I saw Aria leave, but I knew why. My fatherly instinct was kicking in and I wanted to follow her, but I knew I couldn’t. I had a ship to guide, I had to figure out what to do. Aria was right, if we didn’t find a way to stop this we would crash into the unknown planet.

“Captain, we will be crash landing in thirty seconds.” Sulu and Chekov announced loudly so he could hear them.

My hope and pride was with Aria, I knew she was scared about Chasity. I knew Chasity would be okay, but – something about Aria made me worry. Her motherly instinct must be in high gear.

“James, are you there?” I heard Aria’s voice speak through my wrist.

My heart jumped, as I lifted my wrist up and spoke back. “Aria, is everything alright?”

“Everything is fine, Chasity is just smiling away. Now, as acting First Officer of this ship, James T. Kirk! Stop it from crash landing!”

Finally snapping out of it, I snapped out of my thoughts quickly, I commanded the ship to make sure it landed safely. For my little family, and for my crew! The crew did their job and landed on the ground, hard, but not enough to damage the ship. I pushed my wrist up to my mouth and turn it on.

“Aria. . .” No answer. My heart began to race, please tell me something didn’t happen. “Aria, come in, are you okay?”

“. . .” I heard static from her end, was she trying to contact me? “J. . . James. . .” I heard and my heart began beating faster. “Ca. . . Can you. . . me!”

“I’m here Aria, are you okay?!”

“I. . . the baby is. . .” The static continues, but it stopped right now. My heart broke, something happened, I know it did.

“Captain, everyone is fine.” Chekov confirmed and I nod. “What should we do?”

“Look around, we have to see where we’re at. Spread out if you have too.” I replied to him and he nods and everyone got up and walked off into groups. I heard the door open and I see Aria and Chasity, my heart soared and I couldn’t help but smile. Everyone was alright! I trotted over to them and Chasity gave me a big hug when Aria handed her to me.

Aria smiles at my face, she knew I was happy as I smile at her. “See, I told you we were fine.”

I smile at her smiling face, and I bring her into the hug and she hugs me back, I take in her scent, the smell of French Vanilla and Hazelnut, both so amazing it drove me nuts, and somehow – I think she knew how bad it did. She tensed in my hold, she sensed something, as she grabbed Chasity, she hid behind me. I blink confused, letting my gaze hit the thing in front of us, it was like a bronzed Jenga piece, but they weren’t connected, you could even smell the scent of bronze in the room.

“Who are you and why are you on the USS Enterprise.”

I had no answer, it walked towards me, I kept Aria behind me hiding Chasity, it was what we did when we had trouble, she knew it. Bronze was somehow getting on the ship and we found out why.

“I am Captain James T. Kirk, please answer the question.”

Suddenly, I felt Aria tense again and she began talking but in a different voice. “I am King Danny and I am not here to hurt anyone, I was shocked to find some humans roaming our planet.”

I was wondering what was going on, but I then realized – they couldn’t speak on their own so they used Aria to do so. I looked back and they continued speaking through Aria.

“We actually mean no harm to you or your crew, it has been so long since we have had interaction with human specimen like you.”

I kept Chasity behind me so he wouldn’t see her, something about him doesn’t sit right with me and I’m sure Aria could sense it too.

“Would you like to join us in a tour around the planet Nazareth?”

“Sure, just give me and my First Officer a few minutes.” King Danny respected my request and left slowly, and I turned to Aria seeing her shaking her head as I touch her shoulders. “Are you okay?”

I see her nod and looks at me. “What happened?” She questions me. “All I remember is pain in my head and I blacked out.”

“King Danny of Nazareth wants to give us a tour, but I don’t think they should see Chasity.” I queried to her. “If they do, I’m afraid something will happen to her.”

I felt Aria fume, I knew she hated when I suggested that. Everyone did. But she knew it was the truth – finally giving in she looked Chasity and she yawned, as I grabbed her and hugged her close. Chasity hugged me back and Aria stared at us.

“What do we do?” Aria implored, “We can’t just leave her here by herself, so it’s best if I stay here and keep an eye on her and see if I can get the ship working again and maybe –“ I cut her off.

“Aria. . .” I softly began. “Come with me, explore the planet, Chasity will be fine, there are some people here who would be willing to watch Chasity for us.”

I felt Aria sigh, she finally nodded. I grin and she looked at Chasity who looks back at her with a cheesy grin. I chuckle knowing she had my type of grin.

“Alright, let’s go.” I began talking as Aria took Chasity somewhere to make sure someone watched her. I began thinking about what Aria was meaning. My mind began drifting to something else – something about this planet didn’t sit right with Aria and she knew it, but why wouldn’t she tell me about it.

Letting out quick sigh, I walk off the ship to find out where we were, seeing the planet was – very shiny. Bronzed even! Good god, how can they even live here? What sector are we at? Many questions ran through my mind without an answer, I knew I had to get them myself, but – how could I? Would they answer any question I had or would they ignore me? More questions ran through my mind that I didn’t notice Aria coming back without Chasity.

“James. . .” I heard her call out, startling me. I turn to her as she smiles my way. I lightly smile her way and we leave the ship before any damage was done more.

My thoughts traveled back to Chasity, something about this trip might happen to her. . .
