I can see it, the fall
It was my doing, after all

The wind sliced as I set the night alight
A occurrence I didn't bother to fight
For me, the sun fell that night
It disappeared from my sight

Instead I stared at a dark and barren soul
So much that wasn't revealed after the fall
How no one would answer my call
Knees deep into that soil..

There was nothing but me
It occurred to me that's all there will ever be
Me and only me
Because they didn't want to see

The pain and confusion
The start of a revolution

The care I felt was never about me
Just something they pretended to be

I left and the stars couldn't keep their beauty
My dreams had been faulty
And I had been guilty

The world grew cold and blood was shed
All because I couldn't control what was in my head
The monster I had fed
The viper made a home in my bed

I couldn't go back after what I've done
That part of me was forever gone
And I knew it wouldn't be long
Until I seek out the place I really came from
