currently, the group of seve- well, actually it was eight right now. why? because jiwoo was here today.

it all started when jimin spontaneously decided to drive up to the beach for the day with taehyung.

then, he told hoseok about the plan when they were talking and so eventually yoongi knew aswell. then, yoongi told seokjin who obviously told namjoon.

on top of that, taehyung had told jeongguk and he told jiwoo.

that led to the entire groupchat asking jimin and taehyung why they were going to the beach without them.

so the duo decided to change their plans from a soulmate trip to a group trip.

now, all 8 of them were in 3 different cars, on their way to the beach.

in seokjin's car was himself, namjoon and jiwoo. in yoongi's car was him, hoseok and jimin. then, finally, there was jeongguk and taehyung in the latter's car.

the namjinwoo car was calm and collected. seokjin watched the road, namjoon watched seokjin and jiwoo watched them both while secretly taking pinterest-worthy photos of them.

the yoonminseok car was silent chaos. yoongi drove quietly and seriously. hoseok would screech out the lyrics of songs occasionally when it got to the parts he liked. jimin would constantly post on his instagram story and mess around with the seatbelt until he was practically in a girlscout knot.

the taegguk car was just as it usually is.

"stop distracting me, damn!" taehyung laughed at jeongguk who was using the car mirror to draw little pictures on his own cheeks with taehyung's liquid eyeliner.

"i'm sorry that my picasso level artwork is catching you off guard." jeongguk said way too seriously to be actually genuine.

"picasso? more like me in the second grade." taehyung snorted.

"unless you drew like picasso in the second grade, that statement is incorrect." jeongguk said, drawing cat whiskers on himself.

"i thought you said you liked to draw?" taehyung questioned.

"a liquid eyeliner brush on my cheek is different to a pencil on paper, love." jeongguk said matter-of-factly.

that seemed to be a new nickname of jeongguk's: "love"

he'd called taehyung the word quite a few times in the last couple weeks since they'd made up.

it was definitely taehyung's favourite one.

"babe" was cute.
"baby" made his heart flutter.
"bubba" made his heart physically hurt.
"petal" was his previous favourite.

however, this new one that jeongguk had given him, "love", was definitely the best.

love, my love, my lovely, my lover. all these things seemed to flow from jeongguk's mouth so easily.

"why're you smiling like that?" jeongguk poked his cheek.

"you're just precious. that's all." taehyung continued to smile.

"well, i could've easily told you that." jeongguk rolled his eyes playfully.

"oh shut up. i'm never complimenting you ever again starting today."

"whatever you say, my love, whatever you say."

~time skip~

one after the other, all three cars had arrived at the beach.

"finally!" hoseok was the first to scramble out of the car, in a hurry. he hated sitting in one spot for so long.

"we're here!" jiwoo sang, dragging seokjin and a half-asleep namjoon behind her.

"we survived!" jimin yelled, hopping out of the car.

"the only way you'd have a possibility of dying is if you or hoseok drove." yoongi rolled his eyes.

"nah, knowing you, you'd probably crash it on purpose just to get rid of us." jimin corrected.

"where are taehyung and jeongguk?" seokjin asked.

"still in the car, i'll go get them." jiwoo said.

she came walking back ten seconds later.

"i thought you were getting taehyung and jeongguk?" hoseok raised an eyebrow.

"they're making out so i left them alone." jiwoo shrugged.

everyone groaned simultaneously.

"bro, why are they constantly horny?"

"they cannot go five seconds without kissing."

"what's wrong with them?"

"YAH! STOP SUCKING FACE AND GET OUT HERE!"

"they have no chill. they don't rest."

after they managed to drag jeongguk and taehyung away from eachother, the gang set up their spot.

loads of blankets laid across the sand, food for a picnic and stuff to keep them entertained (alcohol and a nintendo switch).

it was coming up to the evening and they were in a secluded part of the seaside. that being said, the beach was rather empty. only a few people were there: it looked like two couples.

the perfect environment for our group to act like they owned the place.

"let's party! woo!" jimin screamed, jumping around and hoseok joined him a second later.

"let's go!" he yelled along with him.

with that, the two most energetic of the bunch started racing down the sand.

"i'll get the bandaids." yoongi sighed, rummaging through one of the bags.

"why?" namjoon raised a brow.

yoongi explained, "because hoseok is about to trip over that rock in three, two, one..."

"OUCH, WHAT THE FUCK?!"

"called it. coming, babe!" yoongi shook his head, jogging tragically slow over to his injured boyfriend.

taehyung snorted, "this group is a trainwreck."

