The silence feels deafening
But I know that it will not be staying
For the thing that will surely come
Doesn't say gone long

The first clue, a minute of silence
Its a cue to the violence

The second is heart racing
Because I know it's not something I should be facing

Next is my weakened will
Only survived by a bone crushing chill

Telling me that I have no choice
Telling my of all the hate

The whispers of not being enough
That everyone would only laugh
If they knew me, a broken soul
It would only open the door so I can fall

You'd be better of dead

Remember what the loneliness felt like
It will only let the feeling spike

There's no place for hope in your world
For that, the wounds are too old

Free yourself the monster within said softly
It splayed the words out roughly
It would be so easy to believe
To think it would bring relief
But there's nothing after that act
No hope after the fact
No hope of a better future
And there's something out there I'm sure

So I responded once, hope cannot die
It could all be a lie
Hope is your biggest rival
