I sat at the table beside James, seeing nothing but bronze all around us. How the hell were we supposed to eat this? I blink quietly and continue to stare at my food, I know everyone else was thinking the same thing I was.

‘How the hell do you eat this? Is this even edible?’

Blinking more to the food, I touch it cautiously and feel it melt it from my finger, I gasp quietly seeing it fall down, what the hell?! I touch it again and it melted again, um. . . could this be edible?

James saw what I was doing and grabbed a bite and ate it. It was good, tasted just like the food at home, he touched my shoulder, but he felt it tense then he quickly let go and I began speaking for King Danny.

“Thank you all for coming!” King Danny’s voice from my mouth boomed across the room. James, Uhura, and Spock all watch me speak, both Uhura and Spock were confused on why I was speaking and not the king himself? Did they miss something or was it what James and I were trying to explain earlier. “Especially to the humans who decided to welcome us with their presence here. This feast is for you, and I do hope you enjoy it while you’re here.”

“Thank you, King Danny.” James smiled holding up his. . . drink, and the king did the same thing and made sure everyone else did too. When the king sat back down, I grabbed my head, and began shaking it. “Are you okay, Aria?” questioned the Captain once more in a whisper.

I shake my head. “Man, it feels like I’ve been hit by a truck. And then ran over again. . .” I groan loudly and then put my head down on the table to relieve the nausea that was building up. When it finally eased, I sat up and smiled towards James, because I knew he was worried.

“You okay Ari?” questioned my best friend, Uhura. I nod lightly and begin slowly to eat my food. They begin too, wondering if I really was alright.

When we were finally done, Aria stood up and began walking out of the mess hall and back to the ship. I had such a migraine and I had no idea why, James tried to explain why but I chose to ignore him because how can they do that anyway? I shake my head again holding my head as the headache grew more. I then began to feel faint. It hurt so bad as I stopped walking, feeling faint.

“U-Uhura. . .” I stuttered out and she turned around seeing me falling, Spock turned just in time to catch me, what was going on?

“Ari!” Uhura called out in worry touching my arm as James grabbed me and held me bridal style, “is she okay?”

“We’d better find out.” James agrees hoping I was okay. “Let’s get to McCoy quickly.”

They all nod and quickly head to McCoy to find out what was wrong with me, these migraines were not normal.