"tell me about it. hoseok's always been a loose cannon but he's precious." jiwoo agreed.

taehyung looked over to her and smiled.

something about meeting jiwoo for the first time made him really giddy.

after learning that she was, in fact, jeongguk's cousin, he'd been dying to officially meet her. especially considering that it wouldn't be tense or awkward since he and jeongguk had resolved their problems.

it was his first time meeting jeongguk's family.

i mean, it wasn't his parents or anything like that but taehyung knew that jeongguk didn't have the best relationship with his family. jiwoo, in a way, was jeongguk's only family left. taehyung knew this and so he badly wanted her to like him.

"we never actually met officially, did we?" taehyung started.

"no, i don't think we have. i'm jiwoo. jeon jiwoo." the girl smiled, holding a friendly hand out to him.

"kim taehyung. i'm namjoon's brother." he greeted, taking her hand in his own.

"i love your brother's music. i wanted to tell him myself but i'm too awkward." jiwoo laughed.

"you should definitely tell him. he loves when people stroke his ego from time to time." taehyung giggled.

"noted," she chuckled, "so taehyung... anything else about you? you're namjoon's brother, jimin's bestfriend... jeongguk's boyfriend?" she raised an eyebrow teasingly.

taehyung's face went red, "i- we just- no, we're not but-"

"i'm kidding. i know you aren't official, i just wanted to see your reaction. it was worth it." jiwoo laughed again.

"you're okay with that?" taehyung asked.

"okay with what?"

"you're okay that me and jeongguk aren't official? i mean, some families wouldn't like the sound of that. i thought that maybe you'd think i don't take him seriously. it's not that i don't want to be with him it's just that-"

"i get it. i know jeongguk. he's definitely a handful. in a non-offensive way, of course. he's just new this sort of stuff. serious relationships, i mean. i know that you guys just got over a rough patch so i won't judge you for taking it slow." jiwoo said, smiling reassuringly.

"thank you," taehyung smiled back at her, "i just really want jeongguk to open up to me before we get into a relationship, yknow? and i don't really wanna bring it up because i want him to be the one to ask me. that way, i'll know he's ready because he's the one who took initiative."

"just take your time with jeongguk and he'll tell you all you need to know. he just needs reassurance, that's all. after the whole ordeal, i think he needs time to settle back down. i mean, he seems pretty settled already if i'm being honest. i saw you two eating eachother's faces off in the car." jiwoo snorted.

taehyung's face went red once more, "you saw that?"

"hun, literally everyone saw that. just because seokjin was the one who dragged you away, doesn't mean the rest of us didn't see." jiwoo cackled.

"god..." taehyung groaned.

"don't worry, i'm not his mum or anything so you don't need to worry about your first impression and shit like that. don't be weary around me." she said casually.

"good to know." taehyung grinned.

"taehyung, i found a big ass snail! look at this shit!" jeongguk yelled from a distance.

taehyung looked over to see jeongguk holding up a rather giant snail.

"ew! babe, put that down!" he called back.

the next thing taehyung knew, jeongguk was running at him full speed with the snail in his hand.

"no! no! jeongguk, no! stop!" taehyung screeched, scrambling up from his spot next to jiwoo and running for the hills.

jiwoo laughed hysterically at the pure horror on taehyung's face, pulling out her phone to record their antics.

meanwhile, on the other side of the beach, jimin walked hand in hand with both yoongi and hoseok.

"are we ever gonna tell them?" hoseok questioned.

"about what?" yoongi asked.

"well... this." hoseok snorted, motioning to their intertwined hands.

"well, we'll have to tell them at some point. if not then they'll just find out on their own and i've seen enough netflix originals to know that probably wouldn't be pretty." jimin spoke up.

yeah...

jimin may or may not be dating both hoseok and yoongi.

yeah, all three of them were dating eachother.

they each now had two boyfriends.

and no one else in the group knew.

there was so much drama going on with taehyung and jeongguk in the last month and a half so it just didn't feel like the right time to come clean. now, they were in a predicament because they had no idea how to tell everyone that jimin had been part of their relationship for a whole month now.

jimin didn't want to tell taehyung about how happy he was in his new relationship when his best friend was in distress over jeongguk. it just wouldn't be right.

"well, i say we wing it. you only live once." hoseok said, breaking out into a damn cartwheel.

yoongi looked at him fondly. god, he loved hoseok. the only person who gave him energy half the time.

and now there's jimin.

having both hoseok and jimin around all the time made yoongi feel like he was on acid. he had no idea what to expect from either of them but that's what he loved about them both.

when hoseok got to his fourth cartwheel he fell over into the sand and jimin jumped on top of him in a giggling mess.

they were like a pair of puppies.

yoongi sighed and sat down next to them, putting his feet into the water slightly.

peaceful chaos.

just the way he liked it.

back up on a nearby hill, namjoon and seokjin strolled along hand in hand.

they were simply admiring the sunset, not saying much, sometimes exchanging a few shy glances.

they'd been dating for how long now? ten months? you'd think they were past their blushy, nervous phase but they honestly weren't.

their relationship seemed a lot more sophisticated from the outside looking in. however, in reality, namjoon was still clumsy and awkward while seokjin still told his dad jokes and covered his face when namjoon complimented him.

once they'd reached the top of the hill, they sat at the cliff-like edge and looked out onto the water. the sun had already partially sunken into the horizon and the water glistened in the orange light.

