the sound of the doorbell rang throughout the house and jeongguk sighed.

everyone was coming over today.

that must be them. he thought.

"jeongguk come downstairs!" seokjin called.

as soon as he got down the steps, he was met with the six other boys.

they all said their heys before flocking into the living room.

the day was spent playing seokjin and jeongguk's expansive video game collection, building a giant ass pillow fort in seokjin's master bedroom, playing board games and eating a ton of crap.

currently, they were having a nerf gun battle royale in the living room.

(a/n: to any of you who've read my book "enemies", does a nerf gun battle sound familiar? lmao)

whoever got shot in the on the shoulder or above was out. if you got shot anywhere lower, you had a ten second time out.

hoseok, jeongguk and taehyung were currently the last three standing.

jimin and yoongi cheered for hoseok, seokjin cheered for jeongguk and namjoon cheered for taehyung.

"i've got you now, pussy!" hoseok laughed, aiming at taehyung.

just as he was about to pull the trigger on taehyung, he was shot in the head.

"ow, what the fuck?" hoseok yelled, outraged.

"die, bitch." jeongguk cheered, shooting him on the forehead once again.

seokjin whistled, pretending to be a referee, "hobi, you're out!"

once hoseok left the scene, it was just taehyung and jeongguk.

one thing taehyung had yet to learn about jeongguk so far was that the younger could be extremely competitive when he wanted to be. he was about to find this out.

jeongguk had caught him in a corner.

he walked towards him and taehyung slowly backed up, aiming his gun at him, "stay back, i'll 360 no-scope you right now, bitch!"

jeongguk giggled almost scarily and simply knocked the gun out of taehyung's hand and continued stepping closer.

there was a sort of tension in the air but taehyung couldn't put his finger on it.

something about jeongguk backing him up into a corner, a smug smirk on his face. it made taehyung squirm.

he knew that he was being delusional and that jeongguk probably couldn't feel it nor could the other five males who were watching them in anticipation. however, that didn't stop a slight redness from rising to his cheeks or his hands becoming slightly more sweaty.

jeongguk leaned in.

closer.

and closer.

and then...

"headshot, bitch." he muttered with a smirk before shooting taehyung square between his eyebrows with ease.

then he stepped back and taehyung sighed. he hadn't realised that he was holding his breath for so long.

the boys had a round of applause.

"well done jeongguk for winning the sixth round in a row." hoseok said, salty.

yoongi laughed at him and kissed his cheek.

"sore loser." jeongguk stated, still with a comfortable smirk resting on his face. a smirk that did things to taehyung that he didn't want to admit to himself.

"okay, well, since jeongguk wins literally every game we play and it's already like 11pm, i say we order a pizza and watch movies in the pillow fort upstairs." seokjin suggested.

"sounds great, babe." namjoon agreed, kissing his head and bringing him under his arm.

"ewww, get a room." jimin whined.

"you didn't say that to yoongi and hobi." taehyung muttered under his breath.

jimin kicked him slightly and whispered, "shut the fuck up."

"ouchie." taehyung pouted.

"first person upstairs gets to pick the movie!" hoseok yelled before dashing upstairs.

the others chased after him but he was already so far ahead that they accepted their fate.

guess it was another night of animated disney movies.

~time skip~

the boys sat all huddled up inside the fort. they left an opening at the front where seokjin's TV could be seen.

it had been around two hours and it was now 1am.

hoseok, yoongi and jimin were all fast asleep next to eachother.

jin and namjoon were sitting up front, invested in the movie "finding dory".

jeongguk and taehyung were way at the back. they both shared the opinion that sitting at the very back of the movie theatre is elite and creates the best viewing experience. therefore, they both wanted to sit at the very back of the fort.

taehyung slightly regretted it now, though.

why?

because he didn't realise how much jeongguk's close proximity would effect him.

i mean, he admitted to jimin and to himself that jeongguk was definitely hot. he knew that the younger boy was attractive because, well... he had eyes.

that being said, it was kinda hard to concentrate when an extremely sexy man was basically pressed against you in the dark.

jeongguk looked forward at the screen the whole time, checking his phone occasionally. he seemed totally unfazed.

he knew that jeongguk wasn't the biggest fan of physical affection unless he was close with that person. he was very touchy with yoongi but that's because he was really close to him. same thing went for seokjin and hoseok. other than those three, he didn't show much affection.

from what taehyung understood, jeongguk was affectionate, he just needed to be comfortable enough with you to show it.

which is why he was rather shocked at how jeongguk showed zero intention of moving away along with zero signs of discomfort. he seemed totally fine with their extreme closeness.

so was it just taehyung that was making it weird?

jeongguk didn't care so why should he?

this is fine.

that's what he kept telling himself even though he was kinda freaking out.

that's when it hit him.

he was literally having a mini panic attack about jeongguk sitting next to him.

why the fuck is he going crazy about jeongguk being close to him?

they're supposed to be friends, it's not a big deal.

at that moment taehyung realised...

he was crushing on jeon jeongguk.

fuck! he cursed at himself.

why?! why the fuck am i crushing on him?

this was not supposed to happen, oh fuck.

suddenly a voice whispered in his ear, "are you alright?"

he was having a crisis over jeongguk and it didn't help when he whispered in his ear all raspy like that.

for fuck's sake.

"h-huh?" he looked over to him, instantly regretting it because their faces were insanely close.

"you look like you've seen a ghost." jeongguk commented.

"i'm fine, i just zoned out." taehyung quickly composed himself.

jeongguk shrugged and tuned his attention back into his phone.

but there taehyung was, blushing out of his mind at how he could literally feel jeongguk's minty breath on his lips just a second ago.

that's when taehyung realised he had a problem.

he now knew he had a crush on jeongguk but only a couple weeks ago they had agreed to become closer as friends.

this is where taehyung's predicament begins.
