Thank you!" I said and ate the food.

"Could you tell me your name?" The girl asked.

"Oh yeah, my name is Chiyoko Mita. What's yours?"

"Homura Akemi."

"Alright, should I call you by your first-"

"You can call me by my first name."

"Alright you can call me by my first name too."

"Chiyoko-chan, I have something important to ask you." Homura said without emotion.

"What is it Homura-chan?" I asked.

"I'd like to know why you hate Kyubey."