"it's so beautiful up here." seokjin breathed.

"would you slap me if i said it's not as beautiful as you?" namjoon chuckled.

"i'd push you off the cliff! i make the jokes in this relationship." seokjin looked offended.

namjoon laughed at him before they settled back into comfortable silence.

suddenly, seokjin spoke, "sorry about the whole ordeal with jeongguk and taehyung by the way. i know i shouldn't have talked to him so harshly. he's your brother and-"

"it's fine. you told him exactly what he needed to hear. if i knew what was going on, i would've said the exact same thing. i tried to tell him to give jeongguk another chance but he doesn't always listen to me. you live with jeongguk so you saw his pain firsthand. i think that you needed to be the one to talk some sense into him because you were the only one who could tell him how much jeongguk needed him. he deserved what you said. besides, look at them now." namjoon pointed to them, all the way down on the beach.

the pair were cuddled up on one of the blankets on the sand, taehyung burried into jeongguk's chest as the latter kissed his boy's blonde hair.

namjoon continued, "you're the one who got taehyung to come around. if you didn't, they wouldn't have been sucking eachother's faces off in the car earlier."

"what a way to end your speech." seokjin chuckled, his head falling to lay on namjoon's lap who gladly stroked his fingers through his hair.

"don't doubt yourself, that's what i'm trying to say. you're doing great seokjin. not just for jeongguk but for everyone. besides, you're basically taehyung's brother too now. you'll be his brother in law one day." namjoon stated.

"is this your way of not-so-discreetly telling me that you plan on proposing to me one day?" seokjin raised an eyebrow.

"i didn't think it was a secret." namjoon pouted.

seokjin simply sat up and pecked him with a soft smile.

~time skip~

the whole gang had gathered up in a circle. they were making smores as it had gotten darker and, therefore, colder.

well, the whole group minus taehyung and jeongguk.

those two were on their own little adventures as usual.

they were currently lazing around at the edge of the sea. the sun hadn't fully disappeared but they could tell that it would soon. the sky was a mixture of pinks, purples and a deep dark blue.

"i saw you and jiwoo talking for a while earlier." jeongguk made conversation.

"yeah?"

"yeah... what were you talking about?" jeongguk asked.

"not much. i mean, today was my first time meeting her. we introduced and caught up for a bit before you came attacking me with a snail." taehyung chuckled.

"was she...?" jeongguk questioned.

"was she what?"

"was she okay? did you like her?" he asked.

"she's lovely, of course i liked her." taehyung reassured.

"good." jeongguk sighed.

taehyung looked at him, "what is it? what's on your mind?"

"i just- i really want you to like her. she's the only family i still talk to and- and she's really important to me. i want you to get along with her." jeongguk answered.

it warmed taehyung's heart to know that jeongguk wanted him to get along with his family. it showed that he was serious.

on top of that, he said that it's important to him that he likes jiwoo. it's important to him that he gets along with jiwoo. not the other way around. he put taehyung first: he made taehyung his priority. it caused butterflies to erupt inside his chest.

"well, i love jiwoo. anyone that's important to you, they're important to me too." taehyung confessed honestly.

they sat in comfortable silence for a while, soaking in the last seconds of the sun.

"remember when i threw you in that pool?" jeongguk said suddenly.

"vividly. why?" taehyung replied.

"because i have the strong urge to throw you in the water right now." jeongguk said with a mischievous glint in his eye, picking taehyung up bridal style.

taehyung hit his chest, "i swear to god, jeongguk i- AH!"

aaaaand, there he goes.

"seriously, jeon?" taehyung deadpanned when he emerged soaking wet from the sea.

jeongguk then cannonballed into the water next to him.

jeongguk took a moment to admire taehyung when he arose from the water.

his now soaked and swept back blonde hair. his mismatching eyelids. his little moles. clear skin with flushed cheeks, soft lips that adorned an even softer smile ans his cute little nose. jeongguk would forever be starstruck ny taehyung. he'd forever see taehyung as the most beautiful thing on the planet.

everytime he met taehyung's eyes, he felt like he'd been blown apart in a supernova. this feeling he got... it was love. he was so sure. he made no mistake two weeks ago when he told taehyung he loved him. no mistake at all.

jeongguk grabbed him from behind, kissing his cheek, and taehyung leaned back into his hold.

"love you." jeongguk mumbled against the back of his neck.

taehyung turned around in his hold so that he was facing him, "love you too." then he kissed him.

sure, the sun had now vanished and the water was freezing, but something inside them felt warm and fuzzy still.

"i really do."
